THE FIGHT FOR EBUKA
Episode 15
Ebuka could not sleep. He is nervous. He knows and is very convinced that Tonia is his wife. How to start the conversation is what he hasn’t been able to figure out.
-Tonia is a very sensitive person. I don’t want to scare her away. What do i do? Holyghost help me. Help me present this issue in a more matured way to this baby of mine. So she won’t misunderstand it.
Bro Ebuka prayed all through the night. The next morning, Bro divine called him.
-my pastor,,good morning sir, and congratulations once again.
-thank you my brother.
-sir, please can you come to tasty foods by 2 today? I really want us to discuss something.
-ok. Tasty foods, the one after the round about right?
-yes sir
-ok. I will be there.
At about two o’clock, Pastor Ebuka was already there. Divine came out to receive him. It was a surprise. All the youths organized a send forth party for him. He was wowed.
There was eating drinking and merrying.
There were testimonies from almost all the youths how transformation both spiritual and physical took place in their lives after Ebuka emerged youth leader. Alot testified to living a complete Christian life, possessing the power over sin and being successful in their academics, businesses and all round life.
The youths showered him with gifts of clothes, shoes, a whole lot of gifts and prayed that God who has appointed him shepherd of over his flock, will continue to keep him.
Brother success prayed that the Lord will give him a wife who will help him in this great work.
After the merrying and eating and drinking, Pastor Ebuka, Bro divine and sister Tonia were the last people standing. As they sat, pastor Ebuka said to them…
-concerning bro success’s prayer about a wife, God has answered it o. Infact, he answered it before i came to this parish but alot was going on and i didn’t want to be distracted but now, i think it is time i did the needful.
-wooooow, hahaha, bro divine replied, i am overjoyed. Who is this favoured sister, She should be from the headquarters right?
-wooow, congratulations sir, Tonia replied. We can’t wait to see your wedding take place. Believe me sir, this is the youth’s wedding. It will be a blast. Just look at what we were able to put together within the space of just three days. Your wedding will be glorious. I’m telling you.
-Amen to your prayers, Pastor Ebuka replied.emmm, infact, she is sitted right here with us.
Bro divine and sister Tonia started looking around.
-oh my God, (bro divine replied as he kept turning around to see who the lady was). Where is she?
Pastor Ebuka held Tonia’s hands….she was looking at him with her mouth wide open and her hands on her chest. Bro Divine couldn’t believe it.
-Tonia, i knew you were my missing rib, the day the Lord mentioned your name to me. You are the woman God has made for me.
Tonia started crying.
-me? No it can’t be.
-yes it can, pastor Ebuka replied. I will give you time to pray over it.
-Jesus!!!!! I am so excited. Bro Divine replied. So, this is it? Sister Tonia, this is the meaning of that dream you shared with me. This God!!!!
Ebuka was surprised
-really? What dream?
-yes, sister Tonia said to me one evening,in the church that she had a very disturbing dream. She said we came for youth programme and you were sharing bible and olive oil to all the youths but when you got to her, you give her bible, olive oil and a very beautiful purple flower. She said she was surprised. Everybody was looking at the flower. Some were saying, why her, others were saying she doesn’t deserve it. She said a lady from among the youths walked up to her and was dragging the flower with her. It was a heavy fight. She said she won. I told her flower means love. Maybe you are in love with her. She laughed and said, Bro Ebuka that does not have any lady’s time. She said you relate with her on a normal ground no affection whatsoever attached. Wooooow, i fear this God, He is not an author of confusion. Sir, i am so happy for you both. Congratulations . (To sister tonia) ma, you don’t need any prayers again na, just say yes. It has been confirmed.
Sister Tonia and pastor Ebuka laughed.
That night Tonia did not sleep. She went to her mum.
-mummy, please can i have a word with you?
-Are you alright? Is everything ok?
-yes mum. She smiled. Emmm, mum, God honoured me today. My dream came to pass today.(She started crying)
-woow, really? Tell me (she smiled)
-mum, pastor Ebuka…….
-ehen? What did he do?
-Mum, he proposed. He wants to marry me.
She jumped up from her chair.
-Jeeeeessssssuuuuussss igweeeeeeeee!!!!!! Eheeee? Pastor Ebuka, my daughter. Lord i worship you. Father, thank you. For 25years, i prayed this prayer, Tonia my daughter, will not suffer what i suffered in marriage. Lord thank you. Thank you for bringing a truthful, Godfearing, man to my only daughter. (She lay on the floor and started crying) arrgh, so Lord, you decided to honour me, you have crowned me with this great favour. So, my daughter, will not suffer what i suffered. Thank you Lord, Thank you sir.(she stood up) so, what did you say?
-mum, that should have been the first question you would have asked na, before jubilating. I SAID YES.
-Gbam. Sentiments aside. Do you love him? Don’t be shy o. Tell me the truth.
-(with her face looking down she replied) yes mum. I already had the dream. I told you na. He gave me flower in the dream. Some were saying why me, some where saying i don’t deserve it, infact one lady started dragging the flower with me o.
-hmmm, my daughter, prayers o. Don’t relent in your prayers. Satan is not happy atall. This blessing of God, won’t add sorrow to you.
Ebuka called daddy G.O that night.
-daddy, she said yes. She already had the revelation before now. I am so excited.
-congratulations son. It is going to be a glorious union. We have to start making plans to see her people and do the needful. God will not let you down.
That same night, sister Tonia was crying.
-oh Lord, you have crowned me with what i do not deserve. This blessing is making me joyful and sorrowful at the same time. Lord, i have been praying that you perfect my healing. How can i get married like this? How do i tell Ebuka that i have Tubal occlusion. There’s no point going into this. I shouldn’t have said yes in the first place. But, (crying) i love Ebuka. I know he loves me too but………oh God!!!! Help me.
Her phone rang…..EBUKA
-hello
-hello, Tonia, are you ok?
-yes sir, I’m fine.
-you don’t sound fine. Have you being crying?
-I’m fine sir, trust me. I’m fine.
-ok. MY ANGEL. That’s what you are. I just want you to know that i love you from the depths of my heart and you are going to be my wife. This is a period we need to know ourselves better. We must also have in mind that MARRIAGE IS MORE HONOURABLE WITH BED UNDEFILED. We must keep to biblical rules. God will help us.
-Amen. Sir, i will like us to see tomorrow. I have something to tell you.
-go ahead and tell me now. I’m all ears.
-ok. (Crying) i was experiencing severe pain on my lower abdomen, my periods weren’t always regular, doesn’t flow well and most times just spots. I went to the hospital and was diagnosed of TUBAL OCCLUSION .
-ok. And what does that mean?
-my fallopian tubes are blocked. (Crying) i can’t be able to get pregnant. I have growth in my fallopian tube.
-Hahahahahahahaha. Who told you that? The doctor right? But He who created you said, YOU SHOULD BE FRUITFUL, YOU SHOULD MULTIPLY AND YOU SHOULD REPLENISH THE EARTH. Listen to me my Angel, that blocked fallopian tube opened the moment you said YES to me. You will give me children. Boys, girls. We will have as many as we want. Who speaks and it comes to pass when the Lord has not spoken. His word says, THERE SHALL BE NO BARREN IN THE LAND. Your fallopian Tube is NOT BLOCKED you hear me? My Angel, you will bare me children. The devil has been defeated. We shall embark on three days fasting and praying. Don’t mind the devil, he is a LOSER.
