Chapter 18
Jake’s Mansion**
Jenna just woke up and rubbed her eyes sleepily, her face lit up when she remembered what her nanny had told her yesterday
“I can’t believe this, nanny is going to teach me how to swim, bake cookies and do a lot of fun things” she said happily and stood up
“I’m so happy” she sang and skipped to her father’s room that’s opposite her
“Daddy, can I come in” she knocked on the door
“Yes baby” Jake replied and she pushed the door open
“Good morning Dad” she rushed to peck his cheeks
“Morning baby” he lifted her up and pecked her cheeks too
“You look so happy this morning, won’t you gist me” he smiled
“I’m so happy dad, Nanny said she’d teach me how to swim, how to bake cookies, how to sing and a lot of things just like what my friends do with their mom” she said happily
“Oh, that’s great” he smiled and put her down
“Are you going to work, why don’t you take a day off” she pouted
“If I take a day off then how will you eat?” He asked, and walked to take his suit jacket
“But daddddddd” Jenna pouted
“Jeez baby, don’t dad me, have fun with your nanny okay” he pecked her cheeks again before walking out of his room
“Okay bye dad” Jenna came out after him
“Sure, you’ll be with your nanny right?, I’ll take Peter along” Jake said climbing down the stairs
“Sure you can take him, nanny and I will be just fine” Jenna smiled
“Okay, bye” he turned to peck her cheeks again before leaving
He opened the door to leave but almost immediately bumped into Irish
“Good morning Mr Jake, is Jenna awake?” Irish asked
“Hmm” he nodded still looking at her
“I’ll go in” Irish smiled and made to leave but his voice stopped her
“How was your night, did you sleep well?” He asked
“The question is did I sleep at all?” She chuckled and went in
Jake sighed and shook his head before walking to the packing lot
“Really Jake what’s your business if she slept well, why care all of a sudden?” He asked himself and went to his car
“Peter” he called
Peter who’s sitting on a bench chatting with Johnny stood up and rushed to him
“Good morning sir” he bowed
Jake simply nodded and adjusted for Peter to sit near him
“So any progress?” He asked
Peter bit his lips and shook his head
“No sir”
“Call me Jake when we are alone” Jake frowned
“Ion know it sounds so weird” Peter muttered and Jake chuckled a little
“Keep trying, we can’t let murders live long or are you not gonna do anything remembering how your family was wiped off before your very eyes?” Jake asked
Peter closed his eyes tight and tried preventing his tears
FLASHBACKS… SEVENTEEN YEARS AGO***
Nine years old Peter ran to the bus stop in tears, it can’t be true he’d families are not dead,no he refused to believe it
Just few hours ago, his mom, dad and he’s sister had gone out for shopping while he was at his friend’s house
“Mich” ten years old Jake yelled from behind
“Slow down why are you running so fast, it might not be your parents and your sister, slow down!!” Jake yelled
Peter didn’t stop he kept running till he got to the bus stop, he frozed when he saw fire extinguishers and police surrounding a car
“Mom, dad, sis!! Move!!” He yelled out and squeezed himself in
Jake who was standing at the back of him sniffed in his tears
“Mom!! dad” he yelled when he saw two bringing out a crispy body of a man and woman
“Mom, dad” he rushed to them in tears
“Mich what about your sis?” Jake asked
“Right” Peter made to run towards the car but the corps pushed him back
“Please my sis is inside” he cried out
“Young boy no one is here again” the officer replied
“What do you mean, my sister is also there” Peter said with teary eyes
“Kid, it’s just your parent, we didn’t see your sister” the officer replied
Peter and Jake exchanged confused looks.

Some days later
“Are you trying to tell me that, that car accident wasn’t really an accident?” Mr John Martinez, Jake’s father asked
“Exactly, someone did it on purpose sir, someone planned the accident on purpose” the officer replied
“But who could have done that, I can assure you that the Willams are good people…
The were talking but unknown to them, the two kids were listening to them secretly
END OF FLASHBACK
Peter sighed and wiped the small tears that’s threatening to fall from his eyes
“I’ve been trying to find this people for over seventeen years but no one” he muttered and brought out a picture of a small girl
“Ava, I really don’t know where you are now, maybe you’re alive or you’re dead but I’ll still find you” he muttered
Jake looked at him and rubbed his shoulders
“That’s it, we are not giving up Mich, I’m still here for you” he said
Peter looked at him and nodded
“Good, let’s go” he muttered and the driver started the car.
“Nanny” Jenna ran to jump on Irish arms
“Good morning Nanny” she smiled
“Hmm, you’ve bath?” Irish asked, when she saw that Jenna isn’t putting on any pjyamas
“Hmm, I can’t ruin our fun time that’s why I decided to bath early” Jenna replied
Irish smiled and put her down
“Young miss, breakfast is ready” Suzy came to them with a bow
“Okay thank you Suzy, nanny let’s go” Jenna said happily and rushed to the dinning
Suzy turned to look at Irish in shock while Irish winked at her
“Did she just tell me thank you?” Suzy asked
“You have ears don’t you??” Irish chuckled and walked to the dinning
“My oh my!!” Suzy jumped happily
Irish sat down opposite Jenna, she helped her dish some omelette and some bacon in her plate then helped her pour a warm milk in her glass
“Thank you Nanny” Jenna smiled and began eating
“So what we are gonna do today, let’s make sure to finish it before 8pm” Irish started
“8pm, why?” Jenna frowned
“Cause I have somewhere to go with my friends” Irish replied and crossed her arms
“I thought I’m your friend too” Jenna frowned
“Jennaaaaaa” Irish drawled
“Fine 8pm then. Nanny why aren’t you eating?, Join me” Jenna said after a short while of sulking
“I’ve eaten breakfast at my house already, I’m so full” Irish replied, rubbing her tummy
“But I can’t eat all these myself” Jenna pouted
“Then why don’t you ask Suzy to join you instead” Irish said out loud and Suzy shook her head immediately
“Fine, Suzy come join me I can’t eat all these myself” Jenna rolled her eyes
“Are you sure?” Suzy asked lowly
“Yes come on” Jenna sighed
Suzy smiled and came to sit with them, she dished herself some omelette and began eating immediately
“So after breakfast I’m thinking if we shook go to the amusement park and teach you how to ride a bicycle” Irish smiled
“Yes” Jenna clapped happily
“Can I come too?” Suzy asked
“No!!” Jenna yelled out
“Please, I can be your errand girl, what if you need a snack or drink or anything?” Suzy asked
“Still no, it’s only me and Nanny” Jenna replied
“Fine” Suzy bit her lips and faced her plate
“Let her come with us Jenna” Irish said and Suzy raised her head up with a smile
“If she comes, the both of you will start chatting and you’ll forget about me” Jenna crossed her arms
“It won’t happen, I promise I won’t even talk. Please I’ve never been to the amusement park before” Suzy pleaded
“You’ve never been to the amusement park before?” Irish faced her and asked in shock
“Even an old lady of 100 years have been there” Jenna added
Suzy sighed and bit her lips sadly like she wanted to cry
“Okay okay don’t cry, I’ve also not been to the amusement park before, it’s no big deal” Irish faked a laugh and scratch the nape of her neck
“Yeah, you can come with us as long as you promised to keep shut and don’t talk to nanny” Jenna added and eyed her
“Sure I promise I won’t talk to Nanny” Suzy smiled happily.

Amusement Park**
Johnny just packed the car in the parking lot, he got down and opened the door for Jenna, Jenna stepped down along with Irish and Suzy,who won’t stop smiling about the place
“This place is so beautiful” Suzy gushed happily
“I thought you said you won’t talk” Jenna frowned
“Fine sip” Suzy padlocked her mouth and began following them quietly
Irish rented two bicycles which Johnny paid for, she took it to the free road and faced Jenna
“So you can’t ride at all?” She asked
“I’m scared” Jenna shook her head
“It’s really easy, you’ll just have to sit here like this” Irish sat down,
“Put your legs on the paddle and start moving” she showed Jenna how too
“I’m still scared” Jenna shook her head
Irish sighed and carried Jenna to her bicycle
“Then I’ll ride you” she smiled began riding around with Jenna while Suzy followed behind with the second bicycle
…
“Move your legs come on” both Irish and Suzy yelled at the same time
Jenna closed her eyes and moved hey legs slowly, she opened her eyes happily when she saw that she’s moving
“Nanny look I’m doing it, I’m riding a bicycle” Jenna shouted happily
“Told you, you can do it, high five Irish” Irish smiled and high-five-ed herself
“Um Irish” Suzy tapped her lowly
“What?” Irish asked
“Jenna, has gone far” she said
“What!!” Irish yelled and entered the second bicycle then began riding after Jenna
Suzy groaned tiredly, making coming here was a bad idea, she breathed and began running after them.

Jake is sitting on his desk and working when his phone peeped, checking to see, it was from Jenna
She sent him a picture of her and Irish learning how to ride a bicycle at the amusement fan
Jake smiled and decided to vedio call her, after one wrong she picked happily
“Daddy!!!” She screamed, everywhere seemed noisy
“Baby, you’re having fun without me?” He asked
“Yes dad, when you come back from work you can come join us, but make sure you come back before 8pm, nanny said she’ll be going out with her friends” Jenna said
“Speaking of Nanny, where’s your Nanny?” He asked
“Look she’s riding the bicycle” Jenna pointed the phone at Irish who’s riding screaming and smiling at the same time
“Hmm” Jake just smiled lowly
“I can ride a bicycle too, look dad” Jenna smiled and gave her phone then Suzy
“My dad wants to see my ride the bike, make sure you put the camera on me” she said, Suzy nodded and looked inside the phone camera
“Hi Mr Jake” she waved happily
“Suzy!!” Jenna yelled and Suzy faced the camera back to her with a pout
Jenna climbed the bicycle and began riding, she rode and got to the same pace with Irish
“Daddy can you see me” she turned back to yell
Jake smiled and nodded but his eyes were on Irish who’s busy riding without her hands on the handle
“Nanny, daddy is watching us!!” Jenna yelled happily
“Where!!” Irish shouted and turned back immediately but her tire hit a stone making her fall hard on the floor.
