Sun Da’s POV
“Hey, come downstairs” I called out, knocking on her door.
” Why?” She asked.
“Let’s eat lunch” I replied.
“You cooked?” She asked.
” Er…no” I replied.
” Then what lunch are we eating?” She asked.
” I will order for food” I replied.
“Then do so, I would come down to get mine when it’s here” she replied.
” Can’t you just come downstairs?” I asked.
” You’re bored?” She asked.
“Kinda” I replied.
Actually I just wanted to see her face, her face has been growing addicting recently.
I don’t think I can live away from her for long.
“You miss me already?” She asked and I scoffed.
” In your dreams” I replied and the door finally opened.
“The last to get to the couch has no lunch!” She yelled and we broke into a race.
I was sure more faster than she was. I ran down the stairs, skipping a lot of steps and in less than a minute, I was on the couch, breathing heavily with a smile.
“Winner!” I yelled out.
“You!… Do you know how to be gentlemanly? You should have let me win, you understand? That’s how to be a gentleman” she scolded, pouting in annoyance.
” Really? A Gentleman? Tell me, have you been lady like for once?” I asked.
” What do you mean?” She asked.
“Just take a look at yourself, you are always getting in fights with me, you’re not gentle at all, you eat a lot and I can’t help but think that you’re crazy sometimes” I replied.
” Crazy? Do I need to show you how crazy people behave?” She asked cracking her knuckles in that daring manner that goes before a fight.
“Mistake…. I made a mistake, I wasn’t referring to you at all… You are….” She jumped on me cutting me off and hit me with the pillow repeatedly.
We both laughed as she kept on hitting me with the pillow.
“You wanna see how a crazy woman is? I’ll show you” she said flexing her non existent muscles.
“Do you want to laugh like crazy?” I asked and without waiting for a reply, I tickled her and she fell back to the couch, laughing.
“Beg me” I requested.
“Ne…never!” She refused amidst laughter and I continued tickling her.
Her stomach grumbled making me stop.
“Hungry lion” I commented and took my phone to order for a take out.
After ordering, I sat on the couch and Seo Jun sat, just beside me in silence.
“Can….” We both started and kept quiet.
” You go first” she urged.
“About Dave, do you… Do you still like him?” I asked staring into her eyes searching for a genuine answer.
“No! How do you expect me to like someone who almost… Almost raped me! That’s absurd! Actually I think I was just stupid and infatuated, that can’t be called love, I was just stupid” she said and I breathed out in relief.
“Promise me you would never believe him or trust him, promise me you would never let him hurt you” I requested.
” Why are you suddenly acting like a big brother?” She asked jokingly but I really wasn’t in for jokes.
” Just please promise me” I requested.
“Okay! I promise you that I will never ever let Dave into my life again” she promised and I suddenly pulled her into a hug.
She wiggled trying to get free from the hug but I held her tightly in place.
“Thank you” I mumbled and slowly let go of her.
” You wanted to ask me a question too” I reminded her.
” Yeah, I was thinking… Do you… Do you want us to break to… Do you still want us to break this marriage after a while?” She asked and my face froze.
I definitely do not want that. I don’t think I can ever be as happy with any other person in a relationship.
“What about you? Do you want us to break the marriage?” I asked staring deep into her eyes.
” I… It… it’s all your choice” she replied.
” My decision doesn’t count” she mumbled, staring at the floor.
” Marriage issues is not something that can be decided by just one person. And in this, your decision matters more” I replied.
” If it really does matter, then I don’t think I want to…” I gulped as I stared at her waiting for her to continue.
“I don’t think I want us to break the marriage” she said and I felt my heart do a triple flip.
I broke into smiles, grinning from ear to ear.
“What about you?” She asked.
“Actually Seo Jun, I think I like….” I closed my eyes for a moment, breathed in and out and then opened my eyes.
I held her hands, caressing them gently.
“I think I like….” My words were cut off by the ringing of the door bell.
“That must be the delivery, it’s so fast. Perfect for quenching my hunger” Seo Jun said, rushing to the door excitedly already.
Why couldn’t the delivery man come a bit later? I almost told her about how I feel, just 10 secs more and I would have told her.
