Nora tightened her grip on the purse she held as she watched Chidinma placed the basket on the cashier desk.
Chidinma is still defeating me, everyday I come home to my empty bed but she goes home to the man I want. He must be kssing her,hugging her,making her feel special because he is good at that. Who ever said i am winning it all? I might be trending and be the most expensive model but in the real game,Chidinma is really defeating me.
Just then Laura tapped Nora.
“Are we still getting those?”
“Yes,be fast. Annie is on her way” she replied. Annie walked into the resort fee minutes Nora had mentioned her name.
Annie walked in and she wore only a polo.
“Did you wear that from your house, Annie!” Nora asked,surprised.
“I was driving come on..I saw the shoot you did..waow it was hot” Annie commended,looking back at the retreating figure of Chidinma because obviously that was were Nora eyes are fixed on.
“Do you know her?” She asked.
“No way! I do not associate with lowlifes”
“You could have just replied with no instead of using the lowlife word. Meanwhile,she kind of look familiar”
“Exactly” Laura and Shirley chipped in.
“I thought as much,she looks like the lady trending recently on rema’s Instagram…” Annie said.
“She can never be the one” Nora scoffed.
“no no no,they look alike” Shirley asked.
“How can they look alike when he didn’t even reveal her face on his Instagram” Nora shut them up,angrily.
“Well,I can just meet with rema and tell him to show me the full picture” Annie shrugged, since she is a governor’s daughter,it’s pretty easy for her to meet with celebrities.
“Annie you’re crazy” Laura chuckled.
“You can say that again” Annie laughed. They walked out in group.

“Babe,you took long,I said 20mins” Rema smiled out dimples,he beeped the car open for her to enter.
“Yeah,I said 20min” Chidinma rolled her eyeballs as she fasten her seat belt.
“I just checked the place out and it’s similar to my fashion diary resort. Honey when am I going to launch it? Am tired of sitting at home” she furrowed her eyebrows,waiting for his reply.
Rema kssed her.
“What if??
“I did the windows”.
He replied,she rolled her eyeballs.
“Soon you will launch it” he replied.
“Soon! soon!! soon!!! that’s what you always say. Everything is set,why can’t I launch it tomorrow” she pouted.
Rema drove out. “what if you launch it tomorrow and your dad asks you where you got such huge money to build a fashion resort,what will be your reply?”
“(sighs) forget about it,I will launch it once I tell him about you” Chidinma replied,tiredly.
“I thought you are taking talent hunt seriously?” He asks.
“Ohh yeah,I was nominated for queens peagant. I love it”
“But you just said you are tired of staying at home”
“To be sincere am just going there for fun. Just that I get lucky most times and listen,you can’t talk to me anyhow. Do you even know how much I made in just last two weeks?” She asked,playfully with pride in her voice.
“How much?” Rema chuckled, concentrating fully on the road.
“Half a million in just two weeks” she whispered carelessly.
“I will take you out tomorrow,bills on me” she added.
“I wanted to tell you something” Rema cuts in. He felt the urge to tell her about the incident between him and her dad. Even though the old man pushed him into doing it.
“About what?
“Your dad” he answered,lowly but she could still hear him.
“You met with him?” She asked,confused.
“No” he took his lips in cutely,he just hope she won’t get mad at him.
“Well…he called your phone earlier!” He started.
“Don’t tell me you picked?”
“I did”
“And what happened…
“I hang up on him” he replied,her expression changed immediately.
“You hang up on him?”
“Well…am sorry,he pushed me to do it” he replied, truthfully.
“Are you crazy?” She asked. She finally understood the message Nonso sent to her. Her father was hurt he hang up on him.
“I didn’t mean to do that”
“No matter what,he is still my dad and not a play thing. I can never do that to your mom”
Rema stared at her,he quickly divert his eyes to the road. He already knew she will see it that way.” I’m sorry,I can call him back to apologize if you want but I didn’t do it intentionally,he pushed me” he explained calmly.
“You don’t need to call him back okay” Chidinma replied,still angry.
There was silence. No one talked to each other till rema drove to the airport.
“Are you coming or you want to stay in the car?” He finally spoke.
“I am not going with you”
“I already said am sorry”
“Am still not going with you”
“Wait do you think I purposely hang up him? You didn’t even asked what he said to me that made me do that angrily”
“What did he say to you?”
She asked,Rema looked away.
“Who is Philip?” He asked.
Chidinma widened her eyes,rema faced her when she didn’t say anything..
“He is your—
“He is not my….you’re mine”
“You’re too dramatic,I won’t talk much with you okay” rema said and dropped the other mask in case she wants to come.
“You’re also too dramatic. I’m coming anyways” Chidinma replied and stepped out of the car,she rush after him immediately.
“I know you didn’t do it intentionally” she rolled her eyes and intertwined their hands.
She felt another fresh breath as soon as they go in,she didn’t read meanings to the eyes over them until they stood by the counter and rema wore his s face cap to the back. Rumors brewed everywhere, they were all pointing hands at Rema.

Chidinma heard from different angles. They were tapping each other from every side and pointing at him. No wonder he doesn’t go out too much.
Her ears almost got blocked from camera clicks.

? My crush is holding a female hand,same rings on their fingers.
Everyone started snapping pictures Chidinma removed her hand carefully,rema held her back and used his other free hand to carry her bag.
They snapped their hands and soon the pictures filled the net.

Rema scoffed when he heard them, he collected what he came to do at the airport and they left,camera clicks followed them till they got to the car.
The silence got awkward between them.
Chidinma glanced at him and finally spoke.
“So when will you be back if you travel tomorrow?”
“Next week or so” he replied.
“Too far” she said,missing him already.
“You won’t go to Philip right?” He joked.
“You’re crazy!” She replied.
“I know”
The drive was silent again,maybe because they are missing each other.
“Will you miss me?” Chidinma asked.
“not at all” he replied the opposite.
“Why?”
“Cos it’s just one week”
“Liar”.
Chidinma didn’t know how long the drive was,she only glance up as soon as he stopped the car and she found out they were at her gate. He beeped the car open for her.
“goodbye” she said and made an attempt to step down but not so fast as he held her back.
“Can I get a kss?
“No,cos you said you don’t miss me” but I will kss you anyways because I will miss you” she rolled her eyeballs and peck him.
“You won’t go to Philip right?” Rema asked again,this time he was serious. Chidinma knew he wasn’t joking.
“Yes or no?” He asked.
She nodded negatively.
“Use your tongue”
“No” she replied.
“You won’t break up with me no matter what right?” He asked.
“No,are you nuts” she replied and peck him again.
“Don’t hurt me in anyway okay?.
“You look like a bushbaby when talking like that” chidinma laughed.
“Safe trip tomorrow” she added and stepped out.
She didn’t have to knock much,the gateman opened the gate for her. She waved at rema’s car before entering but rema’s car didn’t even move.

The main door wasn’t locked,it made her relief. She didn’t bother turning on the lights,she took the stairs but not so fast as the light came on.
She wasn’t surprised,she was kinda expecting it.
She turned and it was her Dad,his eyes was not smiling at all.
“By this time!” He nagged.
“I’m sorry, Dad” she replied.
“You stood Philip up again,will you say you are sorry again?” He asked.
She shook her head,she will just tell him about Rema now.
“You don’t need to explain it,I know about it and it’s not going to work” Mr hampson arched his brows as he showed her a magazine.
Reporting LIVE; Rema Jewel came out with his girlfriend.
“You are the one in the magazine, you don’t need to lie to my face” he added.
“But dad,he is good person-
“A good person,do you even know his family killed “Darren” your allerged brother”
Chidinma stiffened,she looked as pale as a ghost.
“His family killed him” Mr hampson explained everything to her.
“No no dad,you must be mistaken queen chiamaka is a good person she is not among them…I know her very well. If the royal family did killed Darren,I am sure queen chiamaka is not part of their plan” Chidinma shook her head,she was almost in tears.
“Either she is part or not,the fact still remains that she is a royal blood and royalty also runs in rema’s blood…and you must break ties with him today,now” Mrs Hampson said angrily with deep hatred.
“Except you don’t want me as your father anymore” he added.
” It’s enough already,you can’t put so much pressure on her just because of the pasts” Mrs Uyah cuts in.
“You don’t care about Daren! They killed our first fruit and you’re siding them”
“At least we have another son” Mrs Uyah hugged Nonso.
Chidinma sniffed.
“You need to make choices now, either you choose your rema or you choose me” Mr hampson added.
“I–” she couldn’t complete her statement,she felt a funny movement in her bowel. The force of the vomit came unexpected. She ran upstairs.
Meanwhile,they never knew Rema was at the door listening all the while.
