Becca’s anger knew no bounds as she watched Mica walk away.
The he.ll! That was the first time Mica was ever talking back at her. Although, she’s known Mica to be fierce and stubborn in the camp, but she’s never disrespected or spoken back at her. So, why this?
Anger vibrated through her
She took some steps forward and found her standing in front Khalid’s room. Was he going to let her in? He said he didn’t want to see anyone, right? So definitely, she should be sent away and on her way back, she was going to pull her away and give her a strict warning need to think of threatening her – ever again.
She watched as Mica spoke with the guards. Next, Santa walked in and by the time he returned, he ushered Mica to go in.
Whaaat???
Becca’s eyes dimmed. What the he¢k??!? How could they…How could they let her in when she wasn’t allowed to?
What is going on?

Mica walked into the room, her eyes glued to the floor.
She met Khalid coming-out of the balcony, a tobacco pipe in his hand as usual.
“Good evening, Master” she bowed her head and greeted immediately.
Oh damn! Look what Octavia has done to her. How on earth does she deliver the message to Khalid?
“Mica. What is it?” Khalid asked gruffly.
He was shirtless and Mica had to fight every possible temptation not to stare at his chest because they were killing.
“Um…Master” she paused and cleared her throat.
Her eyes were still dancing around the floor.
“Actually, I… I wouldn’t want to pester you. But…you see,” she paused and sighed.
“My sister is feeling a lot better. And.. she’s been on my neck…telling me…. to…let you know she’s ready to go get the apples and bananas”
She felt a huge burden being lifted off her shoulders as soon as she said those words.
Oh! Dmn you, Octavia! And now, she’s waiting for the response.
Khalid looked at her and scoffed.
“What do you mean apples and bananas?” He asked. “She only talked about apples”.
Mica gulped hard.
“Um…well, I… I don’t know. But that’s what she told me” she replied.
Was Octavia trying to get her into trouble? Why the heck is she mixing the words?
Khalid turned away from her, going to pour himself some drink.
For a while, he was silent and Mica wondered what was possibly going through his mind. Maybe, this was a bad idea.
“Well, tell her to get ready and come over” she suddenly heard Khalid say and her heart beamed.
Huh? She should come over? So, he accepted?
Urgh! Thank goodness.
“Okay Master” she bowed. “Thank you so much”.
And without hesitation, she turned around and left.

Octavia had been waiting impatiently in the room. The cravings were getting pretty much and shs felt she might not survive it if she didn’t eat those apples in the next 39 minutes.
She’s been staring at the window the whole time, looking out for when Mica would show up. But there was no trace of her. And becoming tired, she decided to rest her waist and sit on the bed.
It wasn’t long after then before the door opened and her eyes snapped open to see Mica.
“Hah!” She gasped as curiousity took over.
“Mica, did you see him? How was it? Wh… What did he say?” She asked anxiously and Mica rolled her eyes.
“Just get your sorry ass to his room and stop questioning me” Mica replied z but Octavia only looked confused.
“His room?” She repeated. “But why do I still have to go to his room? Wasn’t that the reason I asked you to go for me?”
“Well, are you gonna get the apples here in the room?! He said you should get ready and come over to his room so you two can go get the apples!”
“Oh…” Octavia mumbled and stared down at the floor.
Ah! And now she’s really gonna face him.
“But..did he look angry?” Sbe asked, her sparkling eyes staring at Mica’s.
“I don’t know. Maybe he’s angry, but wouldn’t say it out. Either ways, just go to him if you still want the apples” she replied and went ahead to continue fixing the clothes on the bed.
Octavia bit her lower lip and stood up.
“Okay. Um… Mica, how do I look?” She twirled in front of the mirror. “Do you think this gown is good enough for me? Or I should put on trousers instead?”
“It’s fine” Mica answered with another eye roll.
“Okay. And um .. My hair…do you think I should…”
“Octavia, it’s just apples. You’re not going on a date” Mica cut her off.
“Whatever. Can you stop being jealous?” She rolled her eyes and Mica gasped.
“Oh!! So, now you think you can talk back at me? How dare you say that to me, Octavia? Huh? Because you’re pregnant, you think I can’t beat you up?” She took one of the clothes from the bed and threw it at Octavia.
Octavia chuckled.
“These apples are more important to me, Mica. I have a feeling you’re trying to stall me. So, bye” she started towards the door and just as she opened it and was about stepping out, Mica took another cloth from the bed and threw at her.
Octavia laughed as she got out and locked the door.
Hmm. And now, to Khalid’s room.
She walked levelly, walking like she was counting her steps.
As she had gotten to the stairs, she suddenly paused, recalling what had happened earlier on and how someone tried to hurt her.
Who could that lady be? And why does something in her guts tell keep telling her Becca had something to do with it?
Oh geez! The mere thoughts alone was making her scared. Trying to hurt the baby was putting her life at risk as well. Why wouldn’t they just let her be, huh?
Taking a deep breath, she took the stairs, making sure to hurriedly climb it and when she had gotten to the last step, she took in a deep breath and proceeded to the Master’a room.

In no time, she was there and without delay, the guards actually let her in.
Hmm. It seems Khalid had told them about her already.
She walked into the room and found Khalid in front of the mirror.
Oh…Holy…God.
She froze.
She released a light gasp as she stared at the image in front of her, the image standing in front of the mirror.
For goodness sake, she’s never seen Khalid that cute before!
He was putting on a black trouser and black long sleeve shirt, leaving the upper buttons exposed – as usual.
His hair looked darker and curly, his eyes had that cold dark look that fitted him so perfectly, and his lips..
Oh goodness! What was wrong with her?
And to think of it…she was carrying his child!
Khalid noticed how she stared at him from the mirror and arched a brow.
“Octavia” he called, trying to get back her attention from wherever it might be. .
“I thought you said you needed just apples? Why did Mica mention bananas?”
Octavia swallowed hard. Huh?
Oh! She hadn’t even greeted him
“G… Good evening, Master” she stuttered a little
“I’m…I’m sorry, but… I didn’t tell Mica I needed bananas. I mean, I’d only told her I just wanted to eat them. I didn’t tell her to tell you as well”
Khalid watched her from the mirror as she struggled for words. Something in his guts wanted him to laugh hard at her, but he didn’t.
He left the mirror and took a gold chain from the table and as he wore it round his neck, he gave Octavia a quick stare – from her head to toe. .
Octavia was almost tempted to look into at herself as well. Was soemthing wrong with her outfit?
“Okay. Let’s go” Khalid said in a deep sigh and started towards the door and Octavia, feeling so nervous, followed after him.
Why he was looking so hot and cute, huh? Like he was actually going for a party? And here she was – looking like a chef.
Hmph. Something tells her he didn’t like her outfit. And it was all Mica’s fault. Mica told her she was good to go, right?
As they got out the door, the guards on post followed them immediately.
Octavia could feel her head swelling really bad. She was walking behind Khalid, and Khalid’s guards were behind her.
She giggled at her own thoughts.
The people they came across kept bowing to Khalid, but Octavia felt they were bowing to her as well. So, she secretly waved at them – like she was responding to their greetings.
She laughed silently again at her actions.
Finally, they got to the garage and Khalid’s men got ready to use the other cars.
“I don’t want company” he suddenly said, and they all stopped to look at him.

Surprise and confusion ran through their faces. Why would Khalid want go out alone?
He collected the car keys, opened the doors and got into the car with Octavia.
