‘I’m sorry Alyssa, but I need to be alone for now’, he said icily and the acrimony increased.
More tears came running down.
‘Mico, I…’
‘Please, Alyssa’, he cut me off and I covered my mouth with my palm and wept bitterly.
I stood for a while staring at him, but he still didn’t turn around to look at me.
Then I dropped the pictures on the bed and slowly turned around and left the room.
I ran into the elevator, still crying profusely. It hurt alot to know Mico was mad at me, and it hurt even more to know it was all my fault.
Maybe I shouldn’t have lied to him in the first place, or I shouldn’t have followed Jeremy and end up in this big mess.
What do I do now? I can’t have Mico staying mad at me. I can’t even believe he asked me to stay away from him.
Oh God!
The door of the elevator opened and I rushed out bumping ingto someone who was trying to get in.
‘Oh my!’ the woman exclaimed.
I looked and it was Mrs. Houston.
‘Alyssa’s?’ she called in surprise, and I lowered my gaze to the floor, still crying.
‘I’m… I’m sorry, Mrs. Houston… I was just in a hurry’, I said tearfully, and tried running away, but she held me back.
‘Hold on, Alyssa. What happened to you? Why are you like this?’, she asked, and I busted into more tears.
‘Oh dear, come on, talk to me’, she said in an endearing tone, holding me to herself and I buried my face in her chest.
THE UNKNOWN’S POV:

Finally!
I know you’ve all been wondering where I could have been all this while.
Well, I’ve been taking out time to put things in order and now, everything is set. It’s finally time for me to fully acquire what belongs to me and set Alyssa aside.
The plan is to abduct her, get her to sign the documents, and kill her.
Yes! And I’ll be using a well trusted gang for the job.
I’ve done business once with them before, and trust me, they never fail on a job. So, with the job in their hands, I know there’s no way I can be disappointed

I brought out my phone and dialed his line – the leader of the gang.
It rang and after some time, he picked up.
‘Hello?’ I said excitedly on the phone.
‘Yes? D.C; It’s me.
‘I’ve got a very important job for you.’
