The next day at the agency
*The president is in a tight spot concerning the scarcity of food, the citizens of America has refused to leave the council hall.
Protest has countined to go on and the people are saying the president is doing nothing they* the TV was suddenly switch off by Kiara
Aren’t you guys suppose to be busy? You weren’t hired to watch news. Nina said while Kiara fold her arms on her chest.
I am not surprised that the president is not doing anything, he is not affected anyway. A girl started the conversation
You are right, didn’t you see how his wife was glowing yesterday. Aliya said
He is so cruel, people are dying of hunger everyday. Another girl said
I don’t think so. I said and they all turned their attention to me including Kiara
What did you say? Aliya ask
I don’t think the president doesn’t care about us, things are hard on him too, it’s not easy to be a leader.
He’s trying his best to meets the needs of the people yet those people are acting like ungrateful ba$tard. I said
Are you saying they should not protest, they are showing their feelings, they are reminding him of his duties. Kiara said
Do you think he needs a reminder? Just because he looks okay you don’t think he’s going through so much? The time he should use in finding out solution to the scarcity of food, he is using it to appeal the people, we think we are trying to solve the problem but sadly we are adding to it. I said
What makes you think like that? Who do you think that are to say say what the people are doing is wrong? Kiara inquired walking towards me
I am sure she wants to pick a right right now but I will not give her what she wants.
I am not judging anyone I am just stating my opinion. I said
And you think your opinion matters? She scoff. You are nothing but a cleaner who don’t get to say.
Miss Grace. A guy call standing at the entrance, he looks rich and handsome I am sure I have never seen someone like him.
Y.. yes. I answered
It’s time. He said
Time. I thought then you remembered my lunch date with the first Lady, is it really a date well I don’t care that is what I will call it
Alright. I said putting do the rag in my hand that I was using to clean the table.
I removed the cleaning shirt I was wearing on my gown, I didn’t want to keep get waiting by changing clothes so I just wore the shirt on top of it
I let down my hair which was packed in a ponytail before walking out of their midst but of course Kiara would not let me go.
Where do you think you are going? Who do you expect to finish your job? She asked
I turned around with a smile. You are not the boss of this agency the last time I checked so I don’t answer to you. I said and walked away.

Money is indeed good just a glance at the restaurant and I can imagine what it will look like inside.
“The first lady is waiting” the guy that picked me up said and I nodded.
I took a deep breath before opening the door, I felt a bit cold due to the AC. I have sat in an AC before but this AC is really amazing.
I stared around the restaurant and it was almost empty. I can count the people seated in it from where I am standing.
I stylishly search for the first lady as I stared around and it didn’t take long to find her. I mean it was not even crowded and the people were minding their own business.
Walking towards her, I took my time to stare at the people I walked past. They were celebrities, when I say celebrities I mean the high class one.
“Good afternoon first lady” I greeted with a respectful bow
” Have your seat” she said. She is alone today, I can’t find the lady that was with her the other day.
“What will you like to eat? Take the menu and other something” She said
I took the menu and started going through the food, gosh. I almost choke as I saw the prices of the food, the third one was worth my salary.
‘I can’t eat something this expensive, she should just give me the money. I am not hungry anyway.
The twins will be so happy especially Maria’ I was lost in thought when she suddenly called my name
“Grace” I raised my head to stare at her
“Were you listening?” She asked
“What were you saying?” I answered with a question
” Have you decide what you will like to eat? The waitress is waiting” she furrowed her brow at the girl which I didn’t notice.
” Ummm…. I will have whatever you want” I said with a smile
” We will have lobster frittata” she said and the waitress bow before walking away obviously to get our meal
I was expecting the first lady to speak but to my surprise she brought out her phone and started chatting with someone. I can guess it’s her husband because of the smile on her face.
But does the president really have time to chat with his wife, he is really ro.mantic.
What am I even saying they are the first couple in America so they should be ro.mantic.
“Enjoy your meal” the waitress said after dropping two plates of food and a bottle of wine on the table.
“Eat” she said and I started eating, I didn’t enjoy the food that much maybe it’s because it is expensive and I literally feel like I am eating the money or because the first lady is ki.lling me with this awkward silence.
“Don’t you like the food?” She asked as she sip her wine
” That’s not it” I said she didn’t say anything so I dropped the cutleries and wipe my mouth before asking “why am I here?”
She smiled dropping her cutleries too but to type something on her phone, ‘how rude’ I thought with a slight frown.
“Can you act?” She ask still typing something on her phone
” Yes” I answered with the thought that she wants to give me a job, I have heard rumors in the past that she was once a dancer.
I won’t be surprise if she has an agency and wants to hire me, it will really help me.
“Good, then can you act as the first Lady?” She asked
” Act as the first lady?”I repeated but it sounded like a question
“Yes, you are going to act like me, in my own house” she expanciate but I still didn’t get her.
” First lady” I paused and took a deep breath “I don’t get you” I said
“I am traveling and you know this reporters and their lies, I don’t want them to write useless stuffs saying I am trying to escape during food scarcity.
So I need you to pretend to be me” she explained
I stared at her as if she has gone banana or it’s me who is going crazy, because not once did I think of something like this
“Why me?” Was all I could ask
“Because you have the potentials I need” she answered
” First” she didn’t let me finish as she said “I don’t expect you to give me an answer right away.
I will give you two days to think about it, the advantages of it.
This could change your life” with that she dropped a bundle of cash on the table
” Yours” she said and walked away.
Looking at the money I can say it’s more than 200,000$. I stared at her back view them at the money before resting my back on the chair as a sigh left my mouth.
