CHAPTER 18
OUTSIDE THE MANSION
Sean leaped in pain as he found his way in to the black luxury car.
He opened the door quickly and sat down, resting his head on the steering wheel.
His legs were shaking terribly. He could feel the bvllet straw up to his bones making him feel weak and uneasy.
He was the only hope for xan now. He knew he needed to be strong.
He would meet xan by all means and find Amy immediately so that she wouldn’t be the next to pass through the bvllet.
He unfolded his trousers. He picked up an handkerchief and tied up his wounds, after which, he threw his head backwards on the headrest.
Sigh.
He was going to do this for his boss to show him how desperate and sorry he was for betraying him.
Even if it deserve him losing his life.
He picked up the keys and turned on the car before he began to accelerate away.

AT THE GROCERIES
Xan arrived back at where he had left Amy. He couldn’t find Amy at the queue again.
The mall had begun to shot down because it was getting very late already.
He picked his phone to call Amy again but it was surprisingly dead.
He leaned on the wall, pocketing his arm and just sighing…and sighing like he had lost the world.
He began to blame himself. This was his fault for not watching over the little girl.
Who knows where her little legs had wandered her off to. If something bad happens to her, he would kll himself for it.
And that stranger that interrupted him a while ago, he was sure he had something to do with her disappearance.
He aimlessly walked around the mall searching around for her. He couldn’t find her inside the mall so he went outside.
His phone buzzed out immediately. It was a call from sean. He stretched the phone towards his ear.
” Hello, sean?. You’ve been discharged?” He asked, kicking his feet on a random object.
” Yes, yes. I’m outside the mall inside your black luxury. Look up you’ll see me.” Sean told him.
Xan raised his brows and scanned the whole area before nodding
” Yes. I see you.” He said.
” Come!. Quickly. There’s a huge problem.” He said.
” There’s also a huge problem here as well. I can’t leave here until i find Amy.” He said.
” That’s exactly what the problem is. Amy has been kidnapped by Vixen.”
” What?!” His voice exclaimed. His head could actually burst at that moment.
” There isn’t much to say on the phone. Just come over to the car quickly.” He told him.
Xan bit his lip hard as his fingers cut the call. He stiffly crossed the road towards the direction of the other car.
He came in, only to be welcomed by Sean’s swollen foot.
” Your leg?. What happened?” Xan asked.
” Vixen. That’s what happened. He shot me and klled BB right there in the mansion. All your staffs had all run for their lives.”
Xan mouth dropped as sean told him the very tragic news.
” We have to find Amy, at all cost. She could be next.” Sean said.
Xan palmed his eyes.
” i wish i wasn’t born at all. Why would vixen do all this. Why does he hate me as a brother?”
” Xan. We don’t have time to start speaking idioms. Let’s move straight to the plan!” Sean told him.
” I’ll drive to the police. All this has to end today ” He said, picking up the keys.
” No, xan.” Sean stopped him. ” You mustn’t get the police involved in this. It might get more bI.oody if you try to.”
” Then what am i actually suppose to do?. I can do a magic trick to get Amy back. The police can help us track her down.”
” That’s not what I’m saying, xan. I want you to go to your brother and apologise. That’s the only way to end this.”
” Apo…Apologise?”
” Mn” sean nodded.
” Remember that you were the one who hurt his feelings. Vixen is lost, xan. He his lost in the realm of trying to take a revenge. I’m sure if you bring him down by apologising, he would get himself back.”
” And if he doesn’t listen to my pleads?. What will then happen?.” he asked.
” Then get the police involved” Sean ratted.

AT THE CAMPFIRE SITE.
In the woods, dark as the night.
Amy was sitting near the fire, warming her cold hands as she thought about xan again.
She dropped her hands, looking very lost. She had become less considered of her life and her mind kept on drifting to xan.
She hope he was alright, If at all. She hoped vixen had not try to hurt him in anyway.
The fire was bringing up saw dust and the reflection of the fire was just hovering over her face.
She looked over to the other two men who were at the other end, gisting and smoking their lives out.
She wanted to escape but she knew it would all be in vain. This all place had no way out or way in.
Perhaps, this was their campfire hangouts.
” I’m cold!!” She pouted her lips, biting the skin under them. The two men turned to stare at her.
” You say?” Kylie asked.
” I’m cold!!.” She yelled, stubbornly.
” The fire isn’t enough to keep you warm, huh?!” He scoffed.
She looked away and tucked her palm into her armpit. Soon, she felt a heavy blanket land on her face.
She dragged them off her head and gently covered her shoulders.
Kylie came to sit next to her.
” Hey. We don’t look like your dad that you would order around what you need..” he said.
” Can i know what you guys would do to me after this?” Amy asked, looking at him.
” Definitely kll you…” Kylie said.
” Huh?”
” Oh perhaps, Fk your innocent ass” Jimmy laughed, lighting up another cigar.
She looked away and stared at the fire. She pouted her lips, avoiding the tears in her eyes.
” All this was my fault. I shouldn’t have met this people if i hadn’t crash through Xan’s car that day. I’m sure I’d be happy living my former life.” She said, sniffing her nose.
” Don’t worry little Amy. We wouldn’t make you feel anything when we want to kll you. It’s just a straight gvn shot.” He smirked, patting her shoulder.
” I wish i could know why vixen is doing all this. He truly doesn’t have a heart. He is d’vil, the dvil himself!” She yelled.
Jimmy fired up his gvn in the air, scaring the ribs out of amy.
” You are not allowed to condemn our boss. So keep shut or we might try to act naughty” He yelled.
There was silence for a while. No one wanted to a say a word.
” You don’t know the story behind red?” Kylie asked, breaking the silence.
” The story? What story?” She asked.
” You see, back then, red used to be a good person. Not until xan klled his girlfriend right there in school. He became very upset and decided to unleash his anger in Xan’s girlfriend too.”
” Is that why he’s doing all of this. Because of something that happened years back?” She asked.
” Yes. You see. it very heartbroken to hurt someone else love. red wansts xan to feel same way too.”
” But he’s doing more than what xan did. How can he go ahead klling innocent people?”
” You didn’t ask why xan went ahead and klled red innocent girlfriend too” Kylie said.
Amy looked away again, sighing.
” I want to pee. Is there any toilet around here?” She asked.
” Toilet you say?. Haha. We are outside the city, little Amy. There’s no toilet here in the wild.” Kylie laughed.
Jim stood up.
” Hey!. Follow me let me take you to a private corner.” Jim said picking her hands.
She stood up and followed him walking side to side with him.
” When will vixen arrive?” She asked, as they moved through the thick bushes and sticks.
” As soon as he’s done with BB.” He said.
” Wait. BB Is part of this too?”
” You ask questions alot!. Go there and pee.” He pointed and turned his backs at her to wait.
Amy nodded and walked over where she was suppose to pee. She squatted and picked up a heavy stick.
She stared at it and an idea appeared above her head.
So many eviI and naughty things began to flood in her mind. She bit her lips hard, tiptoeing towards the man who was backing her.
She ran over to him and stretched it up in the air, the man suddenly turned and looked at her.
She freezed, widening her eyes in shock as the stick was high up in her hand ready to land on his head.
” Hum?. I..i…just…”
She threw the stick away and began to run speedily into nowhere.
” Hey!. You!. Stop…Hey!” Jim yelled and out of anger, he pvshed the gvn trlgger.
