I looked at him as he walked in and stood a little distance away and a tear escaped my eye.
Was this for real?
Jeremy was a gangster?
And he had abducted and brought me here?
But for what reason?
What have I done to them?
His brother stood up and turned to him.
“I’m leaving now, Jeremy. You know what to do” he told him and left the room.
It was just Jeremy and I and two other armed guys and he couldn’t even look at me.
“Bring her to the room” he said to the two boys and immediately, they Fred my hands and legs and dragged me up, leading me out of the empty place we were in.
Jeremy waited for us to go ahead and then he followed behind.
I was still transfixed in shock as the whole thing seemed to be happening too fast.
How could this happen?
Why did I have to fall into the hands of these people?
And why does it have to be Jeremy?
The two boys held me by the hand and led met through a long staircase and then we got into a room and they threw me in.
They left afterwards and Jeremy came in, but stood by the door.
I was shivering and soaked in fear.
Tears were pouring from my eyes.
I stood and stared at Jeremy, but he just kept his gaze on the floor.
Then he finally shut me a stare and turned to leave.
“Jeremy” I called tearfully and at the same time, shockingly and he stopped but didn’t turn around to look at me.
I continued weeping and whimpering and didn’t even know what to say.
Why does this have to happen to me?
“I’m sorry, Alyssa. But life always comes with surprises” he said under his breath and left the room.
I wept and tottered to the door and turned the knob, but it wouldn’t open.
It was obviously locked from outside.
There was a bed in the room and I wondered why it was there.
I hit the door with my palms, wishing someone would open it up. I wanted to get out of here.
“Please let me out” I cried and hit it again.
Then, II sat on the floor and huddled my arms and legs together, busting into more tears.
Why did such misfortune have to be fall me?
What have I done?
And how could Jeremy do this to me?
So this was who he really was?
No wonder he kept his background hidden from everyone.
Now, how am I sure I’m even getting out of here? What could they possibly want from me?
And what does his brother mean by it’ll all be over by tomorrow?
What’s going to happen tomorrow?
Are they going to kill me?
Oh, God!
What have I done?
Why me?
