Jemima dashed into her apartment, her breath ragged and her face covered in so much sweat. She grabbed the water from her desk and ducked everything down her throat.
After she was calm she sat on her bed recalling what had happened to her.
The hounds.
That scared the shit out of her. After she had agreed to Tatiana’s request. Someone in the dark whistled and the hounds left her. Jemima came out to find the person but he was gone with the hounds.
Jemima clinched her jaw. Apology, her ass. She would never apologize to a mere assistant!
She took her phone and called Daniel.
“Hey, why are you crying?” Daniel asked on the others side, his voice filled with concern.
Jemima explained everything to him.
“She did all of that?”
“Yes. I was so scared, I thought I was going to die. I really need your help to destroy her. She might kill me soon”
“Don’t worry. I’ll do something about it” Daniel responded. “She wants to play dark, I’ll play dark”

“Do you think she’ll apologize?” Jolene asked Tatiana as she play games with Dylan.
“Jemima would rather lick the toilet floor than apologizing. I was messing with her” Tatiana knew Jemima to be full of egos. Tatiana faced Jolene. “Her doom would be on the award night. It would be fun humiliating them”
Jolene smiled.
“I won!” Dylan exclaimed jumping down from the couch. “I won! I won!” He began to jump.
“How can a five years old boy be this good?” Jolene blinked in surprise.
“I’ll be six in three months. Mother and I would be celebrating our birthday soon. Buy me cookies!” Dylan said cutely. “When is your birthday, Miss Jolene?”
“3rd of December. A boring day to remind me that I’m getting old”
Dylan chuckled. “Let’s play another match”
“I’ll beat you this time around”
“You bet”
Tatiana’s phone beeped. It was a message from Kings entertainment company. Her eyes widened at the message.
“Oh my God. No way!”

‘Nominated’
Jemima smiled at the message on her email. Her eyes lit up with excitement.
“Congratulations ma’am. You’ll definitely win the award” Wiley assured.
“What of other nominees?” She asked.
“On it”
Jemima nodded. There way four guard behind her. The one who was protecting her ever since the hounds incident, thanks to Daniel.
“Here are the names” Wiley handed the list of names to Jemima.
Jemima immediately searched for her name and when her eyes settled on it, she hissed in disgust and distain.
“Why is that bitch Tatiana name here? She only did only one movie…”
“Not really one ma’am. Remember she’s an old actress. She had done more than three movies which makes her eligible. She also have experience…” Wiley reminded.
“I know. I know, you shouldn’t remind me. Goddamit”
“Rest assured ma’am.. you’ll win the award. You did last year, and you will this year too”
Jemima scoffed. Rest assured? She can’t put her mind at peace knowing Tatiana and her mysterious lover was a huge threat to her.
“Get me the list of the judges” she ordered.

Rowen watched Jolene preparing the dishes. Her face serious as she carefully added ingredients. Rowen was finally able to get a small job nearby.
Jolene was happy when she found out but he got worried as his daughter never asked him the reason why he left that day.
“Jo?” He called when she sat on the couch waiting for the soup to cook.
“Hm” she answered and decision to check Tatiana’s platforms.
“Why haven’t you asked about that day I left”
Jolene paused and her eyes met with his. After a while she responded. “Because I don’t want to know. I’m afraid that might destroy our relationship”
“But it has been troubling my mind. If we are to start over, I think it’s best to be honest with you”
Jolene exhaled nervously. She then nodded knowing Rowen was right. She nodded, giving him a cue to speak.
“I was terrible. I was under a lot of pressure that wasn’t good enough as your father. I can’t blame your mother for yelling and scolding me every single day, I blame myself and I was selfish to think leaving was the best option. I cried everyday remembering how sad you look running after my car. I left the country to find a good life and return but it was stolen away from me. I got framed and imprisoned for a crime I didn’t commit. I spent several years thinking of how to come back to you and that was the first thing I did when I got out… To find you…”
Rowen paused to study Jolene’s expression. No anger or resentment.
“Did mother cheat?” Jolene suddenly asked and Rowen eyes widened a little. How did she know? Yes, her mother cheated but he didn’t want Jolene to know about that.
“Jo?”
“I was young back then not stupid”
“You were sick Jo, we needed money so she…”
“That doesn’t make her right. She hurt you. I understand you. Father”
Rowen’s eyes slowly widened. Father? She just called him father?
“I’m so sorry I left. That was stupid of me”
“At least you made it back” Jolene smiled and Rowen could see her eyes tearing up.
“Oh Jo, come here” he demanded, spreading his arms and she immediately ran to hug. She burst into tears.
“I’m so sorry” he said again, patting her hair gently.
“Don’t ever leave me again” she muttered.
“I won’t, I’m back for good. I promise”
Jolene hugged him tighter.

[OSCARS AWARD NIGHT]
The day felt swiftly. A day all had been expecting.
In a large hall filled with numerous people, dressed in their various exquisite dress. They were actors, model, directors, idols, business men and women.
Reporters were holding their cameras firmly as it flutters every seconds. Their sole purpose for the gathering was…
The Award ceremony.
It’s an annual event, each celebrity worked hard to get a spotlight. Best idols, best model, best new comer, best directors and best actress.
Among the crowd, there, Tatiana sat gracefully. Indigo stayed by her side. Tatiana was wearing wine glittering gown that accentuated her beauty.
Cassius on the other hand, was seated on the high seat since he was the special guest. He was putting on a wine suit, a bit familiar to Tatiana’s dress design of one looked closely.
Both had their wedding rings on!
Tatiana was about to take a being step, even though she doubt she was going to get the award tonight. She came solely to reveal something.
Dylan stayed home today, since tonight’s event was going be rough.
Her eyes met with Jemima who was also staring at her. Tatiana smiled and returned her gaze to the host greeting the guest.
Jemima scoffed, a smirk played on her lips recalling what she had laid for Tatiana.
“I knew she was only making empty threats weeks ago. She said she would hunt me and nothing happened. I’ll destroy her tonight” Jemima mumbled.
Wiley cleared her throat nervously. “Well ma’am people have been comparing you to Tatiana online and it’s not going well”
“I’m afraid Tatiana might have more votes than you” Wiley mentioned.
Jemima knew something like this would happened so she left to make a call.
“How is it going?” She asked.
“We have her” a voice sounded on the other side.
“Let me see”
A video was sent to her. Jolene was all tied up, blood dripping down from every part of her body. Her face swollen and she looked like someone who is about to die.
A satisfactory smile laced on Jemima’s lips. The bitch who hit her was now suffering. She was going to use Jolene to make Tatiana withdraw as a nominee.
Tatiana loves Jolene so much, she won’t let Jolene die would she?
Also, Daniel planned to announce Tatiana signing with the Crystal company tonight! Tatiana won’t be able to deny because she won’t be present when it’s happening.
The video would have force Tatiana to leave the hall. Daniel men would kidnap her and force Tatiana to sign with Crystal company…
“Don’t let her out of your sight” Jemima ordered.
“Yes ma’am” Jemima smiled. She then dialed another number.
It was one of the judge.
“Hello my love” Judge Alex sounded on the other side.
“I hope you haven’t forget about our deal”
“Of course not. You’re definitely getting the award today” the judge replied.
‘All set’ Jemima smiled and left to her seat. Her eyes settled on Mr. King… The man that dominates the whole industry.
Her deepest desire was to have this man attention even for a moment. His eyes suddenly met with hers for a few seconds and back to the crowd and her heart skipped a beat. Gosh! His aura.
Jemima found herself smiling ear to ear. He was the most handsome man she had laid her eyes on. Jemima’s smile slowly dropped a little noticing the familiar design on Mr. King’s wine suit.
Tatiana’s dress.
She glanced over Tatiana’s dress and saw the same design. She even saw how Tatiana gave Mr. King a smile.
How sheepy of her to think she can get his attention by making the same design as Mr. King. Does Tatiana knows the consequences of crossing the man?
She noticed the rings too and couldn’t help but scoffed. She took out her phone and took pictures for evidence.
‘Mr. King it seems Bimbo bitch noticed our dress and rings looks familiar’ Tatiana texted Cassius.
Cassius lips curled a little.
‘You’re so beautiful I want to drag you home right now’ he texted back.
‘Naughty. I’m so excited to cause a drama’ Tatiana smiled.
‘Little Rebel’ he texted.
After a few activities, Wiley informed it was almost time for award announcement. Jemima anonymously sent the video to Tatiana and looked at her.
She watched Tatiana face contorting into shock and worries. Her chest heaving. When Tatiana stood to leave, Jemima’s heart leaped with so much joy.
It was working!
Indigo asked where she was going but Tatiana left the hall in a hurry.
All this while, a pair of blue eyes stared at Jemima. Cold and piercing. Jemima felt it and couldn’t help but look at him. Those eyes bore into her soul and her heart raced.
Why was Mr. King looking at her like that? She quickly avert her gaze and exhaled nervously.
Daniel appeared and sat beside Jemima. Jemima gave him a questioning look and he winked.
He got to kidnap Tatiana!
Jemima smiled, feeling victorious.
“The best director goes Mr. Shane!” The host annoced and a middle aged man ascended to take the award.
Jemima chest heaved. With Tatiana gone, she would get the award. Daniel and the Judge Alex had assured her that.
The host called different awards to many artist. Some smiled, cried, laughed, kneel and do some crazy stuff to show how happy they are.
Getting such an award was like the next level. Tatiana had gotten the best actress award years ago twice. Getting the third, means a greater height!
Jemima only won once. She need this award more than anyone.
“Before announcing this award, Mr. Daniel. The CEO Crystal company would like to announce something. Come on Mr. Daniel” The host stated and Daniel walked gracefully to the stage. His men had kidnapped Tatiana and she must have signed the contract already.
As soon as he announced Tatiana signing with them, the audience became shocked. Tatiana signed with the Crystal company. Cool!
“As his president, I would like to announce, Tatiana’s withdrawal as a nominee for the actress award…”
Cassius’s gaze darkened but he tried to remain calm.
“Withdrawal?” Tatiana’s voice sounded among the crowd. Daniel and Jemima’s face turned paled.
What!?
“And when did I even sign with your company?” Tatiana stood and approached the stage.
Daniel’s lips opened and closed without a word
“Why would I sign with a company with favoritism” Tatiana looked at Jemima and smirked.
“What are you talking about?” Daniel stuttered wondering why Tatiana wasn’t with his men!
“Right, you need evidence. I’ll give them to you” she smiled.
Just then she several men walked into the hall. Ciara and Jolene was among them.
Jolene!
Jemima felt like peeing herself. Daniel felt a slap across his face. They thought Tatiana fell into their trip but instead, it seems Tatiana was the one laying trap for them.
“What is this?” Daniel asked.
Tatiana smiled and climbed on stage.
“I have an announcement to make. Apparently, Jemima Robert had been on me these days. Everyone recalled how she indirectly criticized me during the Crystal interview. She tried to to bully me but I’m not a weakling. She decided to attack my assistant to get back at me but she was saved by Jaxon Miller. I told Jemima to properly apologize to my assistant and she didn’t. Jemima think of me as a threat so this happen…” Tatiana paused and faced Ciara. “Please step forward Ciara”
Ciara nodded and climbed the stage.
Daniel shook his head while Jemima was on hot seat.
Ciara stood confidently on stage, surveying the crowd before beginning. “I’ve worked with Jemima on several projects, and I’ve seen firsthand how she treats others. She’s constantly belittling and bullying fellow artists, thinking she’s above them. But what’s worse is that she uses her relationship with Daniel to get away with it.”
Gasps echoed through the room, and Daniel’s face turned bright red.
Daniel’s wife was among the crowd. She stood with her eyes widened. Her husband was cheating on her!?
Ciara continued “She’s manipulated him into silencing anyone who speaks out against her. I’ve seen her reduce talented individuals to tears, making them doubt their worth even I myself. She’s created a culture of fear, where people are too intimidated to stand up to her. Tatiana’s assistant is just the latest victim of Jemima’s wrath.”
Jemima’s face twisted in anger as she stood. “That is a fucking lie!! Y’all are fucking lying. Tatiana is jealous! You can’t just come here and start spilling nonsense!”
“Why are you doing this Ciara? Is it because I’m the CEO of Crystal company and you’re not. How stupid to think this would bring me down!” Daniel roared.
“Oh I have evidence Jemima Robert” Ciara smiled and the curtain behind her opened revealing a screen.
A video played.
Jemima and Daniel kissing in the office, his hand roaming around her body. They both talked about Tatiana and Jolene. Every of their plot for today was revealing to the world.
Even the fake signing agreement and how they planned to force Tatiana using Jolene as a threat.
Daniel’s wife couldn’t take it anymore. She left the hall with one thing ringing in her mind. Divorce!
Insults was hauled to Daniel and Jemima’s faces.
Shameless!…
They both disguist me!…
All because of award?!….
He is married and he cheats. Jemima fucks a married man! They should just go to hell….
Ciara ended the video. “Other evidence would posted online. Evidence of how Jemima bullied other artist and how Daniel doesn’t deserve to be the CEO of Crystal’s company”
The uproar continued. Jemima couldn’t breath well.
This is all ruined.. her breath stopped when someone finally cleared his throat!
All eyes widened Cassius King just stood up!
Mr. King just stood up!
‘Oh my dead’ Jemima broke into cold sweat. Daniel was no different.
