“Oh my God! Is that lucas?” Olivia shrieked.
“Oh my! He looks so charming in this outfit” Karen said.
“Hell be a perfect date for prom” Octavia also said.
“Karen, must you crush on every single guy you see?” Angelo asked and she furrowed her brows at him.
“And what do you mean by that? Have u crushed on you before?” She asked.
“Well, I’m sure you are, but you just won’t admit it. If you go on this way, there’s no way you’re going to have a steady relationship”.
“Oh! Love counsellor! And look who’s talking about steadiness ih relationships as if you have one”
“Of course I do…”
“Cut it out, Angelo. My phone battery lasts longer than your relationships”.
I cracked and laughed and Angelo grinned at me. He kept quiet.
That ws it. Karen was good when it came to insult.
“By the way, Mico, whom do you think its going to win the inter-school young miss beauty?” Michael asked with a piece of bread in his mouth.
“Uhm…I…don’t really know. Maybe Alexa” I replied as I poured some egg sauce into my plate.
“Alexa?” Octavia asked.
“What makes you think it’s going to be her? Because she’s your friend?”
“She isn’t my friend. Whatever. I just think she’s not enough”
“Well, Lily’s hotter than her” .
“I totally disagree. Alexa is the best” Michael said, raising his right hand.
“Not the best. You didn’t even talk of Chloe”.
“And Daisy”.
“I think Lily’s the one who’ll be bold enough to be a representative of Manilla. You know the winner is going to face other representatives from the other cities in the country. So…”

“Yes, and Chloe”.

“What’s this noise all about?” I heard mums voice and I turned to see her climbing down the stairs.
“Where re your table manners?” She asked as she sat next to me.
“I think I left mine in the room” Karen said and I laughed.

Mum played with my hair and took out a slice of bread.
“By the way, Mico, who’s going to be your date to prom?” Olivia asked and I coughed.
