Alyssa’s Pov continues:
I shut my eyes and prayed this was a dream.
I can’t let Jeremy see me; not now.
I heard his footsteps, but suddenly, I think his Phone started ringing and he stopped walking.
“Yes?” I heard him say on the phone.
“No.
Okay. Send it to me and I’ll forward it to my brother.
“Yes, I’ll be coming home tomorrow evening…”
Oh, my God!
Did he just say he was going home by tomorrow?
So, he does have a home?
And a brother?
Guessing he was already distracted, I took to my heels and started running away.
“Hey, who’s that?” I heard one of his friends ask after me, but I didn’t stop to look at them.
I kept running until I had left the area and gotten to a safe place and mistakenly, I bumped into Mico who was coming towards my direction.
“Alyssa” he called surprised as he held me and I inhaled deeply.
“Are you alright?” He asked, looking into my face.
I sighed and looked around.
There was no way I was being followed.
“I…I’m sorry, I was just…” I paused and cleared my throat.
“I was just looking for you.
Come on, let’s go” I added quickly and held his hand and he followed after a little reluctancy.
Gosh!
That was so scary.
It’s a good thing I wasn’t caught.
I followed mico and he led me to his lounge.
Wow! It was so beautiful.
“Why didn’t you just stay together with your cousins?” I asked as I sat on the big bed.
“Nothing. Just feel like having some privacy.” he replied and opened his wardrobe.
I sat and watched as he looked for some clothes to wear.
What privacy could he be talking about?
But come to think of it, mico hasn’t asked for the usual stuff yet.
Since we started dating, he hasn’t brought it up.
could it be possible he’s actually looking for a way to bring it up?
Gosh!
what would my reaction be?
I don’t think I’m ready for s*x.
I mean, I’ve never done it before and I have no idea how its going to be like.
He finally found something nice to wear and he went into the bathroom to get changed.
“How does this look?” He asked as he came out, already putting it on.
“It’s lovely” I replied with a smile.
I was already putting on a long red gown and blue heels.
Then, he walked up to me and stretched out his hand.
“Shall we?” He asked and I smiled and placed my hand on his and we started walking out together.
We arrived at the venue of the party which was taking place In a big and beautiful hall.
A lot of people were already there, drinking and chatting.
Mico was still holding my hands as we walked in and the people around couldn’t help but steal envious glances at us.
He took me to a table and not long after, his cousins came to us.
“Hey, MicAl; wats up?” Angelo said and I chuckled.
“We’re fine” Mico replied, rolling his eyes.
“Hi, Angelo; Michael” I greeted with a wave and Michael waved back at me stylishly.
“Where are your sisters?” I asked, scouring my eyes around.
“Oh! They’re probably looking for handsome boys to hook up with” Angelo replied and I smiled.
Just then, the lady in suit that had welcomed me when I first arrived came up to me again.
“Hi, miss Alyssa; sorry to ruin the moment, but I’d like you to come with me” she said genially and I looked at Mico who gave me the go ahead nod before walking with the lady.
She took me to the back of the stage where I met other contestants and there, we were given ribbons with our different states on it.
On mine was written: “the representative of Manilla”
Then next, we were all called out on stage and asked to stand on a straight Line.
The students applauded us as we did and we all introduced our names and the states we were representing.
After we were done, I tried going back to Mico, but on the way, two ladies came in front of me and stopped me.
“Hey, Mrs Mico”.
“Hi” they both said at the same time, smiling.
I looked at them and wondered whom they were.
One was kind of short and the other was slim and pretty.
“Uhm…hi” I said to both of them.
They were both hot-looking and wore short dresses.
“Gd evening, Alyssa. I’m Suzy” the short one said.
“And I’m pretty Ivy” the slim pretty one said.
Okay.
How does that have to concern me?
“We heard you’re Mico Salvatore’s girlfriend. And we like you for that. Come on, let’s have a walk” Suzy said and I scoffed.
“Uhm…I’m sorry, but I’m looking for someone” I replied and tried walking away.
“Who’s it? Mico?
Come on, girl. He’s probably at the fire camp. Let’s go together” ivy said and held my hand and made me walk out with them.
God!
“We’ve been looking for you since we heard you arrived, Alyssa” Suzy said as we walked to the fire camp.
“You’re so lucky to be with someone like Mico.
He’s always been our crush” she said dreamily and I smiled.
“Tell us, Alyssa; what does it feel like being so close to him?” Ivy asked.
“Yes. How do his lips taste?”
“How do you feel when he touches you?”
“How does it feel like in bed?”
“Yes! Is he sweet? Or boring?”
I opened my mouth in awe as I stared at them with disbelieve.
What a spoilt brat.
“Come on Alyssa. Talk to us.
We want to know” Ivy said curiously and nudged me.
What do they want me to say?
“Uh…Mico and I…we Haven’t…”
“You haven’t what?” Suzy cut in.
“You haven’t had s*x?” Ivy completed and I nodded shyly.
“Like seriously?
“So what have you guys been doing since then?” She asked.
“Uhm…nothing” I replied and shrugged and they stared at me awkwardly.
“Are you guys sisters?” I asked, hopefully trying to change the topic.
“No. We’re just friends. My father’s actually the one of the top organisers of this programme” Ivy said.
“Yup. And my father’s the CEO of the state’s police force” Suzy replied and my eyes beamed.
Really?
At that moment, we got to the fire camp and a lot of students were already there, playing, dancing and having fun.
There was a burning fire in the middle of the camp while the students gathered around it.
Where’s Mico?
“Come on, Alyssa; you’re too obsessed about this Mico of a guy. Don’t worry, you’re definitely going to see him” ivy said, noticing the way I had been looking around.
Then they made me sit on the floor with them.
“Well, what do you expect, Ivy?” Suzy said.
“If I had someone like Mico for a boyfriend, I’d definitely plant a CCTV camera on him”.
I cracked and laughed.
“Anyway, you’re right. But the truth is, despite the fact that I love Mico, I can never risk dating a celebrity” ivy said and I flinched and looked at her.
“Why?” I asked lowly.
“Well, it’s too risky. Celebrities find it hard to stick to a particular lady. So, after sex, they dump her and move on to another lady” she replied.
“Come on, ivy, what are you…”
“I’m serious, Suzy. Take Jeremy, for instance. Can’t you see how cute he is? But he’s a player”
Oh!
So they do know Jeremy.
“I’m not trying to make you feel bad, Alyssa. But you just need to be careful” she said but it couldn’t be of help
“Well…Mico loves me. So; I’m not scared” I said defensively.
“Well, you guys haven’t had sex yet, right?” She asked and I furrowed my brows.
What’s she trying to say?
She smiled and stood up.
“Maybe yours could be different, or not.
Anyways, good luck. I think I need a dance” she said and joined the crowd who were dancing noisily.
I kept looking into space as her words almost had ah effect on me.
“Come on Alyssa. Don’t give a thought to what Ivy said.
she can be such a killjoy at times” Suzy said and I smiled and nodded.
