Chapter 18
“But you said that we will be getting married at church and everyone is already preparing for it. Why this ?”Isobel asked still feeling flabbergasted.
“For precaution. Bringing Marco here is something risky and I know that Marco won’t just give up like that.
He will try to do something and that might be on the day of our wedding”
“So before that happens. We will be married secretly. Even if the wedding is ruined. We will know that we are married already”Oliver explained.
“What do you think?” He asked when Isobel was quiet.
“Am still not sure but I will go with whatever plan you choose”Isobel replied and he moved towards her to take hold of her hand.
“You shouldn’t do everything I say. If there is a thing that bothers you. You should tell me”Oliver said.
“There is nothing bothering me and I will surely let you know if something is. For now am willing to go with whatever plan you make”Isobel assured him.
“Fine then”He replied as he went to open the door
Two male and a female walked into the room while James stood outside the door to prevent anyone from entering.
“Your the judge who will be getting us married today. Thanks for coming on a short notice” Oliver said and when the introductions were made.
The ceremony began with only the judge and the male and female who had followed the judge being the witness. Isobel and Oliver got married.
A while later Isobel stood in the room starring at the ring on her finger while Oliver escort the judge and witness out of the room.
She still can’t believe that she is married to Oliver. No matter how she thinks about it. She is Mrs Hayes now.
Well this is for her protection. She had gotten married just to get Marco off her back. She started this with Oliver, so there’s no going back.
The door opened and thinking it was Oliver she began talking softly.
“This ring feels like a weight in my hand and I….”She stopped when she saw that it was Melissa.
“What are you doing here?”Isobel asked.
“I just arrived with the media team and I was told that he is in this suite. So I came looking for him”She replied as she stared at the ring on Isobel finger.
On seeing where Melissa gaze was focused on . Isobel quickly hid her hand by putting it into her trouser pocket.
“What ring is that?”Melissa asked.
“What do you mean?”Isobel replied feigning ignorance.
“You were talking about a ring when I arrived. What sort of ring is it?”Melissa asked.
“Our wedding ring”Oliver replied as he walked into the room.
“Did you get married to her?”Melissa asked looking surprise.
