At the white house
“How was it?” Blair asked Ariel as she type something on her laptop
“Good, I gave get two days to think about it, I am expecting a positive result” she answered
” Don’t you think you should go for plan B” Blair suggested
” It would be good but I don’t need it, she’s the bread winner of her family, after what I gave her today she will jump at the offer” Ariel said with a smile
” What did you give her?” Blair ask.
“Something she needs” she replied with a smile
“Aunt” Tommy call standing few feet away from them
” What do you want?” Ariel ask
“Is Ethan back?” He ask
Ariel scoff. “Do I look like Ethan babysitter? If you want to know his whereabouts call him” she said
” I just thought you would know since you are his wife” he said
” Tommy come closer” Ariel said and he obeyed.
” You see” she held him by the shoulders “being your brother’s wife is not by will, I was forced to marry him so while I am telling you nicely don’t ever call me his wife, AM I UNDERSTOOD?” She raised her voice as she asked making the boy shiver in fear

Ethan felt really tired as he walked towards his room, he sighed as he massage his neck. He was in a lot of meetings and most of it was not pleasant, the people were blaming him.
Yet, he is still trying his best to resolve the issues. He stopped walking as he heard a sob.
‘ Tommy’ that was the first name that came to his mind. He walked towards the direction of the voice and stopped seeing Tommy hugging his knee to himself.
“Tommy what happened?” He asked as he rushed towards him.
“Ethan” he called as his cry increased
“Stop crying and tell me what happened?” Ethan said
“Aunt Ariel” he said
” What about Ariel? “Ethan asked
“She…. She’s bad, she scolded me for no reason and said… I …. I am as annoying as…. My brother…. She’s bad” he cried hugging Ethan
” Shhhh” Ethan hush him as he pat his back.
After few minutes he was able to put him to sleep, he sent for his nanny and asked her to take him to his room.
Ethan walked into the room angrily and met Ariel smiling as she typed something on her phone.
She raised her head to look at him but acted as if he was invisible.
“Ariel we need to talk” he said obviously angry and Ariel can not deny the fear in her because this is the first time he will be speaking to her like that.
But she is not going to show it so she acted as usual. “What is it?”
“Why did you say those things to Tommy?” He asked
So it’s about his brother, that spoilt brat must have told him everything but it’s not like she cares.
“He asked for it” she replied less concern
“Seriously!” He scoff “he asked for it? That’s all you can say, that poor boy is trying his best to be a good brother in-law to you but all you do is hurt him just like you hurt me…. ”
She cut him short ” I am not hurting you, but you are hurting yourself.
I told you times without number that I am not interested in this godforsaken marriage but you would not listen.
If only you had taken my advice and let me go neither you nor I not even your annoying brother will have to get hurt”
” Why don’t you walk away too? “He asked
” Ohh mine you are just too smart that is exactly what I plan to do, sooner than you expect I will be out of your life…
What am I even saying… You will be out of my life” she said and got down from the bed
” You are so annoying, no wonder your nation is crumbling right in front of you” she said and walked away
What has he done to deserve this? Is God punishing him for his past mistakes, he failed as a president now as a husband.
‘ I wish things would just get better’ he thought as he walked towards the bed.
