Episode 47

Sun Da’s POV

“You are pretty dumb” brother shook his head and took his seat.

“Get me a bottle of wine” he requested and I walked slowly to get it.

“Here you go” I said, stretching it towards him.

” I am such a fool, how could I think she was a gold digger? I gave her a blank cheque and she threw it back at me!” I scolded myself.

” Now, I see that you are really a big fool, which gold digger in the world would refuse a blank cheque?” Brother asked.

” No! This won’t do! I have to go and see her, I have to apologise for not believing and trusting her” I said and grabbed my car keys.

” That is not going to be an easy task!” Brother screamed after me but I ignored his discouragement which was perhaps the truth and got into my car, zooming off.

I got to the street that I knew very well that she lived but I could no longer recognize her house.

I had no idea where she lived anymore after all I had only been there once and I had never put it to mind since I was there as just a random client.

I alighted from my car and looked around the cluster of small houses and apartments.

I sighed and walked to the beginning of the street. I have no option but to knock on each door.

“Hello, please do you know of Seo Jun?” I asked repeatedly at different doors but it was a negative response.

Seo Jun really had no friends, no one in her street could even say a word about her.

“Hello” I knocked on the door but there was no response at all.

“Seo Jun?” I called but there was still no response.

Perhaps the occupant is not around. I wrote the house number on my jotter as a reminder to knock later on.

I went on and on till I got to the last house and it was still the same result. No one knew Seo Jun in particular.

I went back to knocking on the door whose occupants were not around earlier and there was this particular one that I felt a connection to.

I felt like I had been there before, I felt like something was pulling me to the house and it looked pretty familiar so I concluded, this must the Septic Jun’s house.

“Seo Jun! Seo Jun!!” I called but there was still no response.

I banged on the door but there was still silence.

“Seo Jun, I am sorry. I swear it wasn’t my intention!” I yelled, still banging at the door and I heard silent sobs.

“Seo Jun, please. I know it is all my fault and I am to blame for not trusting you but I promise, I will always trust you from now on!” I promised.

” Go away! Let me be!” She yelled out.

“Please Seo Jun” I pleaded but she uttered no more word.

I sat in front of her door and cuddled up my knees, it was sure going to be a rainy evening.

The evening breeze blew through my hair, colder than usual and I shivered, with Goosebumps.

I know she is going to come out for me soon.

Two hours later
The rain had begun and I could do nothing but cuddle up my knees even more.

My car had been parked too far away, I was sure to catch a cold.

“Seo Jun” I called.

“Go home!! Let this gold digger be!!” She screamed.

” Seo Jun, it’s all my fault. You are not a gold digger, you were never one. This is all Belinda’s doing” I replied.

” I don’t want to listen to you. Go and meet your Belinda that you believe so much!!” She screamed.

” Then I won’t leave here” I said adamantly and allowed the rain to fall on me freely, not like I could stop it anyways.

Few minutes later, I was shivering already from the cold but I was determined not to leave.
