“I’m sorry…” Mica’s voice trialed off, although she had no idea why she was being sorry.
Khalid’s brows furrowed, together with a crumpled look that accompanied it as he stared at Mica on her knees.
Pregnant? Octavia was pregnant?
“For who?” He muttered and Mica looked at him
“Who’s responsible for it?”
Mica would’ve said she was almost surprised he was asking such a question, but hell, she wouldn’t blame him.
“F… For…For you, Master” she answered, her eyes going back to the floor.
Something in Khalid’s heart melted. He didn’t entirely know what it was, but he could feel it. It melted.
He scoffed and turned around, backing her.
Mica wanted to talk further, to explain why they didn’t tell him about it and decided to do it on their own.
To explain how scared Octavia had been and couldn’t think of telling him to his face .
She wanted to explain everything to him, but then, considering the tension of the situation, she just decided to keep shut about to avoid getting into more trouble.
She knew Khalid. Any wrong word or action could get him really angry at the moment.
He was silent for such a long time and due to the position they had, Mica couldn’t take a look at his face to tell what was going through his mind.
But no matter what, she felt a rough path ahead.
“Get out, Mica” he finally said gruffly and Mica staggered on her feet.
She shut him a stare from behind, bowed and finally left the room, her heart melting to pieces.

Octavia sat tiredly on the phone, feeling so weak and dizzy.
Her back was leaned against the wall, her head leaned as well as she tried to get some sleep which was almost impossible in this God-damn place.
She felt so thirsty, so hungry and craved for apples. She was so incomplete sitting there in that strange place and really needed a way to get out of there. But what does she do? Her hands and were tied and for someone in her condition, she felt so weak and wouldn’t be able to fight all by herself.
But what could really be going on? Why was she abducted in the first place? And with Master Klaus’ words, it seemed he really didn’t we want revenge from her, but soemthing else. So, what could it be?
Oh! Her waist. It was beginning to hurt a little since she had been sitting for so long already. At that moment, she didn’t even know if she was to pray for the safety of her baby or not, considering the fact she’s been trying to get rid of it for the past 48 hours.
But somehow, something in her guts wanted it to be safe. Soemthing in her mind prayed for it’s safety and hoped it doesn’t get affected from all these drama. She just wanted to close her eyes and sleep and the next time she goes awake, she’d be back at the camp with her sister – close to the Master.
She took in several deep breaths and closed her eyes, her back leaned against the wall. And shortly, she heard the sound of the door opening and snapped her eyes open immediately.
It was a boy, coming in with a bottled water. And she recognized him to be among those that had come in with Master Klaus a while ago.
She glared at him and took her eyes to the floor, wishing there was a way she could be closer to the wall than she already was .
The boy who looked really huge and scary walked towards her and crouched in front of her.
“Here. You should be thirsty” he said grumpily as he opened the bottle of water and brought it close to Octavia’s lips.
Octavia was hesitant as she stared beadily at him. Although, she was really thirsty but didn’t know if she was to trust him or not.
“Are you taking it ot not?” He asked with a stern look and Octavia found herself taking her lips closer to it and drinking from it. Since her hands were tied, she had to drink it that way.
She drank to her fill and withdrew her lips immediately, and the boy closed up the bottle.
Octavia was tempted to ask him some questions. Like, what was going on and why she was being held there, but Knowing how such people act, she felt he was never going to say a word.
“You should enjoy this moment while you still can” The boy suddenly said, staring bluntly at her.
And Octavia didn’t take her eyes off him either.
“Because in a few hours from now, you’re likely to be ki.lled”. He continued and her heart skipped twice.
What??
“My Master had asked a little sacrifice from yours to save your life, but he turned it down and asked us to go ahead in wasting you. Your Master has abandoned you” he added coldly and stood up, turned around and left
Octavia’s breath hitched as she watched him walk out of the room, she felt heart beating rapidly, the reasons unknown to her.

Those words replayed in her head and left an indelible remark. Was he really telling the truth? Did Khalid was really ask them to ki.ll her?
But what was the sacrifice? And was it too much, he couldn’t do it?
Her heart ached and bIed badly, and she turned to her side and threw up immediately, unable to control the urge.
Tears spilled her eyes afterwards as she broke out, crying.

“Master, are you really sure about this? This is the only defense we have” Draco said, feeling so uncomfortable with the whole idea.
“You don’t question me, Draco. I know the odds and stakes” Khalid rasped back.
They were all in his room.
“But Master… Why do we have to risk this for Octavia? This was only meant to be used in an extremely trivial issue, when the lives of all the members of the clan are at stake – not just for a single person alone” Moscow chipped in.
They really couldn’t understand why Khalid was trying to make such drastic decision.
“Question me again and I’ll have your head for it. Now, place the call and give me the phone!” He said raucously and Draco turned on the phone immediately, searching for the contact.
He dialed Master Klaus’ line and as soon as it was ringing, he handed the phone to Khalid.
Klaus had been waiting for that phone call for a long time. Even when Khalid had told him he wasn’t doing his bid, he still had faith and hoped he was gonna change hi mind. And seeing the phone call in front of him, he couldn’t be any more happy.
He picked the call elatedly and walked to the window to stand..
“Khalid” his voice echoed victory.
“Listen carefully Klaus, because I’m not gonna repeat myself and it’s only gonna be your loss if you miss it” Khalid said immediately and Klaus looked a little confused.
But he kept mute and listened anyway..
“I have four secret bo.mbs planted round your vicinity, and if you don’t do as I say, I’ll blow them off – one after the other”. Khalid broke the bo.mbshell, and Klaus was gob smacked.
Draco and Moscow exchanged a quick glance at each other. Those bo.mbs were their secret defense and were to be used in extremely urgent situations.
They were to use it in coaxing Master Klaus to do something difficult which would favor the entire clan- if the need ever arises.
Most clans had secret defenses against other clans and those bombs were Khalid’s own secret. And they couldn’t believe he was using all of it just to save Octavia.
“What’re you talking about, Khalid?” Klaus chuckled. “Have you gone nuts? You think giving me empty threats would be of any help?”
Khalid pressed the detonator in his hand and one of the bo.mbs went off instantly at Klaus’ clan, shattering one of his buildings.
Klaus’ eyes dilated in shock and surprise as he heard the bo.mb go off and rushed to the second room to see.
Screams had filled the clans with people running all over as fire burnt from the side of the bo.mb.
“Khalid!!!” He roared and turned away from the window.

“What the fk are you doing??!?”
“The next detonator I press would be for the three other bo.mbs, Klaus” Khalid spoke icily.
“I want you to take Octavia, put her in a car and drive her straight to the entrance of my clan. And this time around, you don’t have 12 hours, but 20 minutes. If you’re one second late, I’ll make you pay dearly.
“If she’s back here and I notice a scratch on her, or notice you did something else to her, I’m still gonna blow off the bo.mbs. So, for your sake, you better pray she’s safe – if you know how to pray”.
“How dare you, Khalid! How dare you? If you blow off the bo.mbs, she’s still gonna die!” Klaus grouse.
His eyes were filled with so much anger, so much rage.
“Yeah. But I’ll be sure you’ll be de.ad as well. Your legacy would burn in less than an hour, Klaus. It’d burn to dust. You have 19 minutes left”. He answered and ended the call.
