(Preparing for prom)
Episode 33
The prom night is going to be her last night on earth because that’s the night I’ll be executing my plan.
So, wait for it.
Alyssa’s Pov:
“And what do you mean you won’t be going to school today?” Mother asked me as I stood in the sitting room with her while she dressed Maja up for school.
“Have you been expelled or what?” She asked.
“I told you, mum; I’m just having a slight headache and don’t feel like going today” I replied, pouting my lips.
This woman should just let me rest.
“And Jake had told me you returned home yearsterday in a towel and jacket. What the hell happened?” She continued and I rolled my eyes.
“I was…It was nothing mum. Don’t mind Jake”.
She looked at me and hissed.
‘Anyway, that’s your business. Since you won’t be going to school, I want you to do a thorough clean up at home today.
Make sure you sweep the whole environment, trim the flowers at the backyard…”
Seriously? Are those flowers? Those things that looks like decayed herbs?
Mico’s Pov:
I came out of my car in the school garage and Alexa ran to me immediately before I could order my guards to stop her.
Does this lady really want to die?
“Mico…” she called pathetically.
“What do you want Alexa? I thought I made it crystal clear when I asked you to stay away from me?” I asked angrily, not minding the students around.
“Mico please, we need to talk” she said, trying to hold my hands but I pushed hers away.
“Get away from me. We have nothing to talk about”
“But I don’t understand! What have I done Mico? Why do you suddenly dislike me this much?”
“I don’t dislike you Alexa, I hate you! Now stay away from me before I do something stupid”.
I tried walking away but she tried holding me and then I pushed her to the floor.
The students around gasped and started taking pictures immediately and she busted into tears and ran off immediately.
Serves her right.
HOURS LATER
This Alyssa is really crazy. I can’t believe she didn’t even show up in school today.
What a crazy date I’ve gotten for myself.
I was sitting all alone in the school garden when I sighted my sisters and cousins coming my way and thought of a way to leave.
I’ve been avoiding them since the previous day because I wasn’t ready to start answering their hectic questions.
I stood up with my phones and tried sneaking out through the back but surprisingly, when I got there, I found Michael standing there already, folding his hands and glaring at me.
“You can’t run away from your sins, son” he told me and I flinched.
I thought he had been with their Karen?
I looked back and Karen and the rest had entered.
Oh, God!
“We need to talk Mico…”
“Please girls; not now, okay?” I cut them off.
“Seriously, Mico? Who’s Alyssa to you? And how the hell did she end up as your date to prom?”
I rolled my eyes and tried walking out again but they all held me back and took me to a seat.
Gracious.
“Tell us Mico. We want to know.”
“Why did you chose Alyssa?”
“Who’s she to you?”
Karen, Olivia and Octavia all asked at the same time.
“Listen to me, I just had a random pick, okay? That’s it.”
“Really? A random pick? And she became the lucky one?” Angelo asked.
“The same way she was lucky to have a scholarship? And a free registration into the young miss beauty contest?” Michael also asked and I shook my head.
“I can smell fish around here, Mico. So spill it out”
“Well if you can smell fish, then go ahead and look for it”.
I tried walking away again but they still held me back.
Fine!
I don’t think I’m getting out of this today.
Alexa’s Pov:
“Oh, my God, you mean Mico pushed you?” Jeenly and Aj asked in surprise as we sat in an empty class.
I remained silent, wiping my face with a napkin.
“But what has gotten into Mico? Why’s he suddenly treating you this way?” Aj asked.
“At first, he had asked you out on a date, but all of a sudden, he didn’t show up and his attitude towards you drastically changed. ”
“And to make it worst, he decided to make Alyssa his date to prom in the presence of everyone. Something is definitely fishy”.
They continued talking and talking while I just remained silent.
I was so bittered.
“So who’s going to be your date to prom, alexa? Will you be going for Jeremy?” Jeenly asked and I left my seat and went to stand in front of the window.
I crossed my hands and took in a deep breath.
“Alyssa can be Mico’s date to prom” I said.
“I know she has something to do with Mico’s change in attitude towards me. And I promise her, she’s going to pay for it.
I’ll make her know what’s it’s like to be hated by Mico.
I’m going to make that prom the worst night of her life and when I’m done, Mico’s going to hate her so much that he might even end up expelling her from the school.”
“Wow, Alexa” Aj exclaimed.
“What do you have in mind?”
I scoffed and looked at her.
“Well, let’s just say it’s a surprise”.
