Tell me you remember me.”

Episode 12

Avril POV

I sat down on my chair typing away on my laptop, replying some emails and trashing some.

I haven’t seen Ace for three says now. He should know that he is fired.

“You can’t do that you know.” My subconscious mind told me.

Too bad sweetie, I can and I will.

I picked up my phone from my desk and scroll along my phone. There are news. The headline is what caught my attention.

BILLIONAIRE BACHELOR ACE JAMES FAIRWEATHER IS STILL VERY SINGLE.

Ace James Fairweather. That name sounds familiar.

I zoomed the picture of the man on black suit and a black sunglass. All color drained from my face.

Ace?

Oh my g0sh!
What is going on?
How? How did this happened? He was….he was just my bodyguard how can he be the famous Ace Fairweather?
I only knew him with his middle name, I never knew him as Ace James and he was always wearing sunglass so I don’t really remember his visual.

That impostor, that liar!

B@$tard!

I dial my mom’s phone number. They all knew all along. They knew whom he is. So why is he pretending to be poor?

“Hello sweetheart.”

“Mom why did you bring in an impostor as my bodyguard?” I asked. The line was silent .

“We need to talk. Meet me in my office asap.” Was her only surprise before she hang up.

Oh gracious Lord, I insulted him, called him a trash. I wonder how he must be laughing at my back.

The last time I checked his net worth seven months ago I was in $220billon. He is the richest man to walk on the surface of earth.

I stood up from my chair and grabbed my purse then walk put of my office.

“Cancel the rest of my schedule for the day, I’ll be out throughout.” I told my PA and she nods.

I got to the parking lot and drove out of the company to my mom’s office at the white house.

I sat in front of my mom ready to hear her.

“When you were just 16 years old you fell in love with Ace, he used to reject you because he is six years older than you but you didn’t care. You still went after him. You loved him with everything you have. He saw you as his sister but you wanted more. When you were 20, you were already in college and it was Ace birthday. According to your roommate she said you wanted to surprise him but unfortunately you encountered a very fatal accident which didn’t succeed in taking your life but you have amnesia. You couldn’t remember Ace. At that time he had grown to love the stubborn girl that you are.” Mom said and chuckled. “He transferred you to the best hospital in the world but you weren’t cure. You forgot only him. When you left for your masters in UK he told us that he wouldn’t give up on you and then he brought up the idea of being your bodyguard. So here we are.”

Is that why I feel so attracted to him?
That’s why I can’t seem to resist him? My whole being call for him.

“I can’t lie to you sweetheart, he tried all he could to retrieve your memory.” Mom said and I chuckled sadly.

“So he didn’t love me then, but loves me after I tried and tried. I have a boyfriend now. Sorry but I can’t remember anything.” I said and stood up from the chair walking towards the door.

“That man loves you sweetheart, you don’t want to lose the only man you truly love.” Mom said.

“You don’t know whom I love mom. I love Ishmael, he is the only man I love.” I said and she chuckled.

“If I were you, I’ll try to remember because you will go into coma when you remember but have lost him then.” She said before I walked out.

What the h.ell is wrong with my mom? I only love Ishmael. I don’t have any history with Ace. He doesn’t love me. He can get any girl he wants.

“What is so special about me?” I whispered to myself.
