Chapter Fifty Six
Kelvin woke up the next morning. He quickly prepared for work, trying to avoid Erica. But he had forgotten that Erica was to resume work that day.
He adjusted his black suit and stepped out of his room. He saw Erica outside the door dressed as a flight attendant. She stared at her wristwatch and stared back at him.
“You’re three minutes, Fourty one seconds late” she said.
“Are you to watch over me?” He asked, almost in a cold tone. She frowned.
“What do you mean?” She asked.
Kelvin realized that he was rude to her. He smiled and touched her face.
“It’s my duty to watch over you not the other way round” he said.
Erica giggled and grabbed his arm.
“Come on, let’s go” she said.
Kelvin secretly rolled his eyes. George and Ava also followed them in a separate car.
He was having too much company and was starting not to like it.

After some minutes, they pulled over in front of the company in their fancy car.
Erica removed her sunglasses and stared outside the window.
“Why are there so much reporters?” She asked.
“They’ve been here since I proposed to you. You are now a celebrity” he said and winked at her.
She smacked his chest and wanted to open the car. Kelvin stopped her and shook his head.
“What?” She whispered.
“Hold on” he said.
Quickly, some hefty bodyguard came and guard the door. One of the opened the door and they alighted.
The reporters tried to push themselves through but the bodyguards were stronger. Even Ava and George walked behind them.
“When is your wedding?”
“Are you happy with your billionaire fiancee?”
“Can we see the ring he gave to you?”
They both sighed deeply and finally went into the company.
“Why are they so much?” Erica grumbled.
Kelvin rolled his eyes after hearing her question.
How eyes met with his special investigator.
“Good morning boss, you have a meeting with Mr Xi Yun” the receptionist said. Kelvin loved the way he hid his identity. He looked more like a Chinese man.
“Let him in my office in ten minutes” he said.
He turned to Erica and Ava.
“Let’s go”
George find his way to his desk and started his work.

“Who’s Mr Xi Yun?” Erica asked as she entered into his office.
“Yeah, who’s that? Sir?” Ava asked. She wanted to know who was that.
“He’s just a business partner. Take Erica to Kelvin’s office. You two should stay there till the meeting is over” he said calmly.
“Are you hiding something from me?” She asked.
“No, Erica. I’m not and I would never. Just listen to me this once” he said.
“Sure, I’ll leave” Erica turned and left the office with Ava.

Minutes later, he walked into the office, holding his office bag which contained all the evidence Kelvin needed.
“Have your seat!” He said to him.
“Yes sir” Raphael said and sat down.
“It’s nice to see you again. What do you have for me?” He asked.
“Here sir. The evidence is already clear” he said and pushed the bag to him.
Kelvin stared at the evidence and smiled.
“I’m going to send you a million dollar extra for the good work. You never disappoint me but there’s one thing I want from you. How do we get him in our trap?” He asked.
“Leave that to me boss. He’s very smart and cunny. He does things that won’t allow anyone suspect him at all”
“That’s just it. He’s way to smart and we have to be smarter than him” he said.
“I’ll think of something boss. You just wait” he said.
“Very good. You can leave now and don’t talk to anyone on your way out” he said.
“Yes boss. Thank you” he said and left.
Kelvin hid the bag where no one could ever see it.
Erica opened the door thereafter and walked to her desk. She didn’t want to talk to Kelvin. She’s trying to act childish.
Kelvin noticed it. As acting Calvin, he needed to question her.
“Baby?” He called out as he walked towards her.
Erica rolled her chair and stared at him.
“What?” She asked.
“Why are you vexed?” He asked.
“Nothing. Just need to work” she said.
“So you aren’t angry?” He asked to be sure.
“No, I’m not” she said and diverted her gaze from him.
Kelvin smirked and bent his head. He gave her a quick kiss on the lips and stared at her, waiting for her to stare at him. She looked back at him with shock written all over her face.
“You just kssed me?” She asked.
“If you are not angry with me, kiss me too” he said, smirking.
Erica rolled her eyes and blushed.
“Do I have to?”
“Uh uh” he said.
“I have to work, okay? Just leave me” she turned her chair away from him.
“Fine then” he said and left to his desk. He sat down and started working.

As Kelvin worked, he received a call from the hospital. He sneakily stared at Erica and saw that she was into her work.
He left the office and went to his car. There was no where he could make his call without anyone hearing his conversation.
“Talk to me” he said.
“There’s a problem” the doctor said.

Kelvin didn’t allow him speak. He quickly started the car and zoomed off to the hospital.

He got to the hospital and followed the doctor into his office.
“What happened?” Kelvin asked.
“Your family is the only one that is aware of what happened in your family” he said.
“Yes, I guess” he said and lowered his gaze.
“Someone came here asking questions about what happened between the Greg brother’s. It seem like he knows what happened” he said.
“Can you describe him?” Kelvin asked.
“I can’t” he said.
“Then I can check the security camera. Take me to the camera room” he said.
“Yes master” the doctor said and took him to the room.

“That’s not him, skip” he said to the man controlling the computer.
“Stop!” The doctor ordered and he obeyed.
“Zoom in” he said.
“That’s him. He’s the one” he said.
Kelvin smirked.
“It is him. He’s the cause of the accident and everything happening to Erica and her family. He has made them suffered too much and his time is up” Kelvin growled angrily.
“Relax master. I didn’t tell him anything” the doctor said.
“He tried to kll my brother because he was helping Erica. He’s just finding a lot of ways to kll her” he said.
The doctor took a step back from Kelvin. He could sense how angry he was.

Later in the day, Kelvin went to visit his brother. He was happy that his father finally allowed him see him.
“I’m sorry Calvin” he murmured as he grabbed his hand. He stared at him, wishing he could stand up and hug him so that all this could just come to an end.
“Forgive me brother. I never wanted all this to happen” he said as tears rolled down his cheek.
He remembered when Erica woke up after trying to kss her.
He started to wonder if his brother would wake up if he also try to kss her.
He shook the thought out his head and stood up. He wiped the tears off his eyes and turned to leave the room.
He saw his father by the door.
“What is a m®nster like you doing here?” His father asked, almost yelling.
“With all due respect father, I’m not a m®nster” he said and bowed his head.
“If you aren’t a m®nster, you wouldn’t have klled your own brother” he said.
Kelvin wished he hadn’t met his father here. He was really frustrated already and didn’t want to pour them on his father. His father continued insulting him but he still didn’t talk back.
“..worse brother on earth…”
As he heard his father’s last word, he shot his father a hard glare and walked closer to his father.
“If you think I’m a bad brother to him, do you think I’d take him to the hospital after the accident? If you think I’m a bad brother, do you think I’d come visit him? If I’m a bad brother, do you think I’d f*cking look at your face father?!!!” He yelled at his father and panted slowly.
“I wasn’t suppose to be here at all. I should have left the mansion, company and everything related the Greg family. Even their fking riches. I don’t need any of them. But he wanted me to stay back. I was his source of happiness and joy even if I was rude to him. I was a good brother to him, doing most of the fking work in your bloody company. If you think I’m worse, that’s your problem because it doesn’t change any sht!” He spat and left.
“Kelvin! Kelvin!” Mr Greg yelled as he watched his son walk out on him.

Erica was outside the company with Ava and George. They were in their way home already.
“Sorry I’m late” Kelvin said, walking into the scene.
“It’s okay. Can’t wait for our date?” Erica said, smiling at him.
Kelvin shot his eyes wide open.
“Christ!” He mumbled under his breath. He had forgotten about the date.
