Chapter 2
Amy raised her chin, almost immediately she heard him. Did he say he’ll find her a job…
What could she do?. She was as lazy and fragile as a breakable chewing stick.
“A job?” She asked him, her eyes very wide.
“Mn. You’ll work for me as long as sixty days, that’s enough to pay your debt.” He bluntly said, staring at his finger tips.
Amy looked away from his eyes while filling her lower lip inside her mouth.
What could she say to this man?. She was scared of saying no.
She really loved her job as a delivery girl and she never had plans to leave it.
But at the same time, she wanted to clear her debt after the sixty days and finally be free.
She looked up at him again, to avoid keeping him waiting in silence.
“What kind of job is it, sir?” She asked, stressing her forehead with lines.
She looked really determined to know what type of job she would be doing before stupidly diving into her new ‘supposed’ job.
Xan grinned halfway, stretching his arm to place it on her head.
“Not so fast, little fella. You’ll still need to pass my professional interview test first”
Professional Interview?. Amy didn’t know why but her heart skipped at that moment.
If it regarded books or math, she knew she would definitely and handsomely fail.
She raised her shoulder, sucking in all the air in the world before dropping them back down.
“That wouldn’t be a problem, sir. When is the interview for my job coming up?” She boldly stepped up to ask.
“Meet me here at this same spot tomorrow morning at 9. The rest will be handled” He said and turned his backs at her.
She stared at his large broad backs as he skeptically made his way to his car.
Oh!. She just remembered. She would need his contact to be able to reach him as well.
“Sir!!. Um..sir!” Amy yelled, stumping right behind him.
He halted to a stop, making amy stop at her heels before she could crash into him.
“Sir…” she trailed.
His face scowled up. He didn’t like when she regarded him by that word.
“What else do you need, miss?” He muttered, his voice going deeper than before.
Amy shuddered with fear again, thinking she had annoyed him.
“Um..c..can i have your contact please?” She meekly asked, stupidly standing behind his back.
He didn’t bothered turning around. He stretched out a card and raised it above his head and twirled it across his shoulder.
“Here. That contains everything about me”
She had to raise her sneakers to the tip before she could reach out to the card.
She pinned her feet back to the floor and stared at his personal card with a wide cheerful smile.
“Thank you very much, sir.” She said.
Xan opened the passengers door and got into the car quickly.
Sean, his driver, also tripped into the car along with him and in some matter of minute the car began to accelerate away.
“Bye sir!!” Amy waved, seeing his reflection smooth away from her gaze.
The other driver quickly turned around and held amy in a tight hug.
She almost choked,,
“I’m so speechless right now. I have not seen someone with such a caring heart.Thank you so much. I’ll be forever grateful!” He rumbled on her shoulders.
Amy formed a tight smile and quickly squeezed herself out from his strong grip.
“Geez..” She finally was able to breath.
“Oh dear..dear.. I’m glad we are both on the safe sides now. I just hope i don’t fumble and become a clumsy girl soon!” She tried to laugh.
She hugged him again, just like how a good daughter would do before saying a goodbye.
And finally, they retreated back towards the car and sped off towards the resturant.

SPICY RESTURANT ?
Amy slowly opened up the door and peeked her head in to see no one down the lighted narrowed corridor.
She heaved one heavy sigh and ran in, closing back the door before resting on it tiredly.
She touched her hot forehead. Her head had been badly hurting after standing under the sun for too long.
She had took the back door from behind the waste room to avoid being caught by her boss entering late.
She raised her arm and checked her wristwatch.
“God. 12 noon. I’m so done with!” she sheepishly uttered, pouting her lip sadly.
She was fully prepared for what was coming her way.
She leaned away from the door and held her big bag, lazily walking down the corridor towards the delivery room.
She stretched her arm to pull the door but stopped midway.
Her heart that was racing normally began to pound inside her chest.
Well, she stayed positive while pulling the door open, anyways.
As soon as the door bell rang, the busy workers in all groups turned their heads to stare at her.
All of them with the same mimcry face expression.
They were now fond of seeing the little amy arrive late and being the topic of the day by their boss.
Fortunately, boss was unavailable today. It was Amy’s turn to laugh at them.
She pressed her lips tight and quickly hopped on her toes towards her bench.
She fell her bag on the table and dropped her head on it sighing hardly.
Someone poked her head hardly.
“Hey. Amy..” Rhema, her best friend rolled her chair towards her.
“Rhema..” Amy tiredly waved, her eyes struggling to stay open.
Rhema rested her cheeks on her palm.
“So..what excuse do you have for coming late today…huh miss LAzy?” Rhema hissed.
“It actually a long story, Rhema. Seriously..I’m in huge debt right now” Amy said, sitting up.
Rhema, a girl who enjoyed listening to stories, quickly wrapped her cheeks and leaned her elbow on the table.
“Gist me about it all!!” she said, willingly smiling widely.
Amy sighed. She knotted her palm together as she carefully explained the whole incident to her friend.
At the end, Rhema found it very amusing than Amy had thought. She had never seen her friend ever so joyful.
“Omg!!. Wohoo..Someone is no longer a delievery girl!. Do you know what it means for you to work at his place??” She yelled daringly.
Before amy could try to speak, she had grabbed her shoulders tightly again.
“Love… love!!” She screamed, excitedly.
Amy didn’t know what to say to her completely crazy friend. Her eyes were confusingly wide and startled at her.
“So tell me…what’s this hot guy, CEO, name?” She quickly asked, biting her lower lip anxiously.
Amy lowered her head and had wanted to tell her she didn’t know his name before she got distracted by the bell alarm.
Everyone stood up. It was work time.

After the end of work for that, Amy took a cab back home. It was raining outside but she was warm inside the cab.
She looked at the drizzling glass and the thought of pink filled her head.
She really couldn’t wait to see pink after a long tiring day and hug and kss her.
Getting home, she opened the door and stepped out in the rain. She realised another car had been parked at the other lane of the street.
She ignored it and began to run into her apartment before she would get drenched.
At her doorstep, a fancy box was placed on the floor carpet.
She looked around for a while wondering who might have left the box here. Since it was at her doorstep, she assumed it belonged to her.
She quickly picked it up.
It was a lighweighted box and it increased amy curiousity on knowing what was inside it.
She pulled her wet shoes off and shifted the door open stepping into her warm welcoming home.
Pink welcomed her with a her usual happy bark sound leaving a smile on Amy’s face.
“Pinky!!” Amy pronounced, opening up her cage. Pink happily ran out, jumping to lick her again.
“I’ve missed you too.” She laughed, returning back to the sofa. After cuddling her for a while, she dropped the dog to pick the box.
“Mn. Strange, no label or anything” she said checking every side of the box.
“Anyways, let see what’s inside”
Opening the box, she was greatly marveled by what was inside it. The gift item were wrapped inside a silicone paper.
She picked them out, one by one and staring at them with great awe.
It was a breathtaking office shirt and black pin trousers that went well with the heels inside.
“Unh?. What type of gift is this?. Who brought it?” Amy thought aloud.
