Deciding not to go home, I decided to go back to work
Working will help get some things out of my head
“And could that thing be lily” my conscience said to me
Lily,it could only be lily,lily is the only thing getting into my head
I walked back into the company,there were few workers cause it was closing time already
While my guards stayed outside I walked in and I was about to get into the lift when I heard someone call my name
I turned to find that guy from earlier,the one with lily at the restaurant, what had she call him,kyle yes kyle
The guy still has the effrontery to show his face, even when he knows that I can still rip his eyes out
“I need to talk to you” he said
“You still have the nerve?”
“Yes I do and that is because I know that you are the one in the wrong here” he said
“What I saw justify it all” I said
“That’s it,what you saw!!! You dont know how am related to lily yet you said all those na$ty things to her”he said
” I dont have to know who you are,I only know what kind of Lady lily is”
“A pr©miscuous one right,well let me tell you here and now that lily is not pr©miscuous, neither is she any other thing that is running in that dirty little brain of yours”
“And what is she?tell me”
“She is a kind loving lady who care about her family and child,I am lily brother in law,well let’s just say her future brother in law,the one I love and sleep with is Kate her sister not her” kyle said starring at me
His girlfriend had been lily sister and he had thought that it had been lily,he could still be lying though
“How can I be sure that you aren’t her lover” I said still feeling unsure
Kyle took out an envelope and showed it to me
“This is an invitation card,a wedding” I said
“Read the name on it”
“Kyle temple and Kate Baxter” I said aloud
“Am getting married to Kate in a week and its the arrangement am having planned that was why I.came, meeting lily is through coincidence and I took her with me because she had looked upset and scared,something you did to her” kyle said
“We were only talking” I said feeling guilty
“Well I hope you start talking to her like a normal being now,lily.has been through a lot and she deserves better,let her leave,I will be more willing to take them back home” kyle said
“Not on your life,lily is now my wife and she stays with me, thanks for clearing up the issue,you can go now” I said
“Fine,am taking your word for it but if something happen to lily or Dora,you will….. ”
“I know,I know,no need to threaten me,just go” I said wanting to be alone
“The card?”
“Both lily and I would be there on that day,so there is no need for you to take it back” I said clutching it and walking off
Its the only little hope I have that lily is not really who I thought her to be
Let’s just hope it stays that way for good
I was still walking to my office when my phone rang
I picked it up and it was from my mom
“Maximilian Torres,I want you back at the house this minute” she yelled into the phone
“But why m…” I couldn’t finish because she hanged up the call
Mom sounded angry,anytime she calls me by my full name, she is really angry about something done by me
And I wonder what it is….
Going back to the car,I got in and soon my guards took me back home
I wanted to talk to lily but that would be when we are alone
I walked in to find my mom there starring at me angrily
Dora was sitting beside lily who held her tightly
Did she think that I would do something to harm Dora
Am I that much Of a m©nster,I thought still starring
Suddenly I felt a hard sting on my cheek
I turned to see that it was my mom said who slapped me
“What was that for?”,
” we didn’t raise you up to be a m©nster,we raised you the right way,so why then are you making this poor girl suffer”she said
I knew then and there that lily had told mom about it
“Having your child isn’t a crime,just wanting to have a child of her own she got your sperm injected in her and gave birth,if it hadn’t been for Dora falling sick,we won’t have known of their existence but when finding out you made it a vow to punish her,only hearltless people do such things and I know that I trained you to be compassionate” she said
I didn’t know what to say cause all of it were true
I did everything because I was angry, I never for once thought of lily feelings
If kyle hadn’t made me see reason then I would still have kept hurting her
I stared at her and she had her head down,her face void of any expression
“Have nothing to say right?” My mom yelled at him
“I wouldn’t want him to say anything,I just want to leave with my child” she said finally looking up to stare at me
“But my child…..”
“The only thing that made me put up with max was not to hurt your feeling and also not to hurt his dad feelings but now that you know then it’s best I leave,I will start to pack my luggage” she said standing up
“No,no, you just can’t let her leave,not without trying to make amends” my mind yelled at me
“But she is going and now that my parents have found out there is no point for her to stay ” I said to it
“But you still have one trick up your sleeve,Kate her sister?youve threatened to throw her in jail before why not do it now am sure that she won’t leave” my mind said to me again
Have got to try something,if only that would make her stay then I would use it
I thought as I went after her
“Just leave her alone max” my mom said to me
“No mom,she is my wife and her rightful place is with me” I said and climbed the stairs two at a time
I didn’t notice the smile that appeeard on my mom face before she walked over to hug her…..
