Chapter 74
Katrina got back more energy and this time she was quite faster. Amy looked back behind her, feeling frustrated.
” Oh geez. She’s coming, Xan.” she said.
” Don’t look back. Seven more steps left. Faster!” Xan said, biting his lip in anxiousness.
Amy wanted to slip but Katrina caught her wrist immediately. They both held eachother as they climbed down the stairs.
The two ladies appeared to be in the same lane, matching at each step and they finished in a draw.
They finally jumped and hugged their husband the in process.
Xan took Amy up to rest on the sofa as they all laughed.
” It was a draw.” Xan said, sitting down with a sigh.
” I’m sure katrina would have won if she didn’t have to rest.” Vixen said glaring at kate.
Kate turned to him and squeezed the chocolate bar wrapper into his lip. He coughed and threw it out immediately.
They sat around the dinning table and vixen placed the weight scale on the floor.
” Okay. Time to find out who’s wife had been sneaking out at night to eat.” He said and everyone laughed out.
Katrina left her chair and stood on the weight scale, holding her waist.
” Oh geez.” She mouthed.
” Omg!. 105kg!” Vixen covered his mouth, laughing hard.
Amy came out as well and stood on the scaler as well, folding her arms.
” Holy Mary!. 120kg!” Vixen yelled, falling back on his seat and Amy bit her lips sadly.
” We’ve seen the wife who sneaks out of bed to eat at night.” Katrina laughs as well.
” No. That’s not true!” Amy yelled. Xan stood up and held his wife’s waist from behind.
” Hey. Hey. No one should make my wife feel biased. She’s carrying more babies so what do you expect” Xan said proudly.
” WOOoh!!” Kate and vixen clapped as they woohed them.
” But frankly aside the babies, Amy has more weight and size than me” Katrina said.
” Yeah. I love her that way, peeps” Xan said and kssed Amy cheeks cutely. She blushed hugely and quickly stepped down.
” Hey. Does everyone knows that next month is December and we should be preparing for Christmas.” Vixen asked.
Everyone picked up their phones to check the calender.
” Oh yeah. Yeah.” Amy said.
” This year ran so fast. I can still vividly remember last three weeks ago.” Katrina said.
” We would be expecting Amy’s kid at February and Katie’s kid at January, simple logic.” Vixen said, twirling the fork in his hands.
Mrs qin came down and they all greeted her respectively before they started to eat breakfast.

AT THE POLICE PENT
Xan and Amy visited the police pent as usual to see mrs lewis.
This was her third month in jail and she had few more months left for her.
The police got her gate opened and she stepped out tired and lazy to meet her son.
” Mother” Xan said catching her as she fell on Xan’s arm.
She rested her head on his shirt as she wept continously, just as usual whenever they came for their visit.
Xan rubbed her back gently while swooping some breeze on her forehead.
” I wish i had a way to get you out of here soon but the police are strict about their bailing sessions.” He said.
” You don’t have to. It’s all my fault am here. It’s my fault i have to suffer like a prisoner. I deserve to die instead.” She said, sobbing on his shirt.
Xan simply patted her as she made h®rrible words about herself.
” I’m a witch. Why would i ever try to hurt my own son after all you did for me. I was blinded and now, my eyes are open.”
She stood up and turned to Amy who was always hiding behind her husband as usual.
” Amy.” She called and Amy found herself grabbing hold of her husband, resting her cheeks on his arm.
She still had that fear for mrs lewis and never still trusted her.
” You…you’re heavily pregnant?.” She asked, trying to touch her stomach.
Amy shifted to a side to avoid making skin contact with her and her precious baby.
” Yes i am.” She replied, biting her lower lip.
” This is great news!. Xan why didn’t you tell me last time you came. I knew i had suspected her body movements.” She said.
” He doesn’t need to tell someone like you.” Amy mumbled stubbornly and xan looked down at her.
Mrs lewis sat down on the close bench as she used her rags cloth to clean her eyes.
Xan nudged Amy to go over and Amy shaked her heads, pouting up her lips sadly.
” Go meet her now ” Xan told her fiercely. She sighed having no choice.
Her fingers curled on her cloth as she approached her seat. She sat down and watched mrs lewis cry for a while before making a slight move.
” Um..m..Mother. I..i…” Before Amy could finish, mrs lewis grabbed her for a tight hug.
She wept on her daughter’s shoulder until Amy began to rub her backs.
” It’s okay, mother. You don’t have to cry like this.”
” No. No. I can’t stop. This is just so unbearable for me. I referred you as barren and i deserve to be treated badly for saying that to you”
The female police came out and tacked her watch.
” Two minute more.” She said and walked away.
Mrs lewis quickly grabbed Amy cheeks.
” Please take care of this baby. This baby is a real joy for you and your husband. I also pray i get to see you have this baby but fate might have it way on me soon”
” No. Don’t say that, mother. Fate will let you see your grandkid and you’ll love and cherish them too” Amy said and rested her head on her shoulder.
” I don’t think so.” Mrs lewis whispered.
The police came and took her up. Amy stood up and hugged xan as she watched the poor old lady being pushed away.
Mrs lewis leg wobbled and soon, she was down on the floor instantly.
