Octavia took in a deep breath and running out of options, decided to do as he said. So, she walked towards the door, opened it and stepped out of the bathroom.
Khalid was sitting on the bed,his eyes glued to his phone and Octavia felt unusually shy as she walked closer to him, her hands in front of her.
She noticed he’d changed – his shirt. He was now putting on a white shirt with the three upper buttons exposed, giving him that ma.fia look.
When Khalid lifted his eyes from the phone to look at her, she lowered hers immediately to the floor, then stopped walking. She felt she was close enough.
“Turn around” Khalid’s icy voice said and she forced her legs to turn her around.
As she stood backing him, she felt a little relived. At least, she wouldn’t have to look him in the face.
She stayed that way for a long time, beginning to cringe as she didn’t hear any movement from Khalid. Could he be staring at her back? Or he was still busy with his phone?
A longer time passed and Octavia was beginning to feel really tired already. Her legs and waist were hurting so bad and she really needed to sit.
She was about turning around when she heard a slight movement and remained the way she was.
She let out a deep breath. He was finally coming to her.
Khalid walked up to her from behind and snaked his hands to her chest, getting hold of her bbs which he could confirm had become bigger.

“Octavia…” He suddenly called,bringing his finger out of her. “Why didn’t you tell me you were pregnant?”
Octavia’s hand fell from his immediately as she snapped her eyes open and moved her head from his chest.
She felt the rapidness in her heartbeat die instantly as her head seem to spin round.
What…What did he just say?
A stretched silence stepped in.
“Hhm?” Khalid mumbled and pulled her tip a little ha.rd, but she couldn’t feel the pain due to how clouded her mind was.
“M…Master?” She called dazily, her head feeling so blurred.
She didn’t hear him correctly, did she?
No, Of course she didn’t.
Khalid moved away from her completely, and she felt empty and lifeless – like she could collapse at any moment.
“Turn around” he instructed, but she couldn’t.
Dmn it! She was drenched in fear.
“Octavia?” He called again and slowly, she forced herself to turn around.
Her hands were a little shaky. So, she clamped them together to prevent them from being so visible.
He had resumed sitting on the bed, just staring at her and Octavia made sure her eyes were glued to the floor.
“I asked a question” he said and Octavia felt herself almost panting- almost.
She moved her tongue say a word, but nothing was coming forth.
How did he know??? Who told him??
Mica was the only one who knew about it, right?? Yes, it was just her! How did Khalid know?
She hyperventilated as her eyes danced on the floor, but she could feel Khalid’s cold gaze on her and knew she needed to give him a reply – anything at all.
“I….I…” She paused.
“I’m sorry” was all she could say at last.
She was completely dumbfounded and filled with shock. How did Khalid know – the question kept ringing in her head.
Khalid left the bed and walked to his table, taking up a cigarette.
“You tried abo.rting it?” He asked as he reached for his lighter and lit the cigarette.
He was going to smoke – Octavia thought.
“Y…Yes. But… there’s been some complications and… that’s the reason Mica and I have been going to the hospital” she gulped hard.
“What complications?” Khalid turned from the table to look at her, taking a drag.
Octavia swallowed hard again. Goodness! She couldn’t believe she was really having this conversation with him.
“I… I’d taken the pills the doctor prescribed to me, but they didn’t work. I mean… I only felt slight pains and a little drop of blood, but Mica said…it wasn’t supposed to be that way”.
“So, you’re still pre.gnant?” He asked after a little pause and she nodded.
Her hands were covered in sweats already and she hoped he wouldn’t notice it. .
Khalid scoffed and turned around, taking more drags from his cigarette.

“You shouldn’t be pre.gnant, Octavia” he said grumpy, his back still turned against her.
“Why didn’t you take pills or something after each inter¢ourse?”
There was a skip in Octavia’s heart beat.
“I…I thought I did”. She stuttered faintly.
Khalid took more drags from his cigarette and lifted his head to puff out smoke.
With the way he acted, Octavia could notice something different in him. What could possibly be going through his mind?
“Santa” he called out and the door opened shortly, revealing one of the guards.
“Yes, Master?”
“Get me Leo” he turned to him and said.
