CHAPTER 42
At the hospital…
Xan and mrs qin tripped into the hospital and luckily, they met the doctor attending to nurses on the way.
As soon as he was done, they quickly stopped the doctor and xan rushed to ask the same question again.
” I don’t have much to say, sir. It’s clear that she bI.eeded alot. The baby lost half of it’s life before she could get here.” He said and Xan palmed his lips
” We tried to save the baby by every possible way but unluckily, we ended up hurting her womb leaving it with quite a huge damage too.” The doctor said.
Xan chuckled sarcastically as if he running mentally sane.
” Is this a joke or what?” He asked, looking at the nurses around. The doctor sighed.
” I’m sorry. It’s sad that she drank an ab.ortion pills when infact, her baby was doing just fine. Why would you let that little girl pass through that h®rrible pain.” He said.
Xan swelled as he stared at mrs qin. He wished she could be hanged to de.ath. She bowed her head feeling h®rrible. What has she done?
The part where the doctor said Alicia had a huge womb damage got her alot. Could have that little tip led to that extent?.
” You can go to her room and go check on her, she’s been awake.” The doctor said before another nurse approached him.
Xan walked away stealthily before mrs qin guiltily followed behind. He pushed the door to her room open and Amy sat up quickly turning her head.
” Xan. Where have you been?” She asked as she rushed down the bed to hug him.
” I…i..was sorting things out.” He said, his breath was just heavy to contain.
She looked up at him.
” What did the doctor say?. H..he didn’t reveal anything to me. Did he say my baby is okay?” Amy asked holding Xan’s arm. Xan lowered his gaze, biting his lip painfully.
How was he going to tell her everything. From loosing her baby to having a bad womb.
” Tell me, xan. What did he say?” She probbed feeling impatience.
” He said the baby is fine.” Xan said quickly, not giving enough time to think.
” Huh?. Oh. Thank God. I almost thought i lost my baby. I had lots of anxiety waiting for you, xan. Oh geez…I’m so glad.” She said, hugging him tight.
Her heart had stopped beating. She was now relaxed in his arm. Xan found himself hugging her back.
He was very hurt to have lied. He knew if she knew the truth, she would think her life very h®rrible.
Mrs qin, on the otherside, stood at the doorside, unable to comprehend her feelings anympre. She let tears roll out her eyes.
Even after taking a revenge on xan by hurting his baby, he still covered her up just to make her daughter happy.
So this is how much he loved her?. If Amy knew her mom was behind this, she might hate her forever. She sniffed and shaked her heads. She made a terrible mistake. Was she?.
Xan left hold of her and Amy stared at her his face. There were tears on his cheek.
” Xan?. What happened?. Why…why are you crying?” She asked, cupping his cheek. Xan turned around to face mrs qin and that’s when Amy realised her mom had been standing at the extreme end of the room.
” Mom!.” She ran up to her, taking her for a tight hug. Tears began to run out of Amy’s eyes.
” Mom. You won’t believe what happened after we left. Mom i almost lost your grandkid. I know how much you need a grandchild, i know you’ve always prayed for one.
I don’t know what I’ve done if my baby had died. I wouldn’t have been able to fulfill your promise .” She said, sobbing.
” Alicia, my daughter!” Mrs qin shaked her heads, hugging tight to her body as she cried heavily.
Amy left her mom to hug tight she remained mute. She had never cried this much before.
Mrs qin left hold of her and cleared up the tears off her face.
” I’m sorry. I’m very sorry.” She said.

XAN’S MANSION.
Xan had lost everything. He wasn’t able to even repay mrs qin any longer. His heart was like glasses that they had scattered. He lost his baby!.
That baby that he had hoped for to start a family with Amy. He had also lost her womb.
What if she wouldn’t get pregnant for him again. He had lied to her that her baby was fine and that nothing happened. Dumb Amy had swallowed the fact and thought it was true.
She wasn’t aware that she took pills so how was she able to know. Even her mom, he had left that bch to go away with it.
He had lost his strength and everything to even repay her back for her deeds.
In the dinning room, xan was alone that night. He was leaning one of his leg on his chair, gently crunching on chips. The door moved and Amy walked in already dressed for bed.
” Why are you sitting here alone?” She asked. Since he was the only one who knew about the incident, he was feeling sober alone. He sat up and stretched out a chip to her mouth. She crunched it and smiled.
” Mmmm nice.” She smiled.
” You love it?” He asked, smiling.
” I’m sure the baby will love it more.” She giggled and Xan face fell flat. He sat upright. He wanted to tell her the truth so badly because she was now feeling too fond of the ghost baby.
He heaved.
” Amy. There’s something you should know.” He said. ” The doctor just called a minute ago and told me to tell you something.”
” Okay?” She said, blinking at him. That eyes of her, it would kll him if tears ever fell out of them.
He inhaled sharply and looked at her smiling.
” He said we should get married quickly. You know, before we have this baby so that our baby can call us mama and papa.”
” Oh. That will be so awesome. I was also thinking same.” She said, feeling like she was powered up.
He picked her hands and stood up, leaned his palm on the table to trap her.
” We will discuss the wedding part later. But For now…” He said and gently kssed her lip.
Amy bit her lips, staring up at him.
” Naughty man.” She smiled.
He tried to kss her again but she stopped him.
” Catch me if you can.” She said running out of the kitchen.
Xan ran his fingers into his hair as he leaned himself on the table. He was going to marry her marry because he was into this with her.
He was going to fulfill his vows to love her till the end. She might have lost his baby or perhaps have a disabled womb but that won’t stop him.
He would prove to anyone that love was true.
