?lily pov?
“Max where are you taking me” I said for the fifth time that day
“Am taking you somewhere” he said again
“At least you can tell me where that somewhere is ” I said wanting to know where he is taking me
“Just relax,am sure that you would love the surprise” he said
“Okay” I said feeling nervous and excited too
I don’t know why but just being around him make me feel good
He has been nice and caring towards me for the past five days now and have been enjoying it,though am still quite wary of him,I hardly let him touch me or kss or do any other thing even though he has made it clear that he wants all that with me
I still dont trust him yet and I can’t help myself cause as each day pass,I find myself liking the new him,the kind other side of him
“We are finally here” he said stopping in front of a restaurant
“Why are we here”
“To meet someone” he said and helped me out of his car with his hand on my waist
“Who?” I said enjoying his close body around me
“There they are” he said and I looked up to see Kate and kyle by a table waving to us
Its been a while since have seen Kate and I miss her a lot
“You see I knew you would like the surprise” he said and I gave him a big smile before whispering at him
“Thank you” and then I went to meet Kate,hugging both her and kyle
We all sat and our lunch was served and while I talked with Kate,max did with kyle
I was quite surprise that max got along with kyle
“So the wedding will take place next tomorrow” kyle said
“Dont worry lily and I will be there” max said holding my hand on the table
“By the way thank you for the hall you booked for us” Kate said to him
“Hall?”I said
” yes,we wanted to have the ceremony done outside but max help us to book a hall”kyle supplied and I stared at Max who gave me an apologetic look
“Am sorry that I did not tell you,I knew you wouldnt like it” he whispered into my ear
“The deed is done now but anyway thanks” I said giving him a smile which he responded to by kssing my lips
It was all so sudden and I didn’t want to at first but I found myself kssing him back
Kate coughing brought us both to reality,reluctantly we pulled apart and I felt my heart beating so fast
“I need to go to the ladies” I said standing and Kate also followed suit
I got into the ladies and took control of my heart
“Good right?” Kate said
“Breathtaking” I said breathlessly
“Was the kss that good”
“It got my heart beating so fast and that was why I came into the ladies”
“Are you falling for max” she said
“Of course not,why say that?”
“Because of the way he behaves around you, is he trying to win you over” she said
“Yes he is but am not making it easy for him”
“Look I dont want you to get hurt,so I would advice you to take things with him one step at a time” she said
“That’s what am doing”
“But thats not what am seeing ,your in love with him right?” She said
“Of course not” I said
“I just hope that you know what you are doing” she said and I nodded gently
Just then a lady walked in on her phone
“You should have seen the two of them kssing”
“I know right?he had called her a goldigger before and now he is the one kssing her”
“Am sure ,max Torres is here with his gold digging wife”she said and laugh really hard
” yes I wonder what fashionista Brenda would do about this”
“Why don’t we spread the news to the press, its real money if you dont know”
“I can already imagine the headline max Torres and his gold digging wife” she said and laugh again
And through saying all this,she had her back turned to us
Kate starred at me and quickly she went over to the lady pulling her phone from her,throwing it on the floor and stepping on it
“Hey are you crazy?” She said
“You are the crazy one,how dare you call my sister a goldigger ” Kate said pushing the lady To the wall ready to beat the hell out her
“No Kate please” I begged her and she stared at me before leaving the lady
Kate angrily pushed her out of the way and we both step outside
“You should have just let me puunch that ugly mouth of hers”Kate said
” for what?its the truth anyway,Max calls me a goldigger and hearing it from someone else is not a new thing”I said feeling sad
“All this is happening because of me” Kate said hugging me
“Why do you say that”
“If I hadn’t given you his sperm,you both would never have met and you won’t have to suffer all this embarrassment”she said
” its not your fault,dont blame yourself, if you hadn’t did what you did Dora would never have been in my life and for that alone am so very grateful to you”I said pulling her close
I felt the tears gushing out even though I tried holding it back
“Hey are you okay”
“Just get me my bag please I wanna leave” I said
“Okay,I will go and get it now” she said running off
I began to walk outside,trying to wipe off my tears and not watching I walked into someone
“Am sorry,am sorry” I said starring at the stranger
“Its okay but are you alright” he said holding me still
“Yes I….I am” I said but I felt the tears pouring out and before I could say jack the stranger pulled me into his arms
“Its going to be okay,its going to be okay” he said
“Get your hands off my wife” we both turned on hearing max voice behind us
?max pov?
I was still talking to kyle when suddenly Kate ran in taking lily bag
“Sorry but lily wants to leave and am going with her” she said but I held her
“What happen to lily?”
“Its all because of the thrashy things you said to her in the past, now it’s being carried around and now she has to bear the pain of it alone” Kate said
“What are you saying” I said
“While we were in the ladies,someone was insulting her,calling her a Goldigger,something you use to call her in the past,right now lily is feeling so hurt and she wants to leave already and am leaving with her” Kate said
“Please Kate dont,let me go and give it to her myself, right now its I that need to talk with her” I said
“Your the cause of it ,she wouldn’t want to see you”
“Kate please just let me handle it and talk with her,give me her bag” I said
“Kate let them.try to talk with each other” kyle said to her and she gave the bag to me and immediately I went in search of her
I found her in the arms of a guy, he was comforting her,something that should have been done by me
I felt so jealous that I felt like punching the man face
“Get your hands off my wife” i said and immediately the guy released her
She had been crying and it only mean that she had been hurt by what that Lady said
“Oooh sorry, I was just trying to comfort her am James,James fisher” he said stretching his hand
“There is no need to comfort my wife, she is my wife after all and I can do the comforting she needs” I said pulling lily to me
“Am so sorry James and thank you” she said starring at the James
“Its no problem” James said and walk off
“Lily I……”
“Don’t max,please not now” she said as she got into the car
It will take a lot of effort to get lily forgiveness
?james POV?
I walked to the end of the streets smiling
I got into my car and dialled Brenda number
“So has it been done yet” she said
“The first part has been completed, am sure that when max and lily get home, they would surely be a fight between them” I said
“That’s good, exactly what I want”
“Don’t worry you will be congratulating me when this job is done I promise you” I said to her
“Your the best ever James, I know you would surely help me in this” she said
“And you know that its the cash I need, so hurry and pay up my darling sister” I said and cut the call
