Chidinma’s heart beat wildly against her chest,she didn’t know what to think or expect in this tight situation.
She looked at Olive for help but her face was blank as well.
Their maid, Lola knocked at the door again.
“Madam,it’s really urgent”
“I can’t come downstairs,am not feeling well Lola” she swallowed into nothing. Just now,she looked like a scardy cat.
Hmp.
She quickly laid on the bed as soon as the door to her room crick open, it was Lola.
Chidinma shut her eyes tight and didn’t bother to take a look.
Of course,it was Lola.
Well,she don’t want to talk to her. She don’t want to look at her.
Lola curtized,she understands the situation but she finds it difficult to believe. She had been working with the Uyah’s for close to two months and she never knew Chidinma and her celebrity crush had a thing…. It was so surprising,she still couldn’t believe because Chidinma doesn’t brag at all,if it were to be other Ladies,she knew how they will act. Even her, Lola can never be this humble if she have someone like Rema in her life.
She curtized again. “Madam,it’s very urgent”
Chidinma faked. “Lola,I’m very tired as you can see. Just tell dadie am still sleeping”
Lola smiled.
“And you too ma’am,sir wants you downstairs. The both of you,he wants you”
“I beg to take my leave”
Olive shook her head once Lola was out.
“I don’t think he is calling you about yesterday’s incident. It might be for something else since he wants me to come also”

Chidinma still shut her eyes and tried to act like she was fast asleep and that made olive laughed out aloud.
“Is it funny?” Chidinma was forced to open her eyes.
“Not funny but I can’t help it” “have never seen you so scared before, turns out you can be scared of dad. If you don’t want to go see him,I will go” olive stated,still laughing.
“I’m not scared,alright” Chidinma defended,she threw her pillow at her.
“You think am scared,in your dreams” she moved out of bed. She adjusted the purple nightwear she wore and retied the belt.
“You’re no scared. I doubt”
Olive snickered and grab hold of the pre.gnancy test kit.
Chidinma didn’t see her,she slip her feet into a teddy foam room slippers.
Sensing she might turn around any moment, olive hide the kit.
“You should walk at the front” Chidinma pushed olive forward.
“Well,what if I show daddie this?” Olive teased.
Chidinma’s face went black with fear. Olive love teasing her unconditionally.
“Beg me now”
“Tell me you’re scared”
“Hmp. The two lines are still showing and I will be like “dad, Chidinma is pre.gnant for the city’s sweetheart”
Chidinma’s face went more pale, her breathing more erratic with what olive was doing to her.
“Drop it okay,that joke is too expensive”
“Say please” Chidinma read her lips
“Hmm, olive am not playing with you oo” Chidinma yelled,sternly.
“Oh my god,am scared” olive shivered playfully,dangling the kit in the air..
They chased after each other in the wide room.
“Olive!!!”
“Ohh you think I can’t tell on you, aaahhhh”
“I will so kill you if I get hold of you”
“Oh my god,catch me first”
Olive chuckled,well she loves getting her angry.
“Fine please,am scared” Chidinma replied truthfully,the rise and fall of her chest was steady.
“Fine before you kill yourself” olive snickered and throw the kit to her. Chidinma grabbed it immediately and locked it in her drawer.
“Don’t play with me like this again,I don’t like it” Chidinma told her,almost close to tears..

“You should know I can’t do that,just a random prank” olive hugged her from behind,wow she was really crying.
“Fine”
They walked downstairs. Everywhere was so dim. Chidinma wondered if the lights off was also intentional.
“Must be a surprise” olive thought.
“Oh God,what if he…he actually hired men to grab me from behind and throw me in a car. He might want to take me to Philip using this trick” Chidinma also thought inwardly. She counted her steps as she walks and she stupidly raised her elbow in defense.

Chidinma could feel the scent of her fathers perfume as the light came up.
The sight before her took her breath away. It looks like a party was going on.
So many gifts pack were all over the living room.
Nonso was busy unwrapping them.
Or is this a bribe before forcefully taken to Philip.
“Surprise!!!! Mr and Mrs Hampson cheered happily.
“Oh…my…mom,dadie I love you” olive hugged them one after the other,she kissed the sides of Mrs Uyah’s cheeks.
Chidinma just smiled,still not moving from her still position.
“Come on, darling” her father gestured and that was when she moved.
“Thank you,dad” she uttered, secretly praying all this didn’t come from Philip’s family.
Or did her dad got a huge contract deal recently? Cos that’s the only time he gets her and Nonso gifts.
“Oh boy,that’s not yours” he collected the box from Nonso before he could open it. He passed it to Olive.
“Oh my god,thank you so much! I love you…I love you…..” Olive squeaked,she felt so loved. It’s actually her first time to receive a surprise.
She felt like the world was on her feet unlike Chidinma who stood motionlessly,staring as if nothing was happening or should I say the gifts didn’t move her. Rema had treated her to a lot of surprise,he had spoilt her rotten with money and gifts. And she had a lot of gifts while growing up.
Even when she was growing has a child,her parents gives her gifts.
“Here is yours”
Chidinma smiled lightly. She quietly opened the box and noticed a little wrapped item on the side.
Pure diamond earring was in the case,he must have got it for her during his last travel.
She picked the little wrapped item up and wondered what it was.
Huh?
Her face crinkled up in surprise as she stared at it. She felt it and heard a little jingling sound. Olive got the same as well.
“Lola,here is yours” Mr Hampson smiled broadly as he gave their maid a percel as well.
“Thank you sir”
“You’re wlc” he replied.
“Honey,you changed Nonso’s phone again. But you just got one for him not quiet long” Mrs Uyah complained.
“Ohh that one had a scratch, It’s ugly already” Mr Hampson replied.
“Ugly!. You’re wasting money”
“Come on”
“If you want to know what is in the little wrapped item,you can check outside”
Olive rushed outside excitedly. Chidinma suddenly felt lazy to go downstairs so she used the balcony instead.
Okay now,I can see outside.
Then what?
She looked around from the balcony,it was empty and quiet.
Then she decided to open the wrapped item.
And when she did,it was….
What?.
A car key.
She pressed the button on the remote control and heard a car beep immediately with a flash following simultaneously.
It came from the pool side.
Chidinma quickly ran out of the balcony to the direction of the sound and light and to her greatest surprise,she found a flashy purple shade of 2020 Bugatti Veyron La Voiture.
What????
Her eyes dilated as her lips dropped open in shock.
Even if she can’t read,she knew how to write her name and she saw it boldly on the car.
She felt so surprised.
She pressed the button on the remote control again and the car beeped.
Jeezzz it’s real.
She is in possessions of the keys.
It’s not even a fairly used car,it is brand new and the latest model. If she could calculate well,the car should cost up to fifteen to sixteen million naira.
It was so beautiful,it sparkled all rounder.
It was her best colour…purple.
What’s going on?
She really want to wake up from this dream.
Her dad’s voice came up,she realized it wasn’t a dream.
“You like it?” His eyes gleamed in the dawn. She felt the blood running through her veins as he stared into her father’s eyes.
She was so shocked and confused-
Skyrocketed.
“Yeah,I like it” Olive answered from the other end.
Chidinma turned and saw another shade of her car brand.
Wait!!!!! He bought for Olive as well.
Holly crap!

“I love you Dad…I love you Dad!!!” Olive screamed,hugging the white car to herself.
“Happy children day,honey. In my eyes you are always a baby,my baby just like I took you in my arms when you were born” Mr Hampson said mildly and pecked her cheeks lightly.
Chidinma looked at the purple car in her front and tears splashed out from her eyes.
“Dad,I love you. You are the best, i might be too shy to praise you sweetly but even the gods knows I pray for you secretly” she replied.
“Maybe your prayers worked cos I can now afford all what you desired as a kid,tell me if you want anything okay” he told her.
A light gasp escaped chidinma’s lips,she moved in perfectly into her father’s arm.
Maybe she should just tell him she is pre.gnant now….oh god,he will be so disappointed at her..
“Is god really testing me by putting me in such a tight corner?” She thought.
“Oh God,dad this is really cheating” Nonso cried out.
“Nothing is wrong with the car your driver carries you to school with” Mr Hampson answered him.
“Dad,I….I…….want to tell you something” chidinma’s trembled voice finally spoke.
“Yes,am all ears honey”
“Am….Am…..” She stammered.
He will be so mad at her,despite how he treats her. What did she use to pay him back ?
