Next-day!
Saturday
Since the day was Saturday, Finn decided to just stay at work to work, so that he can spend time with max and also meet Leo.
As soon as Leo entered the gate, he was lost admiring the beauty that he forgot that people were waiting for him inside.
The day before, kady had advised him to behave normal and not embarrass Daria.
He pressed the bell and Helen opened the door.
“No wonder Daria doesn’t want me to come here, she is really enjoying here.”, He said with a frown.
“You can sit, I will inform Mr Finn that you are around.”, She said and Leo nodded.
“Who are you?”, Max asked looking at Leo with a big frown.
“You are the spoilt child right? It’s nice to meet you.”, Leo said and max just frowned.
“Who are you and what do you want here?”, He asked again.
“I am your uncle, so you can just call me uncle Leo.”, He said and smiled.
“Leo you are here.”, Daria said.
“Is this the little spoilt kid you told me about?”, He asked pointing at max and Daria just smiled.
“That was before.”, She replied.
“I am glad that you still like Daria cos I am sure that she must have made you go through hell.”, Leo said to max and Daria h!t his head.
“You can’t stop bad mouthing me huh! You better say good things about me to Finn.”, She said and Leo nodded.
“You won’t still say it?”, He asked as she pulled his hair and he growled in pain.
“You are ruffling my hair.”, He complained and max only looked at the both of them with a big frown on his face.
When Daria noticed that Finn was already in the living, she quickly let go of him immediately and Leo just glared at her as he tried arranging his hair back.
“Good morning!”, Leo greeted Finn.
“I am Finn Carter.”, Finn introduced himself.
“I am …!”
“Leo —- your sister already told me about you.”, Finn completed and Leo stared at Daria.
“She must have said good things about me right Daria?”, He asked and she just rolled her eyes.
“I only got to know about you recently, that’s why I just asked to see you today.”, He said.
“Well I have been asking Daria to introduce you to me but she would never answer me, she doesn’t take me serious and I think it’s because I am the younger sibling.”, He said and she sneered at him.
“So why do you like my sister?”, He asked and Daria glared at Leo threatening to pvnch him because of the question he asked.
“I just like her, I don’t have a specific reason.”, He replied.
“What if one day you realize that you no longer like my sister?”, He asked and Daria was so done with the type of questions he was asking.
“Then I guess I will fall for her all over again.”, He replied.
“I am actually surprised that my sister has a boyfriend, you won’t believe that she on e said that you asked her out on the day of her interview.”, Leo said and Daria threw pillow at him.
“What do you want to eat Leo?”, She asked as she gripped his shoulder and applied force on it, making him scream.
“No I am okay, I am sure that uncle Finn doesn’t mind us talking.”, Leo said trying to escape his sister and Finn just laughed.
“No you must be so hungry, you must eat something.”, She said with a gritted teeth.
“Uncle Finn please tell her to stop buIIying me, after all I am your brother in law.”, He said running to Finn’s side.
“Fine!!! I’m leaving.”, Daria said as he left with max.
“So do you agree to me dating your sister?”, Finn asked.
“Does it matter? My opinion doesn’t matter anyway.”, He replied.
“Of course it matters, apart from the fact that you are her only family, you are her brother.
You are also in charge of taking care of her, so it will be only right for me to ask you to give me a chance in your sister’s life.”
“I have no problem with you dating Daria at all, she looks happy with you.”, He replied.
“So that means you agree?”
“You can put it like that.”, He said.
“It’s nice meeting you brother in law.”, Finn said stretching his hand for a handshake.
“Sane here brother in law.”, Leo said taking his handshake and they both laughed.
“Continue telling me about your sister, I want to use it to tease her.”, He said.
“Can you believe that Daria wakes up late for any interview? She woke up late for your interview and forgot to brush her teeth, she didn’t even spend up to 5 minutes in the bathroom and as he rushed to where the interview would take place, she said she bumped into max and max poured a drink on her.”, Leo said and Finn laughed.
“And after everything, she blamed kady and I for not waking her Early and we did but she never stood up.”, He added and they both laughed.
“But if she didn’t bumped into max, she wouldn’t be here and I probably would have never met her.”, Finn said.
“And I am happy that you met her, sometimes I don’t like how my sister only thinks of taking care of me, I don’t like that she doesn’t think much about herself and that’s why I have a part time job against her will.”
“Don’t tell her please, I don’t want her to get mad or we will just fight again.”, He said.
“Why don’t you live with us? So that I take take full responsibility of you.”, Finn suggested.
“No!!! I am not a kid anymore, I can take care of myself. Just take care of my sister and besides there is one crazy lady that I stay with.”
“Do you know how it’s like to stay with girls?”, He asked, whispering into Finn’s ears.
“I only stayed with my sister for a while.”, Finn found himself whispering back.
He didn’t even know why he was whispering back.
“You can never become lonely because they never stop talking about what happened and it’s like you are watching a drama, it’s also tiring especially for the ones that have bad luck in love because you have to bring a solution to their problem.”, He whispered and Finn laughed.
“What could Leo will telling Finn? Leo is surely dead”, Daria said trying to eavesdrop from the corner she and max was watching from.
“So annoying!”, Max muttered as he glared hard at Leo.
