I never in my life thought that this day would come,i was beyond speechless,the person who happens to be my mother is standing right in front of me after so many years.
Memories of the night she left me with my then sober dad came rushing,along with the anger.
“What.the. h*ell.are.you.doing here?” I said so slowly but with anger.
She tried to come close to me but i backed away.
“Wait..hold up,are you trying to hug me?”
Is she being serious right now? She is trying to hug me like she doesn’t know how fcking angry i am.
“Claribel,my dear,you are so grown up,you..
“Don’t fcking call me dear,what are you doing here? After so many years, you finally decided to come back after destroying dad’s life” Adrian held my hands and squeezed trying to make me calm down.
“No, Adrian, don’t try to calm me down because i can’t calm down,this person standing here can’t just walk into my life like nothing happened”
“Claribel, please i just need you to relax and listen to me,i came back for you”
“No, you came back because you were fcking tired of selling your body out”
“Claribel” Adrian cautioned me but am not going to listen,she hurt me and am going to make her feel everything i felt.
“I know you are angry at me but i just need you to listen to me,Am sorry, honey,am really sorry”
“Look,Bethel, I have nothing to say to you,go back to whatever sh*t h0le you came out of” She was taken aback by the way I called her by her first name.
She was about to say something when the back door of her car opened and a boy of about 12 years came out.
“Mom,can i see my step sister now?” He just called her mom, meaning.. oh my goodness
“Is he..is he..
“My son, yes,his name is Trevor and he is my son,your step brother” I scoffed,She can’t be serious.
“Who is the father? Is it Christian?” She nodded positively, Christian was my dad’s best friend and a colleague at work,he was the one who framed my dad up and got him fired.
“Hold up,this child of yours is how old?”
“12”
“12 years ago is the exact time you left us,So you are saying you were already pregnant while you were still with dad” She nodded slowly,that means my father was right,she cheated on him.
She cheated on him and she’s back here with a fcking kid who she claims to be my step brother.
“Dad was right about you, everything he said was true,You are a f!lthy wh0re” i walked back to Adrian’s car and got in.

I have always known that Claribel has alot of hatred for her mother,i just didn’t know that it was so huge,she practically detests her.
I have never seen her look at someone with so much hatred,i can’t blame her,She had to survive on her own when her abandoned her.
I followed behind as she walked back to the car,I got in and drove off.
Claribel kept looking out the window as i drove back home.
“You know i thought you would be crying by now”
“Am not going to cry because of that sk@nk”
“Claribel, she’s still your mother, don’t call her names” She rolled her eyes at me.
“I can call her whatever i want,Adrian,She left us for some lowlife,so that makes her a sk@nk” I placed my hand on her thighs but she pushed it off.
“Don’t touch me,am not in the mood”
“I was just trying to comfort you”
“You can’t, no one can,i need a drink.. There’s a bar not far from us, I want to go there”
“No,i can’t let you start drinking”
“Well,i want to, it’ll help me forget everything”
“For only today, when you get sober, the memories will still be there, Claribel, Don’t be like your father” She sighed and ran her fingers through her hair.
“Well,i need to do something to get my mind off her”
“We can go to the garden”

“Are you going to talk to her?” Shannon asked as i was taking my books from my locker.
“No,never,she should go back to her precious family because there’s no way in h*ell that I will talk to her”
“I just..i don’t know think you should at least know why she left” I slammed my locker very hard earning attention from other people
“She was fcking my father’s best friend while she was still with my dad, that’s why she left”
Shannon was about to say something when i heard someone call me.
“Claribel” I turned around and it was the sl*t with the school’s security guard.
“What in f*cks name are you doing here?”
“To talk to you”
“Are you dumb or you are just playing stupid”
“Claribel,Stop” Shannon said but i flipped her off.
“Don’t you see that am in school and how did you know i attend this school?”
“I did my research”
“Of course,you did..now get out”
“Claribel, please,i..
“I don’t want to hear it”
“Miss Johnson, She said she’s your mother,is that true?” The security guard asked.
“That is not true,Sir..We might want to look alike but she’s not my mother,my mom died a long time ago” I walked away leaving Shannon behind.
She lost every right to be my mother that day she left me.
