Chapter Six
Calvin brought out his wallet and brought out some cash.
“I want to make an order” he said.
“Okay, what would you want?” Ava asked, pointing to the menu board.
“I’ll take a hamburger and fries and a cup of lemonade” he said.
“I’ll be right back”
“Yeah, make it in two place” he added.
“Sure baby, I mean sir!” She said and went away.
Ava walked back to the counter few minutes later and placed the order on the counter.
He paid and grabbed the food.
“Keep the change” he said and left.
“Thanks boo” she yelled as he walked away.
“Awwn, he’s so cute” she started to day dream.

Erica just quit her paper job and collected her pay.
“I just hope I get the job” she said and entered a bus to the company.
She was happy that she was going to see Olivia as the assistant manager.

Calvin ate his lunch in his office and took the other one to his brother who has been working all day.
Kelvin didn’t want to tell at him.
He just told him to place it on the table and leave.
But Calvin sat with him instead.
“Kelvin, I want to talk to you”
“I know you have meetings to attend and contracts to sign and a lot of things to do but, I want you to.hear me out” he said.
Kelvin placed his pen on the table and stared at Calvin.
“You have three minutes”
“Okay!” Calvin sighed and continued.
“I understand that you are much of an introvert but you can’t remain like this forever. You should have some fun now that you are no longer in Asia”
“Thirsty seconds left” Kelvin said.
“What? I didn’t even spend thirty seconds at all” he said, frowning.
Kelvin moved closer to his desk with his harsh expression on his face.
“I don’t care about whatever thing or fun you are talking about. You just have to leave me with my harsh and simple attitude”
“But it’s klling you” Calvin cried out.
“Time’s up. You need to leave. I have some work to do”
“Fine then” Calvin said and left.

Erica got to the company. She pushed the huge glass door open and got into the company.
“Woah!” She murmured as she walked deeper.
“Hello, how can I help you?” The receptionist asked.
“Don’t worry, I’ll take care of her” George said and walked towards his sister.
Erica hugged him, smiling at him.
“Thanks George. I never expected this to be soon” she said.
“I’ll do everything for you” he said and touched her nose.
“Well, I guess we have to live together from now on. I got kicked out of the house” she said.
“My house is always opened for you” he said.
The receptionist cleared her voice and nodded towards Erica.
He turned and saw others also staring at him. They were thinking Erica was his girlfriend.
“Oh, hi Everyone. This is Erica, my sister” he said.
“Ohhh” they muttered.
Erica blushed.
“Hi guys”
“Hiii, she’s so cute”
“Your sister is so beautiful. Look at that perfect body”
“Thanks guys, hey pal can you watch that box?” George asked his co worker as he led Erica to Calvin’s office.
George knew where his office was.
He knocked the door softly.
“Come in” they heard his voice.

George pushed the door open as Erica followed her into the office.
“She’s here” he said.
“Sure, thanks George” he replied, staring at the his computer.
George gave Erica a thumbs up and hugged her, kssing her forehead.
Calvin saw all of that and smirked.
Erica walked towards his table and stared at him.
Calvin finally raised his head and gazed at her.
“Hello”
The smile on Erica’s face slowly fade away.
“H-hi…” She stammered. She never imagined him as her boss or anything related to her.
“Why are we both always meeting by chance?” She thought.
“Have a seat Erica”
She snapped out of her thought and sat in front of him.
“Finally, I’ve met the man in my dreams” she thought.
“I’ve seen your CV. You are quite good. You studied business”
“Yes. I mean, yes sir” she stammered and swallowed hard.
“Well, I like that. You got the job. Don’t be too surprised, we don’t really accept people too quickly. It’s a new company, though one of our branches”
“I see” she said.
“Nice. We’ll return back to Asia after six months” he said and chuckled.
Erica secretly rolled her eyes giving him a why do I care look.
Calvin brought out a contract and pushed it to her.
Erica didn’t even read them, she just signed it and pushed it back to him.
“You are going to be my personal assistant. That is, you’ll do anything I asked of you. Even if it’s to dress as a strpper”
Erica shot her eyes wide open.
“What?”
“I’m just kidding” he said, smiling.
Erica sighed deeply. That was one thing she wouldn’t do.
“I really appreciate that sir. Thanks a lot” she said.
“I don’t have your contact number or do I have call your boyfriend if I want to talk to you?”
Erica folded her hands.
“My boss is a fool!” She thought and wished to say that out loud.
“He isn’t my boyfriend” she said, smiling weirdly.
“Then he’s what? Friends with benefits?” He asked.
Erica stood up and slammed her hands on the table angrily.
“He is my brother dk head. Why are you so concerned you dummy?! Mind your business” she yelled at him.
“No leave this office. I don’t want you here anymore!”

“Erica? Erica?” Calvin called out but she was lost in thought.
“Erica!” He yelled.
“Sir!” She called back.
“Who is he?”
That was when she realized that was all her imagination.
“He’s my older brother” she said.
“Oh, I never thought of that. Fine then, we’ll meet here tomorrow. Be early! You have to reach here before 9pm” he said.
Erica nodded and stood up before she says what she doesn’t want to.
“Yes I will sir” she said and left.
She got outside and leaned on the door.
“Yes! Yes! I’ll get more than enough to take care of myself” she said, dancing.
She got to the elevator and wanted to push the button then she remembered that she left her bag in the office.
Erica pushed herself out of the elevator and stared at the two doors opposite each other.
“Uh, which did I come out from?” She murmured.
She started to practice which door she barged out from.
“I think I should go left or right. No left or right is better” she said and twisted the knob of the door.
She quickly pushed herself into the office.
“Hello sir. I think I left my bag here” she said.
She was speaking to a person’s back.
He turned and stared at Erica, puffing out the smoke out of his mouth.
“Who are you?” He asked with his cold voice.
“Did you forget so quickly? I’m your new assistant. The one that just left the office. I think I left my bag there” Erica tried to explain.
“Leave!”
“But I…”
“Leave?!!” He yelled. And it frightened her.
She sighed deeply and slowly left the office.
As she closed the door, she saw Calvin coming out of his own office with Erica’s bag.
“You left this” he said.
“Yeah, I did” she collected it from him and left.
Calvin furrowed his eyebrows and wondered what she was doing in his brother’s office.
“Oh, she must have missed her way” he thought.

George saw Erica coming out from the elevator.
He stood up and walked towards him.
“How was it?”
“I got the job!” She said giving a fake smile.
The way the other man yelled at her still hurt her.
But she won’t let that spoil her joy.
“That’s good. In very happy” he said and hugged his sister again.
“Wait, I want to go to Olivia’s office” she squeaked happily.
“Olivia?” He asked.
“Yeah, she is working here, right?” She asked.
“Yeah, she is” he replied and placed his hand on his waist.
“Then take me to her office. She said she is the new assistant manager” she said.
George burst into a very loud laughter.
“No, she isn’t. She just cleans the company. She is part of the cleaning team” he said.
Erica closed her mouth in shock.
“What?” She whispered.
