Vera went into the hospital with Dr. Fiona, they made their way towards the brain scanner to see if there is anything wrong with her
“Mum, did we really need this? Seriously am find,” Vera said after they plug somethings into her head
“I have to be sure,” Dr. Fiona replied and start the scanning
“You’re just too old to be stubborn, right now you’re acting like a 12 years old kid,” Vera said
“That’s the best thing you have ever said to me, thanks sweetie,” Dr. Fiona replied
Making Vera frow her brows
“Seriously?” She said
“Yes honey, if only you listen to me and get married that boys wouldn’t have done this to you,” Dr. Fiona said replied
“Mum not again,” Vera said
“Your kids need a Dad, they will ask if a Dad someday and what will you tell them? That’s their Dad is a rappist or that he is…….”
“Mum till then, we will know how to go about it, I don’t wanna talk about this marriage stuff,” Vera cut in
“I see, what about the guy you tried kssing earlier? He will make a good match you know, and yeah, the president son called and asked about you, you should……..”
“Mum!!!!!” Vera shouted holding her head
“Am trying to be useful, you can’t remain like this all the days of your life, forget the past and accept the future,” Dr. Fiona added
“No one is marring anyone mum, can’t you see that they are dangerous, first it was rape and second it was attempted rappe, Mum please I don’t wanna talk about it,” Vera said and covered and face
“I will get you a husband, you can’t keep being single in my house, you need love in your life,” Dr. Fiona replied
After some time the scanning was over, and a nurse came and remove the equipment
“Are you dying soon? Or am I sick?” Vera asked
“Let’s wait for the results,” Dr. Fiona replied
They walked out only to see the securities blocking some people from coming in
“I will go see Lupita,” Vera said and turned to go
She haven’t taken up to three steps when she heard her name, turning her back she saw her parents standing not far from them
“Veronica,” her mother called
She didn’t believe her eyes and thought maybe she was seeing a ghost, she took a few steps towards her as Vera stood motionless
“You’re alive,” Mrs. Mars said trying to touch her but she moved backward
Her mother turned to Dr. Fiona who was still standing there and charged toward her
“What did you do to my child? You said she was dead, what did you turn her into,” Mrs. Mars demanded
When Dr. Fiona didn’t say anything, she raised her hand to slap her but Vera stood at her front immediately and the hot slap landed on her cheeks as tears started flowing from her eyes
“THROW THEM OUT,” someone else said…
