JOHN’S POV
‘I wouldn’t want you to hurt yourself, so just stay in the car and let them do their jobs and I’m sure you know my car is bulletproof. They
also brought bullet proof cars so let your mind be at rest’ I said to my brother
“Get that lady out of there car on time, they might try to do something you could ever imagine. I have a feeling they would wanna escape with her so please fight with your might, I trust you for that and I promise to compensate you all for a job welldone” I said to them as I ate from my plate of food.
Dmn! I cur$ed under breath as a bullet was shot at the camera which disturbed the video I was watching. I checked my Ipad and saw Matilda being carried out of the car. It’s getting darker already and I’m sure my men would be loosing their focus already. I was about
shouting at them to go for Matilda when I heard a loud gunshot and I lost signal immediately which got me tensed.
What on earth just happened??! I asked in a yell thinking the call has connected but it turned out it didn’t. what’s happening, why did I
lost every connection all at once? I asked myself as I perambulated in the room trying to get their connection back and that got me really
worried.
ELON’S POV
I could swear with my life that things will turn out bad for us all if we return to the boss without our target. We didn’t plan our mission
well and we happened to get outsmarted by our opponent. “We’ve been breached sir” I said to the boss as soon as his call came in and he
shouted at me as expected.
“I don’t give a damn about whatsoever happens to you while you’re at it and how you’re gonna go about it,
just make sure you bring that lady here tonight else you should count yourself dead” he replied angrily and I knew he didn’t like he was
joking.
“Get her out of the car and leave the premises secretly, another car will come take you outta here” I said to my colleagues and they
acted up immediately but I was more furious and bothered when the two people carrying her got shot.
“These people are way out of our league, I don’t think we can win them over” I said to myself and before I knew it, more of our men drove in thereby hitting the first car that trailed us causing damages to the car and their men lose focus as they ran to rescue them immediately, making us take that as an opportunity to fight them.
We were still attacking ourselves when different cars drove in suddenly and their lights flashed on our faces which made us took cover immediately. But before I knew it, they had already gotten Matilda out and didn’t hesitate to shoot us all. These men are indeed highly trained. I should’ve known from the start that we can’t overpower them… I thought as I yelped in pain after being shot in the arm I made sure I put a call across the boss so he would know what’s happened.
GABRIEL’S POV
Geez! I can’t believe those guys, how can they ever have the thought of hitting the car? I said to the people around me as i sat on the bed
in the ward we’re receiving treatment at. “they obviously had no good intention, we should just be thankful to God for not giving them to
kill Matilda. If not for the boss that thought of the smart idea that helped us, we won’t be saying this right now” one among my brother’s
men replied
Oh! That reminds me, have you called my brother? Is he aware of what happened to us? I asked and he handed me my Laptop. “we sure have done that, he would like to speak with you now, so that’s why I’m giving you your laptop… he replied and I switched my laptop on to
see him.
I’ll be back soon, but I want you two to stay where you are till I return. I think I will be transferring her to the other house. She isn’t safe
being at that house at least not until the real boss get arrested… he id
“I love that idea. But I need to be at home for few minutes. I have to pack some of my clothes and to also check if your workers are
maintaining the house very well while you’re away” I replied
I would’ve asked someone to just go pick what you need for you instead of going, but I’d let you go because you mentioned checking to
see how my employees are working… he said
“Where is the house you said I will be moving to?” Matilda asked as she came into the room and sat beside me. You will know that when I return, just make sure you stay safe till I return… he answered. “ can I at least go with Gabriel to pick somethings in the house too? She
asked again and he tutted which made her give a sad look.
“Welcome back sir, we didn’t expect you not to return home yesternight why didn’t you return with Matilda, is everything okay?” the gatekeeper asked as soon as I got out of the car. “She will be back soon, something came up that’s why we couldn’t return yesternight” I
replied. “Warm another car up, I’ll be going out in something else” I added before leaving
“Welcome back sir” Danielle and Gabrielle greeted as soon as I entered the house. Oh! Thanks. Have you been well? And where is Cassandra?
I replied and she entered the house just as I finished asking the question. “Is anything wrong with Matilda?” she asked.
Excuse you, is that the first thing you ought to have said to him? Gabrielle said to her and all I could do was stare at her and wonder if that’s how
dumb she could be to make herself so obvious.
“I’m sorry, I was just worried about her since they left and both didn’t return at the right time. Pardon my manners, good afternoon sir”
she greeted. “Your days are numbered” I said to her and left their presence.
“Your end is near” I heard Danielle said and I laughed softly as I walk.
