“Malik stop! Malik I’ll kill you! Malik, Malik!!!!!!!” She screamed as he dragged down her jeans, revealing her multicolored male boxers.

Adeline felt her blood evaporating over the top, and her breaths got lost somewhere in her throat as her eyes nearly popped.

“Now to the real deal” Malik grinned and made to take off the boxers too, but a kick suddenly came from the side, landing on his face.

Malik flew to a nearby oak tree, his back hitting the wood so hard that when he landed back on the ground, he was bleeding from the mouth.

The two holding Adeline quickly let go of her as they saw who it is.

It’s Jinx and Poe, and Jinx is the one who threw the kick.

Right now, Jinx’s eyes are brewing fire, ready to burn Malik to the ground.

Adeline quickly pulled back her jeans before standing, immediately getting the surprise of her life when she saw the girls.

“You two…” Poe said, walking to the other two guys.

“The second master ordered us” The first one said boldly, still stepping back though.

“Master Igor?” Poe replied.

“Yes! Don’t try to interfere at all” the second one added, and in the next minute, Poe threw a punch his way.

He avoided it by swaying aside, but Poe outsmarted him by using her leg this time, literally kicking him like a ball.

He landed beside Malik, and she did the same to the second guy.

That one landed far away from them.

Malik stood with bloody mouth, but before he could gather his breaths, Jinx was already with him.

She grabbed him by the neck, and he immediately knuckled her stomach..

That didn’t stop her though, cos she started strangling him, her home on his neck getting murderous.

“Jinx!” Poe quickly started trying to pull her back, but Jinx looks too mad to listen.

Meanwhile, Adeline has an interesting look on her face as she watched the beating.

Her eyes are on Jinx’s fingers, and she’s silently mastering the position of each finger on the guy’s neck, learning how to choke masterfully.

Earlier when Poe kicked them too, she made sure to pay attention to the manner at which she raised her leg, and she’d surely do it if need comes for it.

“Jinx!” Poe continued trying to tear her away from Malik who’s nearly dead right now, but Jinx stayed adamant, determined to waste him.

“Remember what happens if you kill a mobster unjustly? You’ll get killed! Jinx!” Poe pulled again, and this time, Jinx let go.

Malik fell on his butt with a reddish purple neck, and more blood is pouring out of his mouth right now.

He backed the tree, redness covering his shirt in the front.

“Killing him won’t be unjust, how dare he mess with Master’s boy?” Jinx breathed harshly.

“We both know you’re not like this only because he’s Master’s boy, but because of your blind crush on him” Poe said straight, and Jinx calmed more.

“Don’t fuçking judge me” she said.

“I’m not, I’m just telling you killing Malik would make the hate between Igor and Death stronger. Let that sink in and let’s go” Poe said.

Jinx released a calm breath afterwards, then she walked fast to Adeline who’s still fantasizing over her newly learnt skills

Adeline’s eyes widened so much on the ground, unable to believe her hot red ears.

The silence is deafening right now, obviously because no one expected that kind of turn.

The mobsters have their mouths hung in a circle, and the faces of the others showed how shocked they are.

“Did he just say that?” Loud muttered.

“You heard right” Nikolai replied beside him.

“Something seems off” Poe said.

“Who cares? He’s in!” Jinx shrugged excitedly.

Kimberly is currently unsure of how to feel.

Everyone in this clan is aware that Madden is cautious and calculative to a fault. He never does anything without a profitable reason, so this is just bothersome.

As for Malik, he’s busy wondering why Madden suddenly changed the rules all for Adeline.

Is there something he doesn’t know?

This only made his hatred for him grow stronger, and he might just kill him faster than he had planned.

Trixie just smiled and left the place, then Sin followed her.

Adeline looked up slowly, sweat still cascading down her face to her neck.

Her eyes met with Madden’s, and she surely saw him smirk again.

It’s like the smirk is part of his face whenever their eyes meet. This will be the third time he’d be witnessing it, and she wondered why, even in her spent position.

“To your feet” he ordered, and she gulped.

Will she really be able to stand up with the way her legs and arms are aching and shaking right now?

She started trying to stand, but she fell back.

Igor who has been silent finally spoke up…

“Are you seriously taking him in? HIM? look how weak he is, and he didn’t even pass the simple trial”

He was giving Adeline a bitter look as he said each word.

“You know you seriously don’t have to talk, right Igor?” Madden faced him.

“Or what?” Igor scoffed.

“I am the head trainer here, and this is my ground. On my grounds, you follow my words, my rules!” Madden spat authoritatively, his eyes lit.

Igor went silent, and Madden smiled…that poisonous one.

“You have the full authority at the clinic, and you don’t see me complaining. Push yourself off my business” he said.

“This isn’t over” Igor replied, storming out of the place.

Andrei immediately followed him, and then the crowd started thinning as mobsters started leaving too.

Adeline tried standing again, and this time, she did it successfully, facing Madden who’s like a mountain in front of her.

She couldn’t help but smell his scent in the chilly morning air.

He smells woody like this season..like winter… He smells like snow, and it’s cold.

His eyes levelled her up, and she moved uncomfortably under his scrutiny.

His eyes are like fire, and it’s like he’s staring right into her soul. It’s uncomfortable, but she never for once looked away.

She stared back at him, eyeball to eyeball, and Madden’s brows tightened meaningfully, squeezing her in.

She jerked like she remembered something immediately.

“Thank you…for taking me in” she said, smiling a bit before bowing.

“Properly” his chilly voice said, and she looked back at him quickly.

He’s glaring now, and it’s not friendly.

He has never looked friendly. In fact, his expressions could compete with the devil’s, but this one is scorching.

“I mean…I..

She stopped talking at this stage so she won’t blabber rubbish, then her eyes found Loud and Nikolai in the crowd.

Loud mouthed something to her, and thanks to her sharp instincts, she got it immediately, so she faced Madden fast.

“Thank you, Master” she bowed, and Madden looked down at her through his lids…

“Your training starts tonight” he said, and her eyes widened.

Maledicta’s grip on Benedicta’s hair tightened, her eyes blazing with fury. “What are you doing with my man?” she spat, her voice venomous.

Kaiden, still under the influence of the love spell, stumbled forward, his eyes fixed on Maledicta.

“Don’t hurt my love,” he yelled, trying to release Maledicta’s hand from her grip.

Maledicta’s eyes flicked to Kaiden, and for a moment, Benedicta saw a glimmer of fear in her eyes. But then, Maledicta’s expression hardened, and she turned back to Benedicta.

“What did you do to him?” Maledicta asked, her voice cold and detached.

Benedicta tried to hide the pain she was feeling, her scalp throbbing from Maledicta’s grip.

“Why did you think I did something to him?” she asked, trying to sound nonchalant.

“What if he just doesn’t want you anymore?” She scoffed.

Maledicta’s eyes narrowed, her grip on Benedicta’s hair tightening.

“I know him, and I don’t think he’ll ever want to be with you, even if we’re no longer together,” she said, her voice dripping with contempt.

Since Kaiden kept interfering, Maledicta vanished out of the room with Benedicta. They reappeared in the middle of the school, the empty corridors echoing with their footsteps.

“Today, I’ll make all the students know the kind of person you truly are,” Maledicta said, her eyes blazing with fury.

Benedicta smirked, trying to hide her fear.

“And how are you going to do that?” she asked, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

“Do you think they’ll believe everything that comes out of your mouth?Just a fake cry from from me and you will blame instead”Benedicta added with a smile.

Maledicta’s smile was cold as she stare at Benedicta.

“They will, after they see this,” she said, and the book of black magic that Benedicta had been hiding appeared immediately.

Benedicta’s eyes widened in horror as she stared at the book. She quickly stood up, trying to grab it, but the book vanished and reappeared in another place. She tried to take it again, but the same thing happened again.

Maledicta’s eyes gleamed with triumph. “So, are you going to tell me what you did to him, or should I call the students’ attention?” she asked, her voice dripping with malice.

Benedicta could hear the voices of some students approaching, and she knew she was running out of time.

“Ten seconds to go,” Maledicta muttered, her eyes glinting with coldness.

Benedicta’s fear turned to panic as she realized she was trapped.

“I enchanted him into liking me, but I can reverse it,” she said quickly, her voice trembling with fear.

Maledicta’s expression didn’t change, “Then do it now.” She muttered coldly.

Benedicta quickly closed her eyes and muttered some words under her breath.

“He’ll be asleep now, and by the time he wakes up, he’ll be okay,” she said, her voice shaking with relief.

Maledicta didn’t say anything, and Benedicta couldn’t see her expression. But then, Maledicta turned to leave.

“What about the book?” Benedicta quickly asked.

“It could still be useful” Maledicta saidi and vanished, leaving Benedicta standing alone in the corridor.

Benedicta watched as Kaiden carried Maledicta away, her anger boiling over like a pot left unattended on the stove. She couldn’t even move from the ground, she just sat there, frozen in rage.

A male student approached her, concern etched on his face.

“Do you need some help, senior?” he asked, offering his hand with a smile.

Benedicta’s eyes flashed with anger, but she quickly composed herself, forcing a weak smile onto her face.

“Thank you,” she said, accepting his arm.

As the student helped her up, Benedicta secretly seethed with anger. She couldn’t believe Kaiden had fallen for Maledicta’s tricks so easily. Didn’t he see that Maledicta was just using him?

With the student’s help, Benedicta stormed toward her room, her feet pounding the ground in anger. As she walked, she saw Aka slipping into the bush, and she scoffed.

“She’s been so useless,” Benedicta muttered to herself.

“Just enjoying herself and not focusing on the main reason she was sent here.” She added.

But as Benedicta approached her room, a bright smile suddenly spread across her face. She had an idea.

Epusa was very powerful, and Benedicta knew that if she could just find the Lucan they were looking for, the Queen would grant her any wish she desired. And Benedicta knew exactly what she would wish for.

“I will just take matters into my own hands then,” Benedicta muttered to herself, a sly smile spreading across her face.

She knew it would be easy to spot him If he is a student her. She would find the Lucan, no matter what it took. And when she did, she would make sure that Maledicta paid for what she had done.

Benedicta’s mood wasn’t down anymore. She felt a sense of purpose,All she needed to find was the so-called Lucan, and she would get everything she had ever wished for. Including Kaiden.

As she entered her room, Benedicta’s eyes scanned the space,Her eyes scanning the papers and books scattered across the surface. She would start her search now, and she wouldn’t rest until she found what she was looking for.

Kaiden arrived in his room, still looking worry-sick. He was really afraid, what if the poison was still affecting Maledicta? He gently dropped her on the bed and held her face in his palm.

“Is it hurting so much?” he asked, his voice laced with concern.

Maledicta smiled weakly and shook her head. “No, I’m okay. I’ll just sleep.” She said.

Kaiden’s eyes scanned her face, searching for any signs of distress. He seemed satisfied with what he saw and nodded.

“Okay, have a good rest. I need to visit Benedicta, she wasn’t looking so good.” He said.

Maledicta’s eyes flickered with annoyance, but she quickly masked it with a sleepy expression. “Okay.”

As Kaiden stood up and turned to leave, Maledicta suddenly screamed, making him rush back to her side.

“What’s wrong?” he asked, his voice laced with worry.

Maledicta’s face scrunched up in a cute pout.

“I don’t know, I just don’t feel comfortable.” She said.

Kaiden’s eyes narrowed, unsure of what to do. “Should I take you to the physician?” he asked.

Maledicta shook her head, her pout deepening. “No, let’s just sleep, okay?”She said and push him beside her.

Kaiden hesitated, thinking that what was bothering her must be serious. But Maledicta’s expression was so pitiful that he couldn’t resist.

“Okay,” he said finally, lying beside her on the bed.

Maledicta smiled in satisfaction, snuggling closer to Kaiden. She had never thought she would act petty before, but she just couldn’t help it.

Benedicta’s voice echoed through the training grounds, her anger and shock palpable.

“What are you both doing?” she yelled, her heart beating loudly in her chest.

Maledicta couldn’t bear to look up, her eyes fixed on the ground. She vanished into thin air, leaving Kaiden to face the music alone.

The seniors turned their attention to Kaiden, their eyes blazing with curiosity and shock. Kaiden stood tall, trying to appear confident despite the nervous smile spreading across his face.

“We were just training,” he said, trying to downplay the situation.

“She was teaching me some moves.” He added.

Lilith raised an eyebrow, “Do you think we’re kids? We saw everything, so just tell us the truth.” She said.

Kaiden took a deep breath, his eyes scanning the crowd before meeting Lilith’s gaze.

“She’s my girlfriend, okay?” he said, his voice firm.

The room fell silent, the only sound the collective gasp of the seniors. Thane’s eyes widened in confusion. “What is that?” he asked, his voice laced with innocence.

Kaiden’s smile faltered for a moment before he replied, “We’re together, I mean, as lovers.”

The room erupted into a flurry of gasps and whispers, the seniors exchanging shocked glances. Lilith’s eyes sparkled with excitement.

“You’re not kidding, right?” she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Kaiden shook his head, a smile spreading across his face. “Why would I lie about that?”

Belladonna’s face lit up with a bright smile. “Amazing, I knew something was off. I’m so happy to hear this.” She said.

Thane nodded in agreement. “Me too. She’s finally loosening up.” He said.

Cassius stormed off, his face twisted in anger, shock and hurt, Benedicta followed suit, her eyes blazing with fury.

Kaiden bowed, his face flushing with embarrassment. “I’ll go to my room now.” He said.

“He’s so special.” Lilith said as she watch him go.

“Right. I noticed that the first day I saw him.” Thane said beside her.

Lilith’s expression turned cold, and she scoffed, “I wasn’t talking to you.” She said and storm off.

“I wasn’t talking to you either” Thane yelled after her.

“When are you two going to stop being cat and dog?” Belladonna asked while shaking her head.

“Don’t know. Maybe when she finally gets a real man in her life.”Thane grinned.

Belladonna chuckled, and the two of them left the training grounds together.

As the seniors dispersed, Thane turn to Belladonna,

“I can see you’re a bit sad today. I hope my brother didn’t hurt you?” He said with a bit of concern in his eyes.

Belladonna’s smile faltered for a moment before she replied, “He didn’t.”

Thane’s eyes narrowed, his expression skeptical. But he didn’t push the issue, instead watching as Belladonna walked ahead.

As he retired to his room, Thane couldn’t shake off the feeling that something was off. Belladonna’s smile had seemed forced, and her eyes had looked sad.

“I hope she is okay” he muttered to himself.
