Episode 2
In the evening the children all gathered round their father’s old mercedez Benz. Mr Ade and his wife was sitted already. It was only one person they were waiting for.
Lilian: oooooi Loveth where are you na? Come on let’s go, am excited to see our new house.
Success: Me too.
John: you guys should relax, Loveth is coming you all know how she takes her time before she does anything.
Success: Abeg let her hurry, I want to see the new house
Mr Ade chuckled excitedly as he looked at his children. He was glad that not all of them shared in the worries of his daughter Loveth. Ever since he told Loveth of the house she hadn’t left her room. He knew what she was doing in there, he knew she was praying and asking God for a sign if this house was His will.
Mr Ade loved his daughter so much, he loved how she loved God and always put him first in everything but sometimes he can’t help but think she over does it.
It wasn’t long before Loveth stepped out holding her Bible of course. The children heaved a sigh of relief.
Success: Thank God, at last the Queen is out.
Loveth: Am sorry for taking your time. (She steps into the car and Mr Ade started the engine) Daddy please before you move let’s say a word of prayer.
Dear Lord Jesus, we thank you for the opportunity to move out of our house today. We ask that as we move out you go before us and make every crooked path straight in Jesus name. Amen.
They all choruses ”amen” as Mr Ade started the car and drives off. 35 minutes later they arrived at the beautifully well built house. The compound was well arranged and decorated with flowers.
Mrs Ade: (pointing to the house in shock) honey is this the house?
Mr Ade: (happy) I told you right? Yes this is the house.
John: Daddy its a lie, this fine house.
Success and Lilian jumped up dancing as Mr Ade pushed the silver painted gate opened and they all stepped in. Almost immediately his phone rang and when he picked up he recognised the voice of the caller.
Mr Ade: ah! Mr Landlord sir, I just arrived here with my family and I was about calling you.
Caller: oh that’s good. Have you seen the keys?
Mr Ade: No sir, I haven’t checked for them.
Caller. Alright, go behind the house, you will see a white flower pot. Hibiscus flower. Just raise it up you will find the keys under the pot.
Mr Ade: okay sir, thank you so much sir.
Caller: Enjoy the house and all that comes with it.
Mr Ade: Thank you so much.
The call ended and Mr Ade rushed to the back of the house and found the flower pot. He also found the keys under just as the caller had informed him. Quickly he went back to his family who were waiting for him at the entrance to the house. He shook the keys to his wife, smiling so wide. Mrs Ade breath down slowly because all along she was scares that her husband had been played and duped. Mr Ade opened the door and they stepped in.
And the house was the most beautiful and unimaginable kind of house that they’ve never ever imagined to live in.
