Chapter 60
Katrina picked up a clap again and xan joined in before vixen. Then the rest of the other workers participated in the applause as well.
After the end of the meeting, Amy rushed towards xan and pvnched his shoulder.
” Thanks alot!” She yelled at his face. Xan laughed, rubbing his shoulder painfully.
” You amaze me every single day, Amy. Do you know that?” he asked and Amy looked at him.
” How did i amaze you?. I was a big mess infront of everyone!. Didn’t you see they almost laughed at me.” She pouted, wanting to cry.
He smiled and took her by her wrist outside.
” I made you do it for a reason. I love you alot for being your true self and not hiding your raw talent even tho what you said was off from the normal business talk.”
” So you mean, you called me out for no reason!” She yelled and fumbled her lips together.
” Well I’m glad i did. Some workers approached me after the meeting and they said they loved my speech” She said.
” You see, That’s the benefit. Now you are popular.” He said and she laughed, hugging him tight.
” Can i take you out for lunch?” He asked, adjusting her hair behind her ear.
” Um…” She stepped away from him.
” Amy!. Amy!” Katrina voice rang as she came running along towards their direction.
She quickly turned to hug her tightly.
” Oh my gosh!. I never believed you could speak like that. Wait…did you and your freaky husband plan this?”
” No. I was shocked too when he called me out. Still a bit upset about it.” Amy pulled an angry face at him.
” Omg. That was so cute. I was so worried that i ended up holding my breath everytime you paused.” She said and hugged her again.
” Amy. Can i take you out for lunch?” She asked.
” Sure, yes” she quickly agreed.
” Hey, that’s cheating. I asked first!” Xan said.
” Chill. She’s your wife. You can have lunch with her till the rest of your life.” Katrina muttered.
Xan sighed and fumbled his lips.
” I’m jealous now.” He said.
” Awn. Such an addictive husband.” Katrina said .
” Fine. I’m not addictive. Go ahead and have fun with your ‘best friend’ ” He said , rolling his eyes.
The two ladies laughed as they walked away from him.
Xan was about to walk away when vixen came along, whilst hugging him tight from behind.
” Stop behaving like a toddler.” Xan said with a stiff face.
” Xan!. You wouldn’t believe this!!” He yelled.
” What is it?” He turned to face him.
” i just received a message from the TEXT that We won their one year billion dollar contract!” Vixen said.
Xan hands flew to his lips.
” Oh my God. You are not serious!.” He said.
Vixen folded his arm staring at him with a blunt expression.
” Gross. You stink when you lie.” Xan said turning his backs at him.
Vixen showed him the proof of the contract deal on his palmtop and xan jaw dropped again.
” My words…” He gasped, widening his eyes in a full moon.
” This calls for a very huge celebration, xan. We need to rock ourselves out”
Xan collected the palmtop and stared at it more closely. It was true. It was actually a contract deal.
He couldn’t believe this. He was rich!!!.
” Add that has part of this month event. We would have an official party to hold” He told him.

RESTAURANT.
Amy and kate had arrived at the restaurant and they ordered for same meal.
Katrina picked up her soda bottle as she sucked through the last sip.
” You are really a lucky girl to have xan, Amy.” Katrina said.
” Lucky?. Um…Why do you think so?” She asked.
” I’m starting to realise what a good guy xan is. He’s so smooth…so easy going. I’m sure he deserves a beautiful and meek girl like you too.”
” Stop making me flatter!” Amy laughed.
” You deserve it, bae.” She said and leaned closer to her.
” Tell me, what’s the most weirdest thing xan has done to you.” She asked, grinning hard.
Amy almost choked as the thought of it crossed her mind.
She laughed, covering her lips
” During our honeymoon. We swarm naked in the daylight and he made me feel so wierd” She said and they both burst out laughing hard.
” What of you?” Amy asked.
” Oh. Vixen and i are legends. We have done so many worthless things together.” She said and sipped through her drink.
” Can i shock you?”
” Um…okay.”
Katrina leaned close to her ear and whispered silently.
” I’m two weeks pregnant.” She said and Amy covered her lips in awe.
” Oh my God. That’s great news!.” Amy said. But deep down, she knew katrina would mother a child before her.
She tried to smile and not think negative even tho she was quite shattered inwardly.
” And guess what…we are planning on our wedding soon. Vixen is such an angel”
” Oh. Happy wedding in advance, then.” She smiled and looked down at her plate sadly.
Katrina noticed her slight change of mood. She placed her arm on her shoulder, rubbing them softly.
” Hey. Don’t feel sad, okay. You will definitely have a child of your own. It’s only with a matter of time” She said, rubbing her shoulder.
Amy nodded as her heart and fist clenched.
She pouted her lips as tears trickled down her eyes. She burst out crying not minding the guest that were staring at her worriedly.
” Oh geez. Amy, I’m so sorry.” Katrina said looking at the guest. She stood up and pulled her up towards the toilet.
Amy arrived at the toilet and fell her face into the sink as she sobbed more, continously without stopping.
” I’m so sorry for picking up a pregnancy discussion. I totally forgot. I’m sorry.” She pleaded, patting her back.
She could only rub her back and say affectionate words to her.
She sighed and didn’t realise the tears that had trickled down her eyes as well.
Amy stood up and rested her head on katrina’s chest as she shut her eyes tight, fidgeting her body as she wept.
” Even if it’s just one. Just one child.” She said as liquid spurted out of her nose.
” Don’t worry. It’s okay Amy. It won’t be one. Ugh..gosh. you are hurting yourself again.” She said and raised her chin, clearing her tears off her cheeks.
” How about we visit the baby clinic tomorrow.”
” Why?” She sniffed.
” i have a reason. I just need you to come with me, okay?”
Amy sniffed and nodded.
” Okay.” She said.

XAN’S MANSION.
Mrs lewis stepped into Xan’s room and looked around mischievously.
She sighted his file cabinet and went over it immediately.
” I’m sure it’s in here. He can’t hide it from me forever. I’m sure its here.” She said.
Mrs qin walked into the room and caught her scattering Xan’s belonging.
” Yes. I finally found it, ha!” Mrs lewis laughed.
” You found what?” Mrs qin walked in, crossing her arm under her chest.
Mrs lewis gasped as she turned to stare at her.
” So you finally came out of your room.”
” That’s not your business. What are you doing in the couples room?”
” That’s not your business too.” She said and tried to walk out but mrs qin stopped her by her wrist
” I’ve changed, mrs lewis. I wouldn’t take any word from you lightly. You called my daughter a barren woman a night ago, it actually pained me to the core and i was stuck crying for 24hrs”
” Woah. What an achievement!. I would love to…”

A deafening sI.ap blasted on mrs lewis face and the woman fell back on the bed.
” Speak, like you have manners.” Mrs qin said and dragged the paper from her.
Mrs lewis touched her hot cheeks. She was shocked and almost deaf in one of her ears.
” I wonder whats so important in this paper.” She said.
She checked what was inside and was more shocked than mrs lewis.
