Chidinma shook her head once and let the thought slides off her, she shouldn’t say it to him now. It will only bring more troubles for her
“You wanna say something?” He asks.
“Yeah. Am…..am happy. I love the car,it’s the best surprise you have ever given me” she stated,truthfully.
Mr hampson was glad she loved it.
“Time to test my new ride,officially” Chidinma pressed the button on the control and the car beeped loudly with lights blinking simultaneously.
In no time,she got into the car. Her hand were shaky as she she insert the car key. Olive taught her how to drive,although she is still a leaner.
Her lips cornered in a smile as she drove the new car round the compound,olive tested hers as well but wouldn’t stop screaming happily.
After a ride round the compound,she stopped hers and went inside. The celebration still continues in the living room since her father will be traveling tomorrow or so.
She couldn’t join the celebration,she has to prepare for work.
She set her bath and relaxed herself in the warm water,her hand won’t stop caressing her flat Tommy.
Her happiness was all over the world,she was actually prepared for it and she didn’t regret having a mini rema in her.
“Yes,am prepared. Well prepared” she told herself as she tied the towel around herself. She knot it well and took in her appearance on the mirror. There was no sign of tiredness in her face,she shows no sign of pregnancy physically. Her skin radiated the more.
The only sign is her cravings,her sudden craving for foods at it come in a very wrong timing. It would have been better if she craves for common foods but no,she craves for expensive and rare foods.
She wore her bathrobe on the towel and walked out to rack her closet.
She pulled out the first thing her hand touched, a nude coloured tong. While getting dressed, she played the recorder so as to revise her manuscript which nonso ready help translate to audio.
“10more minutes and am done” she stated, thinking it’s olive that entered her room.
She bent to fix her sneaker leave…

She grabbed a hairy cardigan to warm herself in case she gets cold after which she settled in front of her oval mirror to apply hair treatment while using her other free hand to pack her manuscript,most importantly her jewelry designing catalogues.
“You really love Rema?” She heard from behind.
“Yeah. Olive are you really asking me this again?”
“Ohh well,quick question,why do you like him do much?”
Chidinma shrugged. “Why do I like Rema? Same reason every other girls fall in love”.
“Reasons? Which reasons?”
“Some girls fall in love because the guy is handsome,some can fall in love because of the way he dresses,some because he smells good,some because he speaks fluently, some because he spends so much on them,some because of his intelligence….. But olive why are you suddenly asking me this again?” She shrugged as she applied her lipgloss, she styled her frontals.
“Ohh and you love him for what exactly? The reasons you stated earlier?”
Chidinma shook her head once.”Maybe. But I love him for so many reasons. He is educative, he is enterprising and he is ambitious. He is honest,he keeps to his words”
“I know he cherish you,that’s why I let go of the pasts”
Hold on! That wasn’t Olive’s voice.
I wasn’t talking to olive all through.
She turned immediately and was surprised to see her mother.
“Am sorry mother” she stated she she spotted a new light in her eyes.
“You don’t need to be sorry,am dealing with Jewel not Rema and besides I still have Nonso”.
“Here,I brought this for you. You can’t go to work without taking anything” Mrs Uyah placed the tray containing toast bread and a glass of milk in her presence.
Chidinma’s expression crankled, the toast smells to her and the urge to puke surge through her. What she felt like eating that early morning was hot and spicy pizza and a milky smoothie,not just ordinary milk.
Mrs Uyah observed her expression. “You don’t want it”
“I want it” dinma forced out a smile and took a bite forcefully,she took a bite and swallowed it tightly. She will really vomit if she continues.
“You like eating toast bread,what now?”
“I don’t like it anymore. I need to go now,am running late….I will call Lola to pack the meal. Bye,mom” she rushed words and made an attempt to rush out but not so fast as her next words stopped her.
“You don’t like eating it anymore or you are pre.gnant. You should play your cards well so you won’t lose on both sides”
“Am playing my cards well,thank you for reminding me again”
“I trust you”
“Bye”……..

“You’re ready” olive asked,still snapping pictures.
“Yeah,I need to get somewhere. I will meet you there” Chidinma replied,she got into her car.
“You are sure you can drive by yourself for now? Don’t get into an accident”
“I won’t,madam” she replied, she drove out slowly.
The feeling was good,being the owner of a brand new car.
Minutes later…..
She found a parking space in the hospital and in no time she met with the nurse on duty.
The nurse led her to the doctors office.
She explained the reason she came, she wants to know how long she had been pregnant.
The doctor examined her in the laboratory, he rubbed a jellylike substance on her flat Tommy when he was done with all that, she stood from the bed and went to wait for him in his office. He joined her minutes later with some neat paper which she saw the machine printed earlier.
“You’re three weeks pre.gnant, here”.
Chidinma collected the printed result. She didn’t bother looking into it,she folded it and kept it in her bag.
“Thank you doctor”.
“You’re welcome,the nurse will take you to the pharmacy section. Give her this”
“Ohh thank you. One more question doctor. When will my bump start showing?”
“It looks like you’re so eager. Your bump may starts showing after three to four months but I think yours might not show much. Maybe 5months cos physically,you are not showing any sign of pregnancy…..it’s only minimal cravings. We humans body are not the same… I guess you notice your boobs are full and your areola becomes more prominent?” He asks.
Chidinma nodded shyly.
“I will take my leave* she stood and picked her bag.
“You have a nice shape tho. I can imagine what your bump will look like on you….your man is lucky” he compliments.
“Thank you,I will come regularly for check up”
“Congratulations once again!.
Chidinma widened her eyes,is this man kidding her? Anyways she took his hand shake before walking out.

Royal Palace ???????????
King jewel returned to his palace after spending the nights attending to issues at the royal court.
The first person he asked about that morning was “DREMA” he was glad the guards told him he is still in the palace waiting for him.
It must be really serious for him to wait cos he knew rema hates him for what he did to him during his childhood.
“Tell him am back” he gestured and entered the throne room.
Soon Rema arrived,his expression was void jewel could sense it.
“My son!!!”he breathed in,well he wish he could say it out.
“I didn’t come here to play,neither did I come here for what you have in mind for I hate to see your face…..I hate to know that I was born for such a m©nsterous man.”
“I know,I don’t deserve to be called your father, I am not worth it”
“I’m glad you know. And alright,let’s get to business. Jewel,what’s your relationship with The Hampsons?” He asked.
“Hampsons? I don’t have any business with them” Jewel replied.
Rema knitted his brows. “The Uyah’s” he replied,better still.
King jewel sighed and explained to him.
“Ivory killed their son,not me”
“It’s still the same,you both killed him. You are both involved. I hate you Jewel, you always ruin my chances to claim the things I desired. Why? Why?”
“Rema,what shall I do to gain your forgiveness? I’m ready to love you back again as a father”
Rema didn’t reply,instead he turned and call out to the guards.
Who rushed out in multiple numbers ready to answer him.
“Queen ivory should be locked up,no food,no water” he gave orders,angrily.
“In all my whole life,there is only one day I will love you back as a father” he finally replied Jewel.
“Which day?” Jewel asked,feeling a little hopeful.
“On your funeral” rema replied and walked out.

Rema felt so bittered,he suddenly lost face on how to face Mrs Uyah and even to face Chidinma.
All through queen chiamaka didn’t talk to him, he left him alone and left him do his things. She will interfere but not now because she knows SAMUEL is DARREN.
“I need to see you,this night” Chidinma dropped a voice message to Rema.
Rema received her text and ran his fingers into his hair.
He knew it,he was expecting it.
She will break up with him???
