Anyway, I heard his birthday was coming up in a week or so.
Finally; I can’t wait.
“You said you wanted to see me?” He asked and I twitched a little.
“uh…y…yes, sir.
I…I yum…” I paused and itched my head.
This is so not easy.
“About your proposal, I wanted to tell you I had accepted”.
He paused and looked at me.
“What proposal?” He asked, making me a little muddled.
“Uh…T…The date to prom” I replied.
“And whoever said I was still interested?” He asked and my heart gave a mighty leap.
What is he talking about?
I looked at him and he was looking back at me and I quickly lowered my gaze to the floor.
Please Lord, this should be a dream.
“You…”
“I gave you an opportunity but you ran away from it. So, I took that for a no” he interrupted me and I swear, I suddenly had the urge to cry.
I bent my head and sniffed, trying not to let the tears drop.
“I’m…I’m sorry. I was just…” I paused and sniffed again.
It was coming as a heartbreak to me.
Well, it was all my fault.
If only I hadn’t run away from it at first.
Now, it was too late.
Oh, my Mico; it’d had really been an honor being his date to prom.
“I just thought…you might still be interested” I looked up at him and said and he took his eyes back to his phone.
He didn’t say anything again and I slowly stood up with my bag and turned around to leave.
I can’t even imagine the way I’m going to cry when I get home.
I’ll just lock the door and swallow the keys.
“You don’t need to worry about your dress, hair or outfit” I suddenly heard him say.
“They will all be taken care of by me. And I’ll also be sending a car to pick you up”. he added.
My eyes beamed as I turned to look at him.
Was I still dreaming?
He released a little smile as he stood up and walked away.
