“Oh my dearest son, your finally back from your trip”my mom said as she came to hug me
“Yes am back “i said holding her to me
“You look so tired and worn out,youve been working a lot right ?”she said
“Yes have been “i said
Work has been the only main thing that has kept me going,it has been the only thing that had made me forget lily
“Um max the suitcase in the living room ,should i aah……oh your mom is here,gooday madam”brenda said
“Godday”my mother said
Why cant brenda just do things right for once
I thought as i starred at her
“So my love where should i put it”she said again
“Just put it somewhere”i said angrily and she walked off
“Like seriously ,my love?isnt that too early after what youve gone through with lily”my mother said
She knew everything that happened with lily
I told her because i was just so sad and angry
Lily has shattered my heart,betrayed me in the worst way possible
“Brenda is a constant pain in the neck,i always tell her to leave me alone but she keeps on pursuing me”i said
“So are you dating her”
“Of course not,going through one heartbreak with a lady is enough to make me stay away from them all”i said
“If that’s the case then make it clear to brenda”she said giving me a kss before leaving the house

Going through lily betrayal has been enough for me,right now my business and my daughter is my main concern
I went to my room and found her there waiting for me
“Brenda its time you leave”i said
“You werent like this while we were in spain”she said
“That was because i needed a companion and i certainly made it clear to you that they could never be anything between us”
“And i also made a vow that i wont give up on you”
“There can never be anything between us and thats final,now i want you to leave before i get back from work”i said turning to leave
“Until when max?when will you stop thinking about her,she cheated on you with that james guy”she yelled at me
“Dont you ever call lily name again and get out of my house before i get back”i yelled at her before going out of the house into my car where my chauffeur and guards were waiting for me
Lily,her name kept ringing in my head,no matter how i tried to forget her she has always been in my head and my heart
She had promised to wait for two weeks,had told me to come look for her when its time
But me being me missed her so much and i went to seee her before it was two weeks time
I found her with james,james the guy who tried to split us apart and he kissed her
And lily never pushed him away,she didnt even stop him,feeling so angry i drove off
I felt that she might have an explanation for it and i went back to her only to see james car parked in front of her house and there was no doubt that he was inside with her and this didnt stop
For a whole one week ,i got my guard to check up on the house and anytime he came back to give me a report it was to tell me that james was always with her
He had even shown me a picture of lily with james in each other arms
It was then that i knew that she would always be the goldigging bitch she always is
To drown my pain and sorrow,i kept on drinking for threedays,my mom saw me in the mess and tried her best to help me get out of the heartbreak and now here i am back on my feet without feeling anymore heartbreak
I got to work only to see the things i had bought earlier for dora still in the office
“Whats going on mary”i said to my secretary who was coming behind me
“About that sir,when we took the things to where your ex wife live we found no one there but we found this sir”she said giving me a booklet
“Its a house autioning”i said
“Its the house where she lives”she said and immediately i brought out my phone and began to head for lily house

“Do i really have to be here”i said to Kate who was beside me
“You have to be here,the autioning manager wants you here to sign off some documents”
“Cant you just do it”i said as we stood in the house watching the house being auctioned off
“I cant and this house is not for me but for you,so youve got to stay and if you are worried that that no good max would come here then dont worrry anymore,he is so busy with that brenda slut he takes around”kate said
“Oh am sorry,i shouldnt have said that”she said on seeing my face
“Dont worry kate,am not affected in anyway,i stopped caring about max a long time ago”i said
“And where is dora”
“She is with james,he took her out to get somethings”i said staring at the autioning program
Just then i saw a car arrive and max along with his guards walking towards the house
“What is that no good man doing here”kate said
“I have no idea but kate stop him,i dont want to see him,i will try to call james to come pick me up”i said
“But the auction?”
“Just handle it please”i said walking through the back entrance
I dont want to talk to him neither do i want to speak to him
I began to call james number but he wouldn’t speak and i could hear kate and max yelling at each other
Taking a deep breath and holding my stomach i walked in

“Just tell me where she is”i yelled at her
“She is not here,get it into your stupid head that my sister is not here”kate yelled back
“I wont ask again kate,i w…….”
I stopped on seeing her walking in.
“So finally she is out”i said starring at her with all the hatred i felt in my heart
“Lily go,i can take care of this no good man here”kate said
“No kate,leave us alone,i will talk to him”she said starring at me
“Fine then,i will be outside just call for me okay”she yelled
As soon as she went off i began my interrogation
“Why have you sold the house and where is my daughter”i said
“Oh really?you now remembere that you have a child”
“Dont act all corky with me and tell m where my child is”
“She is with james ”
“Like seriously ?you had no time for my child and then you pass her off to your lover to take care of her”i said and i saw the astonished look on her face
“And where did you get such rubbish that james is my lover,did brenda feed that lie to you”she said
“Brenda didnt have to tell me anything,i saw it myself okay,i saw you standing outside this house kssing james”i said
For a while she kept quiet and starred at me
So it has always been the truth,i had felt that she would have an explanation for it but it turn out that she had nothing
“Was that why you never showed up”she said
“Yes that was why,brenda was right ,you are not the right woman for me,your just the goldigging bitch i thought of you”i said
I could see the hurt on her face but i didnt care
Suddenly she began to laugh
“Whats so funny”i said
“Am laughing at your stupidity”she said
“Lily be careful with your words ”
“No max,no,you have no right to demand anything from me okay,youve made me go through hell enough because you didnt bother to ask me why?why i had kissed james”she said
“Why?do you have an explanation for this”i said
“You dont deserve to know,you lost thar chance when you decided to believe the worst of me and stupid me,am such a stupid fool,i kept on waiting,max would come for me,he is only busy i kept on saying that to myself it wasnt until i heard that you were off with brenda enjoying the States as a happy couple that i finally came to my senses”she said as the tears dropped from her eyes
Is she really innocent ,i thought as i stared at her
I had to hear her explanation and i must get it
“Your going to tell me what the reason is and no one leaves or enter this house until you tell me”i said locking the door and moving to her
“Start talking”i yelled angrily and she nodded
“Fine then you want to know what happen right?a week earlier james had come looking for me,wanting my forgiveness,something i gave to him because i wanted him out of my life,i didnt want you coming to find him there”
“But he still kssed you dmnit”i said angrily
“Thats because he took me by surprise,did you stay back to watch what i did to him ,you didn’t right”
“What did you do”
“I sent him away,i made it clear to him that you were the only one i love”she said
“But he kept on coming back,i had put a guard to watch you all the time and he always report back to me telling me that you took him in and that you both are doing God knows what in this house “i said
“Then your guard lied to you,he made you believe a lie which you believed without any problem,i wont deny that james had come looking for me but he was always in his car,i never opened the door for him,i didnt even want to see him but he kept on coming and i kept on shuting the door on his face”she said
Had i been wrong in believing my guard and what i saw
I starred at lily to find her losing control,before she could fall i was at her side holding her unconcious body to myself

“Look what you did to her you creep”i could hear Kate voice but i never opened my eyes
“She fainted okay and its because of the child “i heard max say
How did he know that i was pregnant
“Look this is not a time to fight,lily is our main concern here and if you wouldn’t mind you can leave now max”i heard James said
“Just shut up,you have no right to tell me to leave”max said
“He has got the right to okay,he has always been there for lily when you left,now get out before i call the cops on you”kate yelled
Its time i open my eyes or they would kill each other
As soon as i did,kate and james were beside me holding me
They bombarded me with question and i answered each and everyone of it
“Is the child mine or his”max asked and that question made me feel sad,it only mean that he didnt believe me
“How can you ask that dirty question,of course its your child she is carrying”james said
“Then why didnt you tell me about it “he said
“Thats because i dont want my child having a father like you and believe me when i say this,you would never have found out if i hadnt come back,now please max leave”i said
“Lily weve got to talk……..”
” you heard my sister right ?get out,leave max,leave and never comeback”katesaid
“Please james take me away from here,please”i begged holding his hand and unknown to me max had heard that last comment before walking off
