A little more time and Mica arrived. Octavia felt happy and relieved because that was the closest person she knew.
They went into the room together and both got dressed for the party because the other members of the clan were already leaving.
“Do you think it’s possible to….excuse myself from the party?” Octavia asked as Mica applied a little make up on her.
“And why would you want to stay back, Octavia? Besides, I don’t think it’s a good idea since Becca’s already given orders for you to be there”. Mica replied and Octavia swallowed hard and didn’t say a word
“You guys seem to party a lot over here” sh said after a while.
“Well…yeah” Mica shurgged. “That’s one popular characteristics of the X-family. We party a lot – almost everyday. It’s the only thing that brings the different clans together”
Octavia nodded and allowed another silence to descend.
When Mica was done with her light make up, she looked at herself in the mirror and was astonished by what she saw. Wow! She was really beautiful, wasn’t she?
She snapped the thought of her mind, took a deep breath and followed Mica out of the room.

They had made use of the last bus leaving for the party and by the time they arrived,the party was booming and pulsating with life.
It was taking place in a large open field, classic chairs and tables arranged round, bottles of expensive wins scattered all over the table, and of course, there could never be a party without a jam song.
Octavia felt so nervous as she walked in with Mica and the rest and her eyes started going round immediately could any of the Masters be there?
Of course! She could see a lot of them already – sitting in different groups, different halfly dressed ladies sitting on their thighs and giving them pleasure while they drank and laughed with hilarity.
Octavia’s eyes searched around for two Masters; but she didn’t see either of them. And when she didn’t see them, she discovered she was actually looking for three Masters because she started looking for someone else. Master Khalid.
But she couldn’t see him either. Where could he be? He must have attended, right?
“Come on” Mica tapped her hand and led her to a table which she had followed.
The party was too crowded and noisy for Octavia, but what could she do?
So many strippers we’re on the stage, entertaining as usual while some of the boys sprayed hard currencies on them and cheered mirthfully.
The life of the X-family – Octavia thought.
No wonder they could al be dangerous and do despicable things – ki.ll and destroy. It was already in their blood and has become their lifestyle already.
“You should have a drink” Mica said as she poured some from a wine bottle into a smaller glass cup.
Octavia didn’t want to drink, but remembering What Mica had told her during the last party, she decided to get used to it.
“Thank you” she mumbled and collected it from her, taking a gulp.
Gosh! It was sour. How do people enjoy this, huh? And even get addicted to it?
Two ladies showed up after a while and started a conversation with Mica and Octavia had to be left alone since she couldn’t get involved in their conversation.
She found herself pouring more drink from the bottle to the glass since that was the only thing that could keep her busy. She drank more.

After a while, she spotted some of the Masters walking in – more of them.
Khalid was there with Becca beside him. And hah!! She spotted him as well – Master Klaus.
But Zack wasn’t there. Could it be possible he didn’t attend the party?
“Um… I’ll just take some air” she said lowly to Mica and walked away even without getting a reply from her
Oh! She had felt so nervous.
Her steps almost faltered but she managed to get away from the crowd and noise and ended up in front of the pool. She exhaled deeply.
At last! She could hardly wait.
She placed her hands on her waist and looked around. There were still a few people close to the pool – just boys and girls cuddling- and they didn’t seem to be noisy. So, she actually prefered them.
But she suddenly flinched when she saw something alarming; something that almost made her fall on her knees.
Whaaaat???
A girl kneeling in front of a boy and having his thing in her mo.uth.
How the he.ll do they manage to do that in public when they could easily be seen by anyone???
Octavia felt her Jaws itch.
They were on the other side of the pool, but she could still see them clearly due to the pool lights.
The girl was stroking the guy’s thing even while she took it in her mo.uth. Then, Octavia realised. That was what she should’ve done to the Master, right? That day in the room?
Oh! How stupid and naive she had been. She had only been taking him into her mo.uth and didn’t do anything else.
Everyone knew their jobs, and she was the only dumb one among them.
“Hey, you!” A voice suddenly called from behind and she shuddered a little as she turned to have a look.
It was a strange boy – accompanied with one other boy.
“Hmph. You really think you could hide?” He snorted, making Octavia a little confused.
“Come with us. Master Klaus is calling for you”.
That was the moment Octavia knew the human heart could stop beating even when the human was still alive.
Goodness! No. No. Master Klaus?
Cold shivers ran down her spine as she couldn’t even move.
“Get her!” The boy commended and the other went to her and grabbed her roughly by the arm.
Sbe was dumbstruck; the ability to talk suddenly obliterated from her memory as she couldn’t say a word.
Oh God! How could she be so stupid to think she could survive this night without getting hurt?
Her heart beat rapidly as they took her back to the heart of the party. They walked paas so many tables until they finally got to the section of the clan Masters and stopped.
If there was a word greater than fear, Octavia would’ve used it on herself. She was terrified.
A lot of Masters were there, having the usual fun; but most of them stopped to look at her when she arrived.
Khalid was there as well with Becca beside him. He had been taking a drink, but when he saw the guards bring Octavia in, he paused.
“Tell me I’m mistaken” one of the Masters suddenly chuckled. “Isn’t this the same lady that crashed Klaus?”
There was a heated laughter among few of the Masters, but Octavia could tell it only meant more trouble for her as Master Klaus’ face had gotten swollen with rage.
He dropped his glass of wine and stood up.
“Of course, she’s the one” he grunted, taking the few steps needed to cover the distance between both of them.
Octavia’s hands were almost shaken beside her. Oh! Please, she couldn’t think of putting herself in more trouble. She couldn’t think of using her powers again – never!
Klaus was seething with anger as he stood very close to her and gripped her Jaws in a rough way, lifting them up to look at him.
“She’s the little br@t” he added.
Octavia’s breath wavered as she was forced to look into his cold eyes. Oh! It was so obvious – the coherent anger in his eyes; the hunger to hurt her badly.
They made her so scared.
“I’m going to make sure you pay for that” he added whisperingly and let go of her Jaws – roughly.
She winced.
He went round to stand behind her and his mere presence was making her shiver. She couldn’t see him and didn’t know what he would do. Her eyes were pinned to the floor as she didn’t want to look into the faces of any of the Masters – she didn’t want to look at him.
“On your knees” she felt the Master’s breath on her neck and slowly, she lowered her knees to the floor.
Her entire system screamed and racked of anxiety.
They were already drawing attention from the rest of the people in the party as all eyes started focusing on them.
Even the $trippers on stage had slackened their pace in delayance to watch the mini drama.
Klaus reached for her the collar of her dre$s and to.re it open from the back and a little gasp escaped the crowd.
To $trip her – thar was his plan.
But a stunned silence took over when Khalid suddenly spoke up.
“Is that really necessary?” He scoffed.
Klaus paused. His brows arched.
What’s he talking about?
The rest of the Masters murmured and turned to Khalid, but he didn’t try to look at any of them.
“Did you say something?” Klaus asked, wanting to believe it was just a mistake.
And in the twinkle of an eye, something happened – something unexpected.
An ar.row flew from no direction and landed straight on Khalid’s ¢hest, piercing into it.
There was a louder gasp.
Whaat??
Confusion set into the place, it became scattered.
“Khalid!!!” Becca screamed.
