Octavia stopped Immediately, turning back to look at her.
Her eyes were heavy and red.
Sapphire bent her head and wept more, her fingers sinking deep into her ruffled hair.
“I…. I had no idea” she whimpered, her voice cracking feafully.
“I had no idea Khalid was behind it, Octavia. All those while…I thought it was Tabitha”.
Octavia watched silently
She could recall the pains in Khalid’s eyes when he narrated the story to her the previous day. The pains that’d hurt her terribly.
“For so many years,I harboured nothing but hatred towards him, thinking he was just like his father” Sapphire continued.
“And when I heard of the terrible things he’s done in the clan…”
“Khalid didn’t chose to be what he is today” Octavia cut in gruffly, taking a step closer to her.
“He grew up in darkness and had no other choice but to continue in it.
“Look, there isn’t time for a debate. If you want to help him, you have to do it now”.
Sapphire sniffed and stood up immediately.
Her heart was almost too heavy for her chest to contain.
“The bond….” She began. “was created when Khalid was born. I made the bond, and to break it….I need to die”.
Octavia arched her brows.
“What’re you talking about?” She scoffed and Sapphire hesitated a little before proceeding.
“It’s in my wrist, Octavia. And to break the bond, I need to cut my wrist open. Definitely, there’s no way I can survive that”. She explained and Octavia turned around to back her.
Oh God…!
“There has to be a way” she winced. There needs…to be a way”.
Sapphire smiled ruefully and took up a broken piece of glass from the floor.
“There’s no other way, Octavia…” She stated glumly.

“Moscow?” Mica repeated and stood up. “What’re you talking about? Who ki.lled him??”
“We don’t know yet, Mica. He was just found dead at a hidden spot a while ago. Someone stabbed him” Draco replied, watching the expression on Mica’s face.
“The he.ll…” She mumbled and took some steps away.
Moscow was dead?? For fk sake? What could’ve happened to him? Who could’ve possibly sta.bbed him?
“B…but it couldn’t be Octavia, right?” She turned to Draco and asked, her eyes dimming.
“Well” he sighed. “I really can’t tell, Mica. It could’ve been anyone. We don’t know yet” he replied and Mica leaned against the wall. Why was a lot of things going wrong lately huh? What’s happening??
She had the urge to break down, recalling the so much trouble her sister was into already. What the he.ll was she doing?
“Hey, come here” Draco cooed and pulled her into a hug and this time around, she couldn’t resist.

In Khalid’s room
The three plump looking men stood as they supervised the work being there.
“It’s such a pity. He was actually the winner of the elections” One of them mumbled regrettably to the other.
“He’d have been a perfect leader – cold and ruthless. It’s indeed a pity” the other seconded.
The boys in the room took up the white sheet and moved closer to Khalid who was lying lifeless on the bed. He’d been confirmed dead already and arrangements had been made to move his body away.
“Are you sure we should be doing this?” One of the men asked. “Maybe we should give him a little more time”.
“A little more time for what, Antonio?” The other countered. “the boys did their Best already, but nothing could be done. You were here, right?”
“Hold on…!” One of the boys suddenly snapped, his eyes going wide in shock.
They stopped taking immediately as they looked at him.
“What is the problem, Josh?”
“I don’t know, but I… I think I just saw him move a finger” the Josh replied with eyes well dilated in shock.

“Huh? What’re you talking about, Josh? What do you mean he…”
The man was suddenly cut off with a gasp from Khalid, followed by some items on the table, crashing to the floor.
Whaaat??? He’s awake!!
