Chapter 34
PARIS**
Valentina stood up from the seat in front of the vanity table. She looked at herself and smiled.
She was in a navy blue gown with short sleeves and which ended above her knees.
Her hair was curled up and then allowed to flow freely and with the light makeup on her face made her look so pretty!!
She looked at the time and it was 7PM, perfect timing. She picked up her assorted purse and walked out of her room.
Minnie and Myles were both playing video games in the living room when they saw Valentina come down
“Wow!!!! You look too beautiful nanny” Minnie gushed.
“Too beautiful to be true!!!” Myles said.
“This one that Myles is also complimenting you that means you’re ravishing. And they’re right!! Wow!!!” Ricardo said, coming downstairs.
He was dressed in a navy blue suit too with hair styled neatly to the side.
“We’ll be leaving now babies. Make sure to ask the maid to pack all your things in your bag. We’ll leave first thing tomorrow” Ricardo said.
“Okay daddy!” They chorused..
“Bye nanny, bye daddy”
“Bye!!” Valentina and Ricardo chorused and left…
They entered the car and the driver drove them to the reception.
In no time, they were already there. Uncountable guests were entering an leaving the hall dressed in their fancy clothes as well.
The photographers began taking pictures of Ricardo and Valentina as they got down the car…
Some reporters rushed to them but Ricardo’s guard prevented them from touching him. Some of his fans were there screaming his name like he was a popstar.
“Just look at all these girls dying behind him. He came and chose a nobody like me, makes me wonder if he’s serious” Valentina thought.
? Mr Thornton how is this collaboration going to be?
? Mr Thornton rumors have been going around. That you and yout secretary are a thing is that true?
? Mr Thornton what will your next invention be?
Ricardo turned and faced him. He stretched his hand to her. Valentina slowly placed her hand on his..
“Let’s go” He said and left the way in the hotel.
Various of his gadgets were been disposed around. With models showcasing their different designs…
They went and sat down on a seat reserved for them where they watched everything keenly.

THE WILLIAMS**
“Mom!! Come see! Valentina is on TV!!” Iris screamed.
Peggy walked out of her room and came to see. Valentina could be seen sitting down next to her boss, looking as beautiful and glowing as ever!.
“Gosh! Just look how pretty she is! I must go to Paris too, so that I can be more pretty!” Iris gushed
Her new phone vibrated she bought it out to see it was Luca. A smile formed on her lips.
“I see you got yourself a new phone” Peggy said.
“Oh sorry forgot to tell you. My schoolmate, Kim’s brother broke my phone so he promised to get me a new one” Iris replied.
“Okay, don’t stay too late. It’s 11PM and you have to sleep” Peggy said going back to bed
“Okay mom, sleep tight!!”
She replied Luca’s message and another one came. This time it was from Gavin.
? Can’t stop thinking about you. Tomorrow you and me, we’re going somewhere.
Iris smiled and shook her head then began typing.
? I won’t go unless you kidnap me
? Your wish is my command mi lady?
Iris ached her brows. This Gavin is the perfect definition of crazy…
She shook her head and concentrated back on the TV. This time it was Ricardo’s time to make a speech.
Ricardo walked upstage with ghe guests clapping for him. He took the microphone and smiled, that smile that always swept every lady off their feet.
“Good evening ladies and gentlemen, it’s a great pleasure to receive you here in your number. First of all I’ll like to congratulate the board for the job well done, this collaboration isn’t easy but it was worthwhile and that’s why right here before your eyes I’ll introduce to you.
Thornton Investment newest gadget. The teleportation machine, the TecMac001” Ricardo presented while the guests all cheered for him.
Iris clapped too from where she was sitting. She settled down well and continued watching the live show till the end!

The car drove back in the mansion. Valentina got down the car and stretched her body tiredly. The party ended by 11PM and right now she was tired as h’ll!!
She barely took two steps front when she felt herself been swept off the ground. A gasped left her lips.
“Rick…” She muttered staring in his eyes.
Ricardo smiled and her and kssed her forehead, making her blush.
“Let me carry you up to your room, just this once” Ricardo said and began walking upstairs.
Valentina stayed quiet and just placed her head on his chest, listening to his beating heart. Feeling kinda comfortable and safe in his arms.
Ricardo got to her room and placed her down. Her tugged her hair behind her ear and kssed her forehead again…
“Sweet dreams Val” Ricardo smiled and went to his room.
Valentina touched her cheek and stood there, lost in thoughts…

NEXT MORNING**
“Myles!! Slow down! I know you wanna meet Leslie so badly!!” Valentina said to Myles who rushed out of the car immediately it stopped in front of the airport…
“Come on!!” He exclaimed making the others laughed.
Minnie came down too. A hostess guided the kids in the plane. Valentina and Ricardo stayed behind saying goodbye to their partners.
“Can’t wait to get back home!!” Valentina squealed happily…
“Yeah me too, but I’ll kinda miss us living together. Now I’ll have to be waiting to see you” Ricardo pouted.
“You’re not serious” Valentina chuckled and climbed up the private plane.
Ricardo followed suit. He sat down next to her. Valentina looked out of the window, staring one last time at Paris as the plane slowly took off…
