CHAPTER 28
Amy turned to him and held his arm.
” We could run away. Is that silly?” She asked, staring at him.
Xan laughed and stealed a short kss on her lip without her notice.
” I don’t want you to be away from your mother. You know you are the only child.” He said and Amy lowered her gaze.
” I don’t know what to say. It seems like this might be the end.” She said, dropping her shoulders.
Xan tilted his head as he stared at her.
” I’m going to sound very silly now.” He said.
” What do you mean?” She asked looking lost.
” I want to give your mom no option than to accept us as a couple.”
” How will you do that?. She had already made herself clear last night”
He picked her arms and made stand and walk towards him. He stood up still holding her arm.
” Amy. I want you to_ carry my baby.” He said bluntly. Amy eyes slowly stretched widely.
” Your baby?.” she said, her arms dropping off his fist.
” Mn.” He nodded his head slightly as he patiently waited for her next reaction.
Amy shaked her heads and formed her lips into a pout.
” No!. I…i..can’t do that.”
” Yes. I knew that would be your first answer. Tho, i was scared of telling you because it sounds quite silly but i didnt have any choice so i had to.” He said.
He sat back on the bed, drawing Amy closer and made her sit on his legs.
” My reasons are for our good, Amy. I’m sure if you carry my baby there’s no way your mom will try to engage you with someone else. The baby will be there, to keep that bond.”
She rubbed her arm nervously, hiding her face from him.
” If it’s about carrying your baby, then I’m very prepared. But I’m scared of getting pregnant.”
Xan laughed, resting his forehead on her shoulder.
” Getting pregnant does not mean the end of your life baby. Afterall, you will still get pregnant in the future so there’s no point if you do now.”
” I was planning on keeping my body until marriage, xan. Can’t we just wait for then?” She asked, raising her lashes.
” Or can’t we just get married tomorrow? Mn?” He asked.
He rubbed her silk dark hair gently and placed a kss on her cheek.
” You don’t have to be scared, amy. You are mine and I’m yours. Your mom is our only stumbling block. If your mom could accept us, i swear I’m going to marry you the next day.”
“This is actually a though decision. Who’s going to take care of me when I’m pregnant” she said, blinking her eyes and pouting her lips.
Xan sighed, seeing that he needed to convince her more.
He grabbed her palm and knotted her fingers in his.
” I’m not planning on denying you halfway. No matter what it takes, I’ll make sure i don’t skip a day without you. I’m sure if your mom discovers you’re pregnant, she might actually send you over to me and that might pave way for us.”
His eyes turned daring as he stared at her. Amy stared at him closely, she could see sincerity in his eyes.
” i just want to feel secured that, even if I’m not around you, i still have the mindset that you are carrying my own flesh and no one can come inbetween us.”
Amy curled her lips as she looked away. She was very scared but she was just helpless once again.
Would her mom ever allow her to meet him again after this. No!. She can’t bare to loose him.
She turned to him and picked his hands, resting it on her chest.
“Do what you want” she said.

Amy woke up and found herself in bed. She rolled to her side and stared at the window that brought in shades of light.
She saw that it was ten in the morning already.
Tiredly, she closed her eyes still. Her mind jolted back to the love making she had made with xan.
A wide smile crawled on her lips and her cheeks turned pink.
The door opened and her mother walked in, making Amy sit up immediately.
” Why are you still in bed?” Her mother asked, packing her laundry basket.
” I’m very weak, mom. I…i..couldn’t sleep all through last night.” She said guiltily.
” That’s none of my business, Alicia. Meet me in the kitchen quick”
” I can’t.” She said.
” Why?” Her mom turned to look at her.
” My legs are really hurting me alot. Just…just give me some time, i would be down in a minute ” she plead.
Mrs qin stared closely at her for a while and Amy quickly progged the blanket to cover her body halfway.
” I want to see you downstairs in the next two minute. That’s all.” Her mom said and left her room.
Amy slowly took down the bedsheet and dropped her feet. They were still shaking terribly.
She cupped her cheeks and rested them on her kneels tiredly.
So she was carrying an egg now and perhaps it was slowly forming inside her now.
So she wasn’t a vrgn anymore and she would have to hide it from Mrs Qin.
So, Xan’s baby was inside her.
She heavily sighed and came down the bed walking towards the door to leave.
