“Hold her carefully! Be careful with the legs!” Mica yelled as two boys rushed Octavia towards Leo’s room.
The floors were getting mapped with bIood as they ran and the whole thing was driving Mica nuts.
Octavia kept groaning and almost turning even as the boys held her. Her hands were on her tummy the whole time.
“Help me…Help me…” She muttered unconsciously, her weak hands holding her tummy.
Her face was wet and Mica couldn’t understand if they were tears or sweet. She just couldn’t understand.
They approached Leo’s room and the door went open even before they got there. Leo stepped out immediately.
“Good fk! What happened?!” He yelled in fright, but there was not time to explain as they ran pass him, taking Octavia into the room.
“Lay her carefully” Mica said as they made Octavia lie on the bed, but she was too restless.
“What the he.ll is this? What happened to her?” Leo half yelled, completely abacked at the te.rrible state she was in.
“I was just passing by when I heard someone screaming. I rushed towards the direction and found her this way on the floor” one of the boys explained.
“Goodness! This is very b.ad!” Leo exclaimed and started running around immediately, trying to get the needed things
“Help me… Please” Octavia mumbled with her eyes closed.

A smile lingered on Becca’s lips as she laid her head on Khalid’s chest who was soundly sleeping, picturing what would’ve been going on by now.
Probably, Octavia would be in Leo’s room, having her bIood cleaned up and the remaining fo.etus removed.
She gave a long hard laugh in mind. Oh! If only she could laugh it out. She really wanted to.
There was a knock on the door and Khalid’s eyes napped open immediately.
Huh? How can just a slight knock wake him up, huh – Becca thought.
“Who’s it?” Khalid asked as he sat up, brushing his fingers into his hair.
“It’s Draco” the masculine voice replied from outside.
Becca bit her lower lip, guessing he was probably there to deliver the news of Octavia to him.
Hmph. Why should he pester him with such irrelevant news?
“Put some cIothes on” Khalid told her as he left the bed and reached for his tro.user, putting it on.
Well, since Becca didn’t have cIothes yet, she reached for her to.wel and tied it round her chest. Then sat back on the bed.
“Come in, Draco” Khalid further said and the door opened, revealing Draco who had a troubled look on.
“Whar is it?”
“Master… There’s been a little problem with Octavia” Khalid couldn’t tell why his brows snapped.
“She was found a while ago, screaming on the floor with bIoodstains all over her Iegs. She’s currently with Leo now” He added and lowered his gaze.
A sharp feeling ran across Khalid’s chest as he turned away from him to face the table where his drinks, glasses and cigarettes were.
“What… happened to her?” He asked,not turning around.
“We don’t know yet, Master. We still haven’t heard from her”. Draco replied.
Suddenly, Khalid turned and looked at Becca, and her cheeks flushed.
Huh? Why’s he looking at her?
It was only a short stare tho as he quickly turned around and headed for his wadrobe,pulling out a shirt.
“Take me to her” he ordered and Draco bowed and left the room before him.
Mica was the only one left in the room as Leo worked on Octavia. She couldn’t help but panick as she stared at her sister. Would she ever recover from this?
“Do you think…the baby’s still in there?” She asked, but Leo didn’t reply as he concentrated in between her Iegs.
Octavia’ was still turning restlessly. Leo had actually tried to make her sleep, but it wasn’t working out as she only acted dizzy and turned uncomfortably from side to side – slowly.
“My baby…” She mo.aned at several intervals.
Shortly, the door opened and it was Khalid’ and Draco. Mica sprang on her feet immediately and bowed her head.
Phew! His presence actually gave her a little fright.
He looked like someone who’d come there in a hurry as the upper buttons of his shirt were open, exposing a little of his heavily tattoed chest.
“Master Khalid! Good evening” Leo stood up and bowed as well.
Octavia’s brows knitted when she heard the name – Khalid.
A little energy vibrated through her system.
“Go on, Leo. You shouldn’t stop” Khalid said and Leo returned to his seat at once.
“Good evening, Master” Mica also greeted feebly and moved away from her seat so he could take it.
And he did.
“How’s she?” He asked Leo as he sat on the seat in front of the bed, very close to Octavia.
“I can’t tell for now, Master. I still don’t know the state of the baby. But she lost a lot of bIood” Leo replied, his eyes fixed on the part he was working on.
“Khalid…” Octavia mumbled breathlessly, her head swivelling from left to right.
Mica gasped, because she wasn’t meant to address him by his name.
“Khalid…” She mumbled again, moving her hand on the side of the bed, like she was searching for hi.
Khalid noticed and slowly, reached for her hand and took it into his palm.
“Octavia…” He called back. “What happened to you?”
“I don’t know” she answered faintly and restlessly. “There was a lady…made me fall…Made me scream… She hurt me”
She was helplessly gibbering. .
“Hey, it’s okay. You can tell me about it later” Khalid cooed and she let out a light groan.
“My baby…Our baby…So hurt. My waist hurts…My body hurts… everywhere. Not good for me” she still continued gibbering and Khalid glanced at Leo.
“Don’t you have something to make her sleep?” He asked.
“I’ve tried to, Master, but it’s not working out. She just remains this way” he replied.
Khalid lifted Octavia’s hand in his so they were almost touching his jaws. He figured he had to do it himself.
“Sleep Octavia, you need to” He whispered.
Her unsteadiness was beginning to die down as strong waves of diziness began hitting hard at her.
“I feel so dizzy” she pouted.
She was just like a kid – and cute.
“Please Khalid… Don’t leave me. Please…Stay here” her words were cut off as she finally went into sleep.

“Are you sure nobody saw you?” Becca asked as she stood in her room with the girls.
“Of course, I’m sure. As soon as I heard footsteps, I ran away. Besides, remember I disguised my face. So, even if someone had seen me, they wouldn’t even recognize me” the lady replied and Becca breathed in relief.
The look she had seen on Khalid’s face when he looked at her – they had been so scary and frightened her and she didn’t want to imagine what would happen when he gets to know she disobeyed him by hurting Octavia. Khalid could be very crazy – she knows.
“The baby should be out already, right?” She asked, referring to no one in particular.
“Yes. She had been bIeeding a lot. I doubt the baby would survive in that condition” the lady replied and Becca took in another breath.
Well, for the mother’s sake, the baby had better been de.ad.

Khalid was standing in front of the window, just staring into space. Octavia was still asleep and Mica and Leo were out of the room. Well, he ordered them to.
Leo had said there was a possibility the baby was still in there. He could feel it, but when he placed his hand on her tummy, he couldn’t hear the baby’s heartbeat.
In the end, he advised a medical X-ray so they could have a view of the child.
Khalid was still thinking about the whole thing when he heard a slight movement on the bed and turned to find Octavia awake.
“Khalid…” She called weakly, still making the same mistake.
Khalid walked from the window to the bed and sat in front of her.
“You’re awake” his voice was cold.
Octavia moved her hand to her forehead, feeling it’s hotness
Gosh! Her temperature felt so high.
“The baby…is it gone?” She looked at Khalid and asked, and he sighed and held her palm.
“You shouldn’t be worried about that. Right now, you need to get well. There’s no time” he told her.
“I know… I’m trying…” She groaned painfully.
“It hurts…so bad”.
“You need to try, Octavia. We’ll be leaving for camp a day after tomorrow. You can’t go there in this state” he almost queried.
“I know… I’m sorry” she winced.
A short silence stepped in, then she mumbled:
“Apples”.
Khalid’s brows arched.
“If I… If I get well, will you buy me some apples? And…this time around, I want you…to…to take me out and buy them yourself. Will you do it?”

If only she was in her right senses, she’d have known she was asking for a death wish.
But, Khalid chuckled anyways and replied:
“Of course, I will. As soon as you get better today”.
