Khalid took another longer drag from his cigarette, then kept it on the table and walked to his wardrobe. He pulled out one of his long T-shirts and threw it at Octavia.
“Put it on” he told her as he walked back to the table and without hesitation, Octavia wore on the shirt.
But on a second thought, Khalid was making her wear his shirt! Like…his personal shiirt!
Was this a dream??
The shirt was big enough to cover her but it wasn’t even upto her Iaps.
His body smell clouded her and well…she liked it and felt so honored having to wear Khalid’s shirt.
But, she actually had something else to worry about -Why was Khalid calling for Leo? What could he possibly want him to do?
“M… Master” she called after a little while. “Can I….sit, please?”
Khalid turned slightly to look at her.
“Yeah” he nodded and looked away again.
Ah! Thank goodness.
Without hesitation, Octavia lowered herself to the bed and sat on it, her hand on the side of her waist.
All the bones in her body seemed to cool down at once. She really needed this rest.

It didn’t take long before a knock came on the door and when Khalid ushered the knocker in, it was Leo.
“You sent for me, Master” he said with a bow, shooting a blank stare at Octavia.
“Yeah, I did Leo” Khalid turned around and looked at Octavia.
He was sure of this.
“I need you to run some tests on her” he began. “She’s pre.gnant and I need you to run some tests on the baby to see if it could still be removed at this moment”.
Octavia bent her head immediately, while shock and bewilderment took over Leo.
Wait… whaat???
His entire face crumpled up in surprise as he looked at Octavia. She was pre.gnant?? For real???
How on Earth?
“Leo?” Khalid called back his attention and he blinked rapidly.
“Oh! Um…of course, Master. I’ll just… get some of my things” be stuttered a reply and left.
Octavia felt tears threatening to spill her eyes and couldn’t exactly tell why.
Perhaps, this was exactly what she’d been scared of – the father of her first child trying to get rid of the baby. This was one of the reasons she’d wanted to keep it a secret and ter.minate it on her own. It was all because she was scared of this! She was scared of this same action?
She sniffed and bent her head more, hoping Khalid wasn’t taking notice of anything. She didn’t want him to.
The door opened again and Leo walked in, holding somethings in a bowl.
Well, since Leo discovered his healing abilities at a young age, he’d developed interest in the field completely and proceeded to learning all forms of local treatments.
The shock was still apparent on how face as he walked towards Octavia on the be.d.
Like…this was the same lady he was crushing on. How could she be pre.gnant – for someone else? For Khalid?
“Um… you’ll need to lay flat on the be.d so I can examine you” he told her and she nodded slightly and moved deeper into the be.d.
She also felt so uncomfortable with the fact that Leo had to examine her. She knew what this guy had done and never wanted him to touch her – ever again.
But there she was, laying flat.

It went on for a while and when Leo finally confirmed he was done, Octavia couldn’t help but breath out in relief.
“Did you try ab.orting the baby before now?” He asked her and Octavia nodded slowly.
“But it didn’t work?” He asked and she shook her head negatively.
“Master” Leo turned to Khalid, having a displeased look on.
“From the results, there is indeed a problem. During her first attempt, whatever she had taken didn’t really work, but they must’ve hurt the child a little. So, at this point, it’s very delicate and if any other attempt is made to remove the child, it’s definitely going to endanger her life and worst, affect her wo.mb” .
Octavia’s lips opened partly in shock, but she closed them up immediately she confirmed Khalid was staring at her.
“So, you mean…the child cannot be removed at the moment?” Khalid asked.
“It can,Master. But if we try it, it’s definitely going to endanger the mother’s life. So,it’s medically advisable not to give it a try” Leo answered bitterly and took his gaze to the floor.
Dmn this!
Khalid turned around and faced his table, his hands fisting it tight
A long silence stepped in, then he said:
“I need to be alone”.
Leo shot Octavia one final stare before leaving the room and Octavia, sluggishly she left the bed and walked out as well, feeling so nervous.

She walked carefully so the shirt doesn’t just fly up and expose all her body. And with each steps she took, panic followed it.
The baby cannot be removed – those words kept replaying in her head.
Oh God! Could this be something she should be happy for? She felt a little scared.
She was just totally confused. A part of her wanted to get rid of this baby due to how scared she was of the circumstances, but another part badly wanted to keep it – give birth to it, see what it would look like and watch it grow.
But would she be able to embrace motherhood? She felt so young and wondered on how she’d be able to cope with motherhood, and in this condition? Would she have to give birth there in the clan? And what would happen after that?
Oh God! It’s going to be a long journey. Was she ready for it?
