” You don’t have to push further, I won’t survive this. ” She coughs again. And again.
” I have to. I don’t want to lose you, Enya. We just barely had each other, and you want to leave me all alone? ” He wept.
” Is that tears? ” She asked, slowly raising her hand to his face. She cleans it with her thumb, ” You don’t have to cry for me. Some times, things doesn’t work out the way we planned it to be,
Maybe, fate didn’t plan my future well. If what you say is true about us being together, then I have no regrets. I wish I can remember, I wish… ” She coughs. “… I wish this is all a dream. ”
” No… ” He stood up from the bed, walking to the window. ” No, you’re not going anywhere. I have lost you before, I am not loosing you again. ”
He turns to her, his wet eyes staring into hers. He walks back, kssing her lips.
It took seconds before he could break free, not taking his gaze off her.
” I won’t let you go. And I have sworn, to hunt your sister down and bring justice.
I do not care how much she means to you, no one touches my property. ”
He stands to go. ” I remember. ” She said in a whisper. ” I remember it all.” He turns to lookooks at her. ” We got married, and everyone was happy expect her. I remember it all.
I remember the day at the beach, I remember the night we made love.
And I remember eating the food, it was poisoned. But please, don’t hurt her.
I beg you, do not revenge for my death. No matter what, no matter everything she’s done to me, she is still my sister.
I didn’t die because she wants me to, it’s fate. It’s always fate’s doings. ”
He takes his gaze away, not wanting her to see his tears. ” Why? Why do you want to accept this fate? Why do you want it to take you? ”
” I don’t. I have never dreamt of this, but what can I do. Even the doctor knows I will not survive this.
Don’t hurt anyone for my sake, not Anna and not even the doctor for not saving my life. Promise me. ”
He couldn’t. He shook his head.
” Promise me, Riguez. Promise me you won’t hurt them.”
” I… I promise. I promise. ”
” I’m happy. I’m happy you listened to me. ”
He didn’t hear her voice again, he stopped crying. Turning to her, she was staring at him… Dead.
He walks to her body. Feeling her pulse, he collapsed to the ground. Speechless, he sat there like a statue.
Only tears made its way down his cheeks. The door opens, Arwen and the doctor walked in.
They were surprised to see the King sitting on the ground. Arwen walked to him, ” Your Majesty, you shouldn’t be sitting on the floor.”
” What do I have left, when the only world I have is gone? What is so important about my throne, when the one after my heart is no longer with me? ”
” I… I don’t understand. ” Arwen said confused.
The doctor who had just felt Enya’s pulse said, ” The Queen is dead.”
It was like the atmosphere was still, her eyes slowly moved to the doctor. ” What did you just say?”
” She is dead.” He closes her eyes. ” She knew she wouldn’t make it, she accepted her fate.”
” You.. you are trying to say… my sister is… dead? ” She forced the words out of her mouth.
He nods.
” No. No. No. ” She fell to the ground…
She fainted.
