CHAPTER 49
“Xan…Xan” Iris’s voice kept cracking.
“You’ve been here all along butterfly. And here I thought you left the country or something” Xander smiled…
Iris pushed him away with so much force and then glared at him with red eyes.
“C’mon, don’t tell me you’re still holding on to the past. Just forget about it,,, take it like it was a mistake” Xander shrugged.
“A mistake?” Iris and then next that followed was a sIap from iris.
Xander held his cheek looking at Iris with a surprised look on his face…
“You r@ped me! Not once and not twice and you’ll think I’ll just forget all and just say it’s a mistake?” Iris said angrily.
“You don’t know how much I loathe you. How much I hate you…!!” Iris said tearfully.
“Babe?”
Iris turned to see Gavin looking at them with a surprised look on his face. He looked at Xander for a while before walking up to Iris..
“What’s wrong? Why all the shouting and why the tears?” Gavin cupped her cheek.
Xander just stared at them with a surprised look on his face. Does that mean this guy is her boyfriend?
Iris just looked at Xander one more time before rushing off to who knows where. Gavin looked back at Xander, he’s the new guy in his class…
Gavin looked at him for a while before running after Iris.
“Looks like this school won’t be boring like I thought” Xander smirked.
FLASHBACK**
“Xander, you gotta tell me?! What’s wrong with you?! Are you deranged? Are you possessed? This is the second girl you are r@ping!!” Xander’s mother shouted at him in tears.
Xander just looked down, not feeling remorseful at all. In his hand was a letter, he just got expelled from school.
“I already told you mom. I was drunk and I didn’t know how it happened” Xander rolled his eyes and leaned on the chair.
“This is too much, I’m tired of suffering because of you. Go pack your things, you’re going to live with your uncle” Xander’s mother said.
“But mom-”
“I’ve had enough pack your things now!!” Xander’s mom said and left angrily…

Xander sighed and dipped his hands in his pocket before leaving…

Gavin made to run pass the rooftop but on second thoughts he decided to check it out.
He climbed upstairs and as expected, Iris was sitting on the bench with the breeze blowing on her hair, sobing silently.
Gavin slowly walked up to her and sat down near her. It really hurts seeing her in tears…
“Shh!, stop crying babe” Gavin cleaned her tears for her.
Iris looked at Gavin for a while. She stretched her arms forward and hugged Gavin, resting her head on his chest.
Gavin gently stroke her hair, holding her securely to himself. He kssed her hair and continued stroking it.
“Tell me what’s wrong? Did he do something to you?” Gavin asked.
Iris just looked from sniffing in. She had stopped crying but her eyes were still red.
“I thought I had forgotten about what he did to me. I thought I had already moved on but seeing his face in front after all these months brought back the rage and anger i have for him…” Iris said.
That was followed by a moment of silence..
“That guy you saw earlier, he’s Xander. The one who r@ped me” Iris muttered.
Gavin instantly froze. He stopped stroking her hair. The anger buried deep inside him began resurfacing.
“Okay” Gavin said calmly.
It took him all his self control to reply calmly at Iris. Right now, he was boiling with anger but he had to comfort Iris so he kept his calm…for now.
“Don’t worry I’m here for you. I won’t let anyone harm so long as I’m here and I’ll help you forget your past.” Gavin said.
Iris smiled slightly.
“Thank you” She muttered.
They stayed like that for some while before the bell was rung. Gavin helped Iris up. He smiled when he saw she was feeling more better.
“Go on, go to class. I’m free for this period” Gavin said.
Iris nodded. She pecked Gavin’s cheek and then walked off. Immediately she left, Gavin’s face fell and turned to that of anger.
He folded his fists really tightly as he slowly exited the rooftop too.

THE WILLIAMS**
“Finally you’re back!! I thought you won’t come back” Peggy said.
“C’mon mom, i was just really busy there” Valentina said.
Peggy simply nodded with a smirk dancing on her hair
“Yeah I know, you were busy having your honeymoon” Peggy said.
“Mom!”
“Don’t mom me… Just tell me when I’m gonna have grandkids” Peggy snorted
Valentina sighed in defeat before going upstairs without uttering a word. Peggy’s face immediately fell…
“How I wish I can come clear to you but I can’t. Your lives are in danger if I do…” Peggy said sadly.
She brought out a picture from her pocket and looked at it for a while…
“Gael my love, if I hadn’t make this mistake then we would have still been together” Peggy smiled sadly and kssed the picture.

“Finally, this literature classes are over. They were so boring!!” Kimberly groaned
“Well I don’t find it boring” Charlotte smiled.
“Hi.” They hear a voice behind them.
The girls turned to see it was Riley. She walked up to them with a nervous look on her face.
“Yes?” Iris said coldly.
“I just wanted to say I’m sorry. I know I haven’t been a cool girl since we met so I wanna say sorry. Ever since that incident where you trapped me, I had a rethink. I wouldn’t love if someone did to me what I was doing to other. I just hope you can forgive me” Riley said sadly…
Iris, Charlotte and Kimberly looked at each other for a while…
“We’ll think about that” Kimberly said coldly.
“Okay, thanks for hearing me out” Riley said and turned to leave.
Charlotte chuckled…
“Relax we were just joking with you. We’re cool so long as you’re cool” Charlotte smiled.
“Yeah she’s right. We hate bullies and if you decide to change then we’re cool” Iris added.
“Okay, thanks so much. See you around, need to apologize to Dasha for almost making three men r@pe her” Riley said and left.
They smiled and continue their way.
“So tell me Iris, what’s going on between you and my brother” Kimberly asked..
“Huh? Well…”
“Don’t lie to me. We know you like him more than you hate him” Charlotte smirked.
“Well I think I’m starting to like him but I’m scared of this sh*t called heartbreak. What if he just wanted to use and dump me?” Iris sighed.
“My brother is not like that. He can be stubborn, a d’vil, a grumpy person, a vengeful person, but he’s not a playboy. He can never do such things to a girl… Also don’t tell him but I usually catch him drawing you in his notebook and I overheard him writing a song for you” Kimberly winked.
Iris blushed but quickly hid it…
“Haa!, see how love is beautiful. Just look at us the singles” Kimberly sighed.
“Look who’s talking. I know Max is slowly falling for you” Charlotte winked.
“He’s just a playboy and I…”
“Kim!! Kim!!” Someone ran to them while breathing heavily.
“Your brother, he’s about to fight with the new student” The student said.
“What?!”

Gavin was busy walking along the hall of the highschool classes when he spotted Xander flirting with a girl.
He dipped his hands in his pocket and walked to them then stopped in front of them…
“Leave” He said to the girl.
“But…” The girl immediately shut up when Gavin gave her a chilly glare. She left instantly
“What’s wrong with you dude? Why intruding in my private life?” Xander said.
Gavin just looked at him without uttering a word..
“Aren’t I talking to you moron…”
Before Xander could see it coming, a blow landed on his face bursting his lips in the process.
The students around gasped as they saw that. That’s exactly what students seeing so they slowly began gathering around them…
Xander touched his bloody lips and stared at Gavin in confusion. Gavin knee him on the stomach making him slide down to the floor.
Gavin crouched in front of him.
“So you can be this weak because of a pun¢h? Since you can r@ped girls without mercy stand up, let’s see if you can fight” Gavin said and held his hair then slammed it on the locker behind…
“I see what’s it’s all. Iris…” Xander smiled despite the pains he felt.
“You messed with the wrong girl and I’m gonna make regret ever doing that to her. I wonder why nature allows monsters like you to live…” Gavin said calmly.
Xander chuckled.
“Go on beat me, pun¢h me all you want I won’t fight back. But that won’t change the fact that I’m the one who took her innocence away…” Xander smiled.
That made Gavin’s blood boil. He pulled him up and slammed his back against the wall the lifted his hands up…
“Gavin!”
Gavin turned to see it was Iris. He looked at Xander and slowly released him…
“Wait for me tonight, I’m coming for you…” Gavin muttered angrily and turned to leave.
Xander chuckled where he was sitting…
“That won’t change anything, I’m the first man in her life” Xander laughed
Gavin paused and folded his fists tightly. Iris held his arm making him look at her.
“No. Not in school, you’ll get into trouble” Iris muttered.
Gavin nodded. Iris slowly pulled him as the crowd made way for them. Charlotte and Kimberly followed behind them.
