“I just need these baby things,wrap it up for me “i said to the store manager
she gave me a look,a dirty look at that,have totally forgotten that this is a neighbourhood where they judge people unthinkingly
And me buying my child stuffs only proved whatever they were thinking about me
I could have leave the neighborhood but i just didnt want to
It had taken james a long time to get a house for us and if i just tell him that i want to move,he would do it and i dont want to owe him more
So i would rather tolerate their insults than to let james find me another place
And my debt with him grows
I was about leaving when i heard their voice

“Nothing but a shameless girl,as if having one child isnt enough,she gets pregnant with another”?
“Back then she was with that business tycoon,what was his name again,max….max torres,she was his wife but it turned out that he got to know her true colour,so he sent her off and now she is going about with some other man and already pregnant with his child”?

Not wanting to hear more of their nonsense i got out of the store heading back to the house

I rounded a bend and suddenly i was pulled roughly by a dirty drunkard
His mouth reeked and smelled a lot

“Let her go!!!”on hearing his voice i turned to find max there,with two of his guards who came rushing to hold the two men
“And who are you?what right do you have to stop us”the goon said
“Am her husband and i have every right to stop you”he said walking towards them
“Yeah right?i didnt know $luts had husbands to…..”the goon couldnt finish saying it because he punched his face
And when the punched goon tried to fight back he was beaten up by max guard
Through it all i kept quiet but when i saw the goon bl.eeding,i decided to intervene
“Stop it,you will kill him”i said to the guard but no response
“Max stop him”i said walking to him
“He deserves it”he said
“I know he deserves it but let him go,stop mark or he would kill him”i said
“No lily,he had no right to say that to you?he should be dealt with”he said
“And did you have any right,back then when you called me all sort of things ,did you have any right,who should deal with you?cause if you think that you dont deserve this same beating as he then you are wrong ,your the cause of this mess,your the only reason why people call me names and insult me,your the only reason “i said angrily
He starred at me in a remorseful way and with a flick of his hand mark and the other guard stop
“Your right my dearest,i deserve this same beating as he”he said and went to lift the beated goon up
“You guys shouldnt meddle until i say so”he said starring at his guards and also at me
What is he up to,i thought starring at him
“Hit me,you want to get back at me for making my guard beat you then this is your chance,hit me”max said to the goons who took the opportunity to beat max up
“Stop them”i yelled at his guards who stood starring
“The boss is one hundred percent good in his fighting skills and if he chose not to fight back then that only means that we shouldn’t interfere”mark said
I starred at max and saw that he was already coughing out bl©©d and those men kept on hitting him
I found myself running towards them pushing them off of him
“Let him be”i said bending down beside him
“You fool how can you let them do this to you”i yelled at him
“Its the least i deserve my dearest,its the least”he said and lost conciousness

I woke up to feel sore and aching all over
I never knew getting beaten up could cause you so much pain
A pain i deserved a lot,lily was right ,i was the cause of it all and i deserved worse from them
For a week i tried searching for lily wherabout,kate never told me where she went to ,even when i kept on begging
I hired five investigators just to help me track her wherabout and when they did spotted her here,i came quickly and while searching for her house i saw her going on the streets
I wanted to go to her but i stopped myself and got out of the car while i walked gently behind her
I heard the comments the old lady made at the supermarket,i knew she had heard all of it and i felt so very guilty for it
And when i saw those men bullying her,i got so angry
And now here i am in an unknown room feeling sore all over
“Daddy”on hearing dora voice,i sat up and welcome her embrace
“My angel”i said holding her closely
I stared at the lady and also the little girl with her
“Daddy thats lisa and aunt milly,aunt milly is mommy new friend and lisa who is her daughter is my new friend”dora introduced us
“Nice meeting you”i said to new comers
While dora and lisa ran outside to play,i looked around for lily
“She is in the kitchen”milly said
“Your looking for lily right ,she is there cooking ,i will stay outside with the kids and your guard while you have the house freely to yourselves”she said giving me a smile before walking off
I stood up and went to the kitchen,there she was standing by the counter cooking something
She looked so beautiful ,i couldnt stop starring at her
She touched a pot and it burnt her and quickly i was in the room holding her hand
“Are you okay”i said and she just kept starring at me
“Your not suppose to be up”she said before pulling her hand from mine
“I had to talk to you”i said
“Let me finsh with this and i will come talk to you”she said not even giving me a glance
“Lily we have got to talk”i said moving to her
“About what exactly,what have we got to talk about”she said
“About us”
“We both know that there is no us”she said
“Lily i……am sorry,i judged you without thinking and i made you suffer for what you didnt do”i said
“There is no point talking about it max,its all in the past now”she said walking past me into the living room
“Does that mean that we are over too”i said
“We have been over a long time ago,you chose to believe what you saw rather than believing me”she said
“That was a mistake from my part lily,please forgive me”i said
“Have forgiven you already max,i had even brought you to my house to recover and now that you are up and about,i think its time you leave”i said
“Lily…….”
“Am trying my best to be civilised here max,please leave”she said going to open the door
I went to it and shut the door
And then i drew her to me ” i wont give up on you not now or ever “i said and pulled her to me kssing her in the process
I just wont let her go not now or ever
