CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
MASHA’S murderer turns out to be no other than LIA, I stood shock and tried to compose myself…
I couldn’t connect the dots, they were all messed up, so many questions were running through my head, like, how did she know about the throne?
Why was she helping me since she was the murderer?
I was dragged out of my thoughts when I heard Tash screamed and made to launch at Lia but Glen held her in his arms, she struggle to free herself from his grip but he was too strong.
Soon she calmed down and started crying, I couldn’t help it, so I joined her in the cry, I have never seen Tash cry since Masha’s death…
I didn’t expect Lia of all people to be Masha’s murderer, wait, does it mean she also killed dad and Glen’s parents? I wonder out loud…
No, she replied, I was just taking revenge for my father.
What did we do to ur father? I asked trying to control the anger in me…
Remember that pappy had three sons right? She asked..
What!!! Did you just call my grandfather pappy? I asked her, cos grandpa only allows me, Tasha and Glen to call him that..
Yes, and that’s because, he is also my grandfather, she said calmly staring at me as if trying to read my brain, he had three sons, Matthew ur father, Dave Glen’s father and Joel my father…my jaw dropped.
I remember that Joel was my dad’s long lost brother, so does that mean Lia is my cousin? She continued….
My dad was sent out of the royal house cos he was handicapped.
He was exiled but he managed to sneak back into the village, and there he met Dave, Glen’s father, they had no reason to hate each other so they welcome themselves and started seeing each other but something tragic happened.
They fell in love with the same girl called Lucy and uncle Dave won her heart,the two lovers went back to the castle and got married…

Some days later, my mom who was a seamstress in the village became jealous of Lucy, her twin sister, so she conspired with my dad in order for her to get Dave for herself while my dad gets Lucy back ..
They started falling in love with each other and one thing led to another and I was formed.
So they decided to postpone their plan till I was born.
But when I was born, my mom died and my dad went beserk and turned his anger into that of vegeance.
When I was 4, he went into the palace disguising as a soldier and killed……
