When everyone had left to their respective homes, Lord Rodriguez ordered Enya to stay behind.

She waited until everyone had left and the hall was empty for the two of them alone.

He walked up to where she stood, for she has been standing there since he had called her up.

” My Lady.” He called in a deep but cold voice. ” Forgive me if I have made this known the wrong way. You might wonder why I have chosen you and not your sisters.

They are of course worthy, but not as you are. I decided not to have noticed you all these while because I wanted to prove to my instincts that I can have no other person for my heart.

But then I discovered one thing, ” he leaned close to her ear, ” I love it when you get jealous. “

Enya’s eyes widened, she never expected him to have noticed that. He pulled back, staring at her face.

” But do not worry, your jealousy isn’t the kind that irritates me. It only explains how much you wish to have me… Alone. “

Enya looked to the ground, avoiding his gaze. ” I want to ask, Those groaning feelings, do they still dwell in your heart? “

She didn’t know what to answer. So many times she has tried taking him off her mind. He is also the main reason why she desperately wanted to learn the archery.

To have anything… everything about him erased from her memory once and for all. But all her attempts went in vain.

He was still there, deep down in her heart, occupying every single part of her mind.

” I always thought I loved His Highness, but then I realized that it wasn’t love. I was only obsessed with him. “

” Behind those obsession, is there still a love to be found? “

She didn’t want to look at him, her face made no sign of leaving the ground. He held her chin, raising it up that she can look at him.

” Is there still a love to be found?” He asked again.

This time, her tears explained it all to him. She was staring at him, but the hot tears couldn’t stop from leaving her eyes.

” As soon as we leave to my hometown, I will not only make you my wife, I will also make you my queen. You will always be by my side, every morning and night.

Your face shall be the first thing I will see every morning I wake up and it shall be the last thing before I sleep.

I will make your pains my pains, your happiness shall be my happiness and your enemies shall also be my enemies.

He pulled her close, hugging her tight to himself. ” And util death do we path. “

That evening, she ran up to the hillside where she trains with Jonah. She didn’t stop running until she got there.

She fell to the ground crying out loud. Why would fate have to torture her in this way? Why has it make her think her life was worthless??

Why her? Oh, so unexpected.

At this moment she couldn’t think who it is that was wrong? Rosalie? Cynthia or Elizabeth? Her mother? What about her??

No one was actually wrong and no one was right either.

Maybe Rosalie’s words did help her a lot. If she hadn’t stepped down from the test, who knows?? Would struggling with her sisters be the right choice to make?

Is this actually fate’s doing, or is it all a dream?

What will her sisters think of her, that she has always been envious and jealous of them? That she must have in anyway convinced the Young Lord to herself?

Why does she feel like this is all a mistake? Why does she still feel that she doesn’t deserve him or his love… worst to be his queen.

Was this supposed to be happening?? This has once been her dream, but is she ready to face it? In reality?

” No! No!!” Anna cried. ” It has to be me. I have to be the chosen bride not her!!” She stormed everything in her room with her hands. ” It was supposed to be me!”

” You have to calm down, sister, yelling will not help.” Arwen tried to calm her down.

” Sitting and pretending like every thing is alright will not help either. She took my position. She said she wasn’t interested anymore, she isn’t meant to be with him.”

” She didn’t chose him, her chose her.”

” She should have said no to him.”

Arwen sighed, sitting on the bed. ” First, you have to calm down then we talk about this. “

” You don’t look troubled about her being his bride.”

” Oh, come on Anna, I have said this over and over again. I do not have interest in marriage, I am still young to be courted. I was with the Young Lord all this while because I felt I needed to learn more.

If there is anyone to be courted, then it’s either you or sister Enya. I have no love for anyone… not even for him.”

” I must do something about this. I can not let her take him away from me. I am meant to be his queen, she rejected him to be alone. Why didn’t she do the same now?” She stamped her fist on her drawer.

” I will do whatever it takes to have Lord Rodriguez all to myself.” She threatened.

” What do you plan on doing? ” Arwen asked, sensing danger in her words.

” Anything… Anything. “

” You are scaring me, Anna. ” Arwen said a bit terrified.

” You do not have to be scared, my plans aren’t for you.”

Finally, the bride has been chosen. We all didn’t expect it to be Enya, did we??
