HOURS LATER
The school finally came to a close and everyone started going home.
Immediately I stepped out of the class, guess who I saw?
Mrs Tamara!
What the hell is she doing here?
All the students around all looked at her in surprise and mumbled to each other.
But she kept staring at me.
Then surprisingly, she walked up to me.
Oh, God!
What does she want?
I kept staring at her as she stood in front of me, not knowing what to say.
“Alyssa” she finally called, her voice coming out soft and pained.
“Mrs…Mrs Tamara?” I also called
I can’t believe she even have the boldness to talk to me again.
She sighed and looked at the floor.
“I’m so sorry Alyssa, for what happened. I know you must think I’m a horrible person, but believe me, I didn’t do it. I never poisoned the drink” she said, making me gobsmacked.
So she’s still denying it? What is she even thinking?
“I never had any bad intentions when I gave you that drink” she continued.
“I had really wanted to apologise to you and I sincerely don’t know how it got poisoned. But one thing is for sure; the poison wasn’t from me.
“I know I had treated you badly in the past and that was why I was advised to apologise to you with a drink and that was exactly what I did. But sadly enough, it made me look like a traitor.”
Wait; she was advised by someone?
Who was it?
Could it be possible…
I rose my eyes to look at her.
“Mrs Tamara” I called. “You…you were advised by someone?”
“Yes. The person had seen how badly I treated you and had advised me to apologise to you, giving you a drink; something you’d love.
So I bought the drink and did exactly as I was told, but it backfired on me”.
My heart was now racing fast.
Could it be possible…
“Who was it?” I asked curiously.
