Chapter 19
“Isobel can you please leave us alone”Oliver said and knowing when she is unwanted. Isobel left them both alone.
“What’s going on? You were going to get married to her a week later. Why did you do it now?”Melissa asked.
“For her safety”He replied.
“Safety! “Melissa shrieked out angrily.
“You’ve been doing things that have been for her safety. You never think of yours!”She added yelling at him.
“I can protect myself but Isobel has no one and so I have to….”
“You have to be the one to do it! Just what is wrong with you? Must you really throw away your life for her?”Melissa said with a lot of anger.
“You know the score here. You know that have been searching for her and you know that I love her and now that I have her with me do you think am going to let her go?”
“Love? You love her?”Melissa asked as the tears she has been holding back began to pour.
“I do and you know it. So why are you acting this way? What’s wrong Melissa?”
Knowing she was making a fool of herself. Melissa sat down as she desperately tried to control her tears but it wouldn’t stop.
“Melly?”Oliver called as he knelt in front of her. Taking hold of her hand.
“What’s wrong? Why are you crying?”
“You don’t see it right? You just don’t see how much it hurts?”Melissa said confusing Oliver more.
“What hurts? Are you in pain?”He asked .
Angered by his question. She pulled her hand away from him.
“You will never know and that’s because you fail in opening your eyes”
“What are you talking about Melissa?”
“You don’t have to know. Am going to check if the advertising team are comfortable in their suite.
Congratulations on your marriage” She said as she turned to leave but Oliver held her hand preventing her from moving further.
“Melissa”
“What is it?”She asked turning towards with hope.
“Don’t tell anyone about our marriage. Its a top secret”He said disappointing her.
“Why is it a top secret?”She asked.
“Marco Hildalgo is here”Oliver replied.
“Marco! The same Mafia who is after Isobel?” Melissa asked and he nodded.
“I brought him here to…..”
“You must really be ¢razy to have done something like this and you know what’s more annoying?”
“The thought that you are doing all this for Isobel. A girl who doesn’t even love you or remember your past together.
Its so dmn annoying!”She yelled before storming out of the room leaving Oliver there.
Isobel was touring the hotel garden when she felt someone watching her. She knew who it was even before she turned to see his face.
Marco stood a distance away, glaring at her with so much anger.
She turned away, pretending not to know him and also continuing her tour while hoping that he would leave but that didn’t happen because he moved towards her taking hold of her hand.
“We need to talk”He said.
“I have nothing to talk about with you!”She said as she tried to pull away but he pulled her back.
“The anger burning in me can’t dissipate easily. So it’s either you come with me or I make you. Which do you prefer?”He asked waiting for her reply.
